Why do they need so many guages? In a modern car you only have a few. Is it to more closely moniter the old engines. If you had a modern engine would you have the same monitoring options?
Good question and you are correct, in the old days we needed to monitor the trends before something bad happened. With today's technology we just have a light that comes on and tells us what to do. I used all those gauges to make the car look period-correct for 1965.
I used the FFR supplied Vintage Air heater and just made some brackets that allowed the mount to be positioned where I needed it. I also used the full-size glovebox.
