It's okay! Stephanie always say that if the cases she's covering is too much or it brings you(listener) to a very dark place and mood, you as a listener should prioritize your mental wellbeing and stop watching if you feel like it. No need to apologize❤️

The father can't shot him. Korea is not America. They have gun control law. Civilian don't have gun. Let not forget, Cho Doo-soon is physically strong. If he kill Na-young's father, he can say self defense. What will happen to Na-young's family after.
A bit of better part of the story, Na-young do have the support of her family, small amount of friends who knew what happened to her and a lot of strangers. The family support her through all of her recovery. Her friends help Na-young hide her identity from everyone who didn't know her real identity, they very supportive which truly amazing since all of them was her age. And stranger do help the family financially. Her parents quit their so they can support Na-young full time. They make a movie base on what happened to Na-young, the director who make the movie still in contact with Na-young family to gave them support. After Cho Doo-soon moving to the neighborhood, Na-young family move somewhere else to put distance between them, the family didn't have money to move, but everyone donate money for them to move.

There’s certain cases I can’t finish either, the junko one makes me extremely upset and I had issues sleeping after listening to part of it

It's okay! This is not an easy episode to listen to. But to answer why they only gave 12 years (from what I remembered watching this, someone can correct me) was because he was drunk. In Korea sentences can be reduced if a person is under the influence of alcohol when committing the crime which is absurd

To add to that, in the movie, one of the friends of the dad asked the judge: “People who have a DUI get severe sentences, and yet this guy almost killed a child and he only gets 12 years?” Also, in Korea, the age of the child is different. Usually, it’s 1 year older or 2 years, depending on your birth month. So, it’s possible that she was younger when this occurred. Instead of being 8, she could’ve been 7 or 6. 12 years meant that she would have been only in her later teens. Imagine!

Thank you for taking your time to hear this story. It's okay you can continue listening without recording or just stop listening to it altogether bcs it's a very sad and energy-consuming. Just to give heads up on where the story is going, Nayoung and her family managed to move out of the neighborhood, the monster is on house arrest but he's planning something bcs police kept losing his tracks. I just hope someone find him and you-know-what-to-do to him so that the world is at peace once again. Thank you again for taking your time, please react to Stephanie Soo and her Chinaverse stories

I’m going to skip watching this reaction, because I remember watching this RM video. I remember trying my best to sit through and listen to this and I cried so much. I couldn’t handle the gory details. The victim is not just a victim, but a survivor. It is beyond heartbreaking, the amount of emotional, physical and psychological trauma she had to endure, and is still has to endure. It also pisses me off to know that that evil, disgusting scumbag villain is out free. Korean justice system is seriously messed up.

Because of Stephanie, I got to know the reality for Korea and China. That it's not all romantic, beautiful adn enchanted country at all. The beefs for the government, citizens and everything has awakened me. So I'm really enjoying this RM reactions. But I agree that not all featured cases of her are easy to watch. As Stephanie always say, it's okay to skip and just wait for their next episode. If you want an easy listen/viewing, you can go to Stephanie Soo channel. ❤

It's horrible and disgusting. I can't forget this incident. When I first read about this case, I just cried and couldn't calm down for a long time. This case and the story of Junko... also the stories of people who survived military torture and if anyone has read about the Nanjing massacre…I wish I'd never found out about it. You lose faith in humanity after all this. But thank you for your courage and reaction

oof this ep also took me a few watches to actually finish. the constant injustices felt like a slap to the face each time & ended with a sense of hopelessness since, as mentioned in the beginning, he p much got away with it. Totally understand if you guys don't finish some episodes as there are some really really dark ones that may keep getting recommended. Hope you guys take care of yourselves first

Human is much much more sinister. It makes devil insecure. If you do have strong mental health, you can react / watch by yourself the n-th room, burning sun, inhwa boarding school by Stephanie too.
I read and listen to true crimes as learning and makes myself aware of possibility of one unlucky day. The most story i regret knowing the details is Junko Furuta case. Its just out Evil.

Unfortunately for those in the business of justice, those in civilized that society work to ensure justice is blind and fair. Often times however attempting to achieve "blind justice" means being blind to the most obvious suffering A crime causes, in other words being that fair can easily lead to a literal miscarriage of justice. There's an old belief in western society, that emblem of justice personified, the statue outside our courthouses of a blindfolded woman holding scales, the literal scales of justice. She's not just blind folded in order to hear both sides fairly without bias, she's also blindfolded so we don't see the tears she cries for the victims in those stories that wind up in court houses.
That to be clear applies to those seeking actual law in order based on the letter of the law in good faith, not this schmuck of a prosecutor whose life mission is apparently doing a piss poor cosplay of an actual human being with a soul.
