    thanks for the video, it is always good to watch before doing it forst time :))
    original filters are quite expensive, I like going for good quality alternatives. Also the IVECO oil "URANIA DAILY" 5w30 is much cheaper (ducato 2.3 MJ 2007) than the Selenia WP p.e. 5W30 both sold for same 2.3 MJ - one used by fiat the other by IVECO company

    Tip: bang a screwdriver into the bottom of your oil filter so the contained oil comes out in a controlled manner into your container.

    Jof, just to say the ACEA2 is the correct oil spec. 0w 30 or 5w30 is ok. It’s ACEA2 because it smokes less, using a lower spec like ACEA3 could lead to premature DPF blockages. Thanks for another useful video.

      @@MOHOTELADVENTURES Hi JoF nice video - thanks. jonmartin is correct regarding the oil spec. For the Euro6 engines the correct oil is 0w30 ACEA C2 low SAPS oil. The ACEA A5/B5 oil you used is not low SAPS and will not be kind to the catalytic converter. Looks like your oil supplier has given you incorrect info. If you want to use Duckhams their QXR 0w30 C2 oil is the correct one.

    Thanks for the video. For any Castrol fans out there, straight from the data sheet : Castrol MAGNATEC 0W-30 GS1/DS1 is suitable for use in automotive gasoline and diesel vehicles where the manufacturer recommends an ACEA C2 or earlier specification 0W-30 lubricant. Castrol MAGNATEC 0W-30 GS1/DS1 is suitable for use in Fiat vehicles that require a 0W-30 lubricant that Meets Fiat 9.55535-GS1 or Fiat 9.55535-DS1 specification.

    thanks for video. I have the same vehicle.I drained the oil and took the old filter out. I then left it for half an hour to drain completely. Replaced the sump plug and new filter and put in 6 litres of oil. The odd thing is that it showed an overfill on the dipstick by about 1cm over the max mark. this was all done on level ground by the way. Odd?

      We change every 12 months.
      To reset the service warning light on the Fiat Ducato you must turn on the instrument panel, press and hold the accelerator pedal and, while doing so, press the brake pedal six times. Keep the accelerator pressed for another 30 seconds, then turn off the ignition and wait 60 seconds before turning it on again.

      @@MOHOTELADVENTURES thank you , when the oil cools right down (cold) more of the oil will then be back in the sump so theoretically it should be higher up the dip stick would you tend to discard that reading ? the only reason I’m asking as it can be confusing because most people tend to check the oil when it’s cold ?

    • @MOHOTELADVENTURES
      @MOHOTELADVENTURES  9 месяцев назад

      @mikemills9375 try not to over fill check hot or cold when it’s hot it runs back to the sump quick, when cold all the oil should be the same all back in your sump pan.

      @@MOHOTELADVENTURES Thanks again for answering my question, this is my experience , when I dip the oil (hot)after waiting 5 minutes as it says in the handbook it is for an example say 75 % up between the min-max markers but if I wait until the oil is stone cold it is 100 % as nearly every drop of oil is now in the sump .
      I get it that the handbook says to dip it after 5 minutes but if I had not have read that I would have been dipping it cold and topping up or looking to take some out but whatever one it is it will be a false reading if you get my point . I don’t think that I am on my own on this but I believe that it could be a major issue for someone that doesn’t do their own servicing and only dip when cold .
