Your presentation style is fine. You're not here to be a professional youtuber, you've made it clear from the start it's to record memories and to pass on your experiences to others. The informal unscripted style makes it more authentic imo. The places and channels you've listed off, you should be posting their information in the description or as a pinned comment - doesn't have to be everything about them, just a link to their official website, social media page and/or youtube channel.
Great walkthrough mate. Very helpful as I’m looking at doing a similar build and have kids and a van similar ect. similar to you. Have you found the long range tank useful? I like the security and safety of extra fuel without having heaps of Jerry cans, but don’t like the cost and inconvenience of a rear bar + wheel carrier.
We really have found it useful! It allows us to be selective with our fuel stops too. Also, with long drives eg; Nullarbor or our drive from Alice Springs to Yeppoon, we really appreciated being able to drive approx 900km without needing a fuel stop.
The SAFE average we work off is 30L/100km. Our dash cluster is normally around 27L/100km. We don't see much discrepancy between the dash and fuel bowsers. Best is around 25L/100km. WORST was Port Augusta to Coober Pedy in a head wind.. 37L/100km towing at 110kmh
@ Yeah its a pretty big van though, guessing 3.5T, full height and width? Not too bad. Your in a great position with the YT stuff mate ATM having the Y62 I think as many people like me are looking at alternatives to the 300 series because of the V6 issues and the higher price.
Thats a big reason we chose the Y62 over a LC200/300. We were getting prices of $135k for a VX LC300 with a 6-month wait in 2023.. Pretty much did all our works with DMW for the cost difference!
Nice.
Like it... No bull shit. Keep blogs coming

Thanks for the feedback mate, I've added the details in the description

@ thanks for the reply! 900k. Does that mean you’re using around 30l per 100 towing the van?
