  • Freddie March, who founded the Goodwood Motor Circuit worked for Bentley after he left university. He was so inspired that he would get hold of an MG to race himself and take part in races at Brooklands. Eventually Freddie’s bug led to him founding his own racing team, with MGs, buying the first three MG Monthlery Midgets for the Brooklands Double 12. He would win the race and the Team won the Team prize first time out. The team and the MGs would go on to much pre-war success, helping to inspire the founding of the Goodwood Motor Circuit after the war. At the Goodwood Revival in 2021 one of the MGs that raced in that seminal contest returned to Goodwood.

How eloquently Duncan speaks; he'd make a fine commentator at FOS or the Revival. What a fine ambassador the Duke is for motor racing too.

Wonderful. Threads of history spun into a trail that leads to Goodwood that is really the only true centre of the Universe. of Old car racing of course.

Yet another great doco compliments from Goodwood, and follows the general ethos of historic motorsport and Goodwood's part in it.
