Just ordered one I have a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the 5.3 has 79,000 miles on it and I’ve been hearing a lot of good things about this device. I was just tired of the try going to V4 mode and back to the V8 all the time hope this product works 😊
I have a 2014 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3 and it has 220k miles on it with the factory engine, if you don’t dog these engines and keep up on maintenance they are pretty reliable, I just recently got a afm disabler just to make sure
I have heard battery drain issues with these devices but I did not recall you covering that issue. I just bought a new 2024 GMC with the 5.3 and would appreciate you explaining why the battery could drain when not in use. Thank you for the information!
T - Our device plugs into the OBD2 port and even when the vehicle is off, it pulls a very minimal amount of power, 0.71mA to be exact, which happens to be the lowest on the market. You can leave your vehicle parked for 2+ weeks with the device plugged in and there won’t be substantial battery drain. However, if you are worried about it draining your battery, you can always unplug it every time you get out of your vehicle.
I just bought a 2024 silverado lt trailboss with the 5.3L. After test driving the 2024 f150 xlt powerboost with the 3.5l, I was not at all impressed. Unfortunately I have always been a Ford guy. The silverado feels like a solid built pickup in comparison with plenty enough power. Both have their issues.
As much as I love the old 5.7 vortec 350 engines, the first generation 5.3 LS engines far exceed them. It went to shit when they started using the afm and dfm systems. You can still disable or fully delete it and have a rock solid engine. It's just costly. There's a reason why the LS swap is the most common engine swap today. They literally swap the 5.3 6.0 and 6.2 LS engines into everything, just like they did the 350 and 454 swaps back in the day.
F - Unfortunately, we don't have a device that works for the newer models. However, we are working on a device that will work and hope to release it early next year!
so.... basically no new engines last past 100k miles.... SAD! Is there a way to check if the software was not installed for the cylinder deactivation!? I don't want that!

My 2023 GMC 6.2L battery replacement at 8k.

J - Congrats on the new truck! Thanks for sharing your experience.
So you're ok with the chance of lifters failing and grinding down cam lobes sending metal dust throughout the engine?
my 2016 has been great other than underpowered for towing. Only hit 100k just now though
H - Thanks for sharing your experience!
Have a 2023 GMC Yukon 6.2L with 15k. At dealership awaiting 3rd engine. I believe all were lifter issues. So mad, I am thinking 3.0 diesel now?
R - Wow... sorry to hear. However, thanks for taking the time to share your experience!
I will be getting a 2025 Suburban with the 5.3 engine. Any idea when the device will be coming for the 10 speed?
C - We are hoping to release a device early next year!
When they stopped using vortec that’s when shit hit the fan
T - Pretty much!

G - They don't make em like they used to unfortunately..
Will the disabler possibly void warranty?
M - No, it wouldn't void your warranty because it doesn't tune your ECU.
Will Boost work on a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3?

R - There is! Do you have a 2021 model year? Those are the ones that didn't due to chip shortages in COVID.
👍🔥
E - Thanks for the feedback!
Yes that is cool Peace out
D - Thanks for the feedback
Just got a 2011 ppv tahoe with 140 mph dash and just replaced plugs at 101k and one was burnt
T - Congrats on the new ride. Thanks for sharing your experience.
You forgot to mention..... remove transmission thermostat and put the Sure Cool part # STL010
G - Thanks for the insight.
Hey so I’m looking to get a new 2024 Chevy trail boss with the 5.3 or the new f150 3.5 eco boost power boost which 1 would be more reliable?
J - It's hard to tell honestly since these vehicles and engines are so new. Just maintain them properly and they should both be good.
Own a 2024 Silverado 5.3l how soon will you guys put something out for 2024?
L - This is something we are working on and hope to have updates on our website at the beginning of the year.
Go with the Chevy. You can disable the dfm for now and eventually delete it when and if you get to engine failure.
Wondering if you made a decision between these two vehicles? If so, what was the deciding factor? Thx!
I've got a 2001 gmc sierra with this engine with 350k miles. Should I go with same engine when I eventually replace it?
E - We wouldn't, but we can't tell you what to do.
Yours doesn't have afm or dfm. Chevy didn't start using it until like 2007.
can i use ur oroduct on my 2021 silverado 2.7 turbo ?
S - Unfortunately, it will not fit your vehicle.
Does it work on 2021 suburban? (10 speed)
V - Unfortunately no. However, we are looking into a solution for the 10 speeds.
