New Nankang AR-1 tires and an anti sway bar added to the front to help with the oversteer.
Просмотров 185Год назад
This was a test and tune back in April for 2022. I was testing out my new tires and front anti sway bar. It was a cold day, which isn't ideal for the tread wear 100 tires, but the improvement all around is fantastic! I chose this run because I did push it too hard going around a righthand sweeper, but the recovery was easy. All in all, I don't have the oversteer issues I did before, the front s...

I wanted delay wipers and a wash function, so I installed a Cole Hersee switch, sprayers and reservoir. They were on some of the original 427s, so I wasn't too worried about the looks. They are for moving fresh air to the foot wells, one on each side with push/pull shut off valves. They each have their own fan. It took a bit of trial and error to keep engine bay heat off the ducts, but I finally figured out that the radiant heat from the headers was the biggest issue and deflectors fixed that.

What are your tires pressures? Lower the rear for more bite. Or add air to the front to add under steer. Only make one change at a time when testing. If what you try doesn’t help, put it back and move to the next step. Are you running a front or rear sway bar? If yes, try taking the rear off. If you’re just running the front, try removing it. Soften the rear springs, try again. If not fixed, stiffen the front, try again.

It is still very fun. I just recently took it out on a cold day for a canyon run. Even with the side windows out it was warmer than with the top off.
