Private eyes Max Warner (Dutton) and Doug Hart (Campbell) are hired by grieving mother Helen Applewhite (Maxwell). Her daughter Nicky (Shannon) was supposedly killed in a boat explosion but a body was never found and someone claims to have spotted Nicky in Johannesburg. So Max heads to South Africa and takes a safari with lookalike guide Sandra. Max falls in love while trying to discover the truth.
