Shame about your car, I was watching Dash Offroad You Tube and he was sating 40mm lift and trouble free but 50mm up a few issues. It was a good video on suspension on the Y62 you might find some info on there.
Thanks for commenting! :) We've been in talks with DASH and the 4x4DNA team.. they think we might need to move up to an armoured car series spring with 600kg contant :| We will be visiting them next year :)

886km on 292 litres is 32.95 l/100km. Just sayin. Great video, safe travels.
He did say that he had 15 Litres left in his tank, so probably correct at 29/100.
@@markandkim66Doesn’t work like that. Fuel used is fuel used. They did 886km and used 292 litres of fuel to do that 886km, simple maths.
@@BradPhoto24.7 have to disagree. If he had 15L left in his tank, then the actual usage was 886k for 277L, not 292L. 140 main tank and 152 aux tank.
@@markandkim66First receipt 150 litres, second receipt 149.84 litres, total put into the vehicle 299.84 litres. Just watched that part again, so we’re both wrong LOL. Part of this 299.84 litres went in the jerry cans so the figure of fuel this car used will be probably around the 29 or 30 or so, can’t tell unless actual amount put in cans is known.
theres something wrong--- i tow a 3500kg off road van and my fuel in a y62 is 22l per 100

Great that you installed extra fans to keep cool, but no mention of a heater. How do you stay warm? Is the washing machine a washer/dryer combo or do you go to a laundromat?
We use the split system as a heater. We have a gas heater being installed Friday :) No washer/dryer combo, just a washing line and lately we've used dryers at caravan parks/laundromats due to the cold weather down south.
I've done the maths, new van $100k plus New car $90k plus travel money ???? 6 months later Sell Van $50k sell car $60k all travel money gone not enough deposit for house , can't find rental cause rental market is to tight. buy tent live in park , claim unemployment , spend remaining funds on incidentals you don't need 6 months on,,,, still cant find house to rent , council has moved you on from squatting in park with your tent , no job prospects , and so on and so forth.... the end

Does it drive as well on road with the gvm. My worry is that it wont be as nice
The extra height from the lift & larger tyres create extra body roll, that's for sure!. Suspension wise, we don't know what a 'standard' Y62 drives like lol. Our assumption is that it drives firmer, due to the rated springs. Must admit, the ride wasn't as important to us as the GVM and being legal. We came from a RG Colorado.. so we are more comfortable with the car being larger too.

Congrats on the new tow rig! It takes a few fill-ups to get used to the high total on the pump with big capacity, I know. I'm in the US and haul a travel trailer with a Ram dually that's also thirsty (50 gal tank), and also own a couple of semis for even bigger fill ups (238 gal useful). A while back fuel prices spiked here after some storms took out refinery capacity, leading to a couple fills on the semis that went over $1,000. That'll make your eyes bug out! Looks like you popped into my feed at the beginning of your adventure. Subbed and looking forward to seeing more!

Look you tube is littered with people living the dream that can quickly become a nightmare, sell the house , buy the big tow vehicle and van Over capitalise got to have the best , and then attempt to tell us who cares what van they buy No idea about after sales service no one cares , about you van and car and what you put on it , just more $ down the drain , and pay premium for it . Hope not however this has all the sighs of what a disaster.

I imagine you've already done this but I believe there are various website and apps that tracks fuel prices so you can get the best bang for your buck.
Absolutely! We use PetrolSpy & the log book from FuelMapAustralia.
Do I see plastic still on the grab handles? Btw how did they know that secondary tank won't be pissing out fuel if they didn't fill it up after install?

Congrats. I found when going from my 2017 Hilux, to my 23 TI-L, the width of the vehicle was the hardest thing for the Mrs to get used to. Chalk and cheese from the Colorado and the Y62. Holds the road superbly, even in wind. Awesome stopping ability and doesn't look back when overtaking. I absolutely love towing my van with mine. Sub'd.
So a 295/70R18 is not 34 and a quarter inch anymore? When did this happen? Love how quick he was to tell her no that's not correct when he has no idea himself 😂
The infotainment system is from the 1990s.

@@dezza718 My guess is you are driving around in a stock 70 series because they still come with a cassette player and are the best 4x4 ever made straight out of the box.

Well done guys. Your channel just popped up. We picked up our Patrol Warrior 2 weeks ago at Nissan Aspley. We did the 3999 DMW pre rego at EC Offroad, same Crawler wheels but we kept the 295 Geolanders that were already on it and the 12.3 screen. It hasn't clocked 200klm's yet but goes back to EC after 1000klm for a GVM check up. Not sure if you got told the same from DMW. Our Prado looks like a matchbox car beside the Patrol...it's huge....know what you mean..
Hi can I ask there was any difference in getting the 3999 dmw pre rego than a til compared to the warrior?
@@user-ro7io5nu2b To be honest, I wasn't sure if a GVM and GCM upgrade could be done to a Warrior after Premcar had already modified the suspension. I contacted EC Offroad and they said, of course it can be done. The cost difference between the 3999 & 4499 was about $3,300 (lower rear arms and maybe different coils..not sure if the same coils are used for both). We were told if we didn't want a rear bar and extra tank (like you got), the 3999 would be sufficient. Aspley trucked the car to EC and picked it up at no cost to me.

Hey! Unfortunately the Patrol Warrior wasn't available to us at the time of ordering our car, but no regrets :)
But you have nothing to come back when the travelling stops.
Isn't that part of the adventure? We will find somewhere to settle down when we finish the caravan travelling life. But for now, come along with us as we explore this amazing country :)
You can’t have too much fuel capacity. It’s not just going out bush. Just driving the Stuart Hwy, & getting fuel at those servo’s along the way. Now you can bypass all of them 👍

Gvm upgrade include bigger brakes bigger radiator ect. Axel's upgraded as well?
Hey! To my knowledge, the brakes and radiator are unchanged. The rear Lower Control Arms were changed, diff bracing, rated springs and also extended Upper Control Arms as well as the HBMC modified. Hope that helps :)
