Thanks Dave. You are always so inspiring. I am a pro plus member of your course for over two years. I cannot thank you enough for the Photographic Thoughtfulness and Skills I have gained by being with you.
Thanks Dave...
Thanks Neuro. Anytime! Love to hear that. Thanks for supporting what I'm creating. Really glad you find it useful. It's been fun to create all that stuff.

Great video as usual Dave. I am a 70yr old living in the flatlands of Norfolk, UK and would have loved to photograph the wilderness like this. Your trip imagery allows me to be there in my imagination, as well as learning something for my own photography. Thanks
That photo of the trees on the ridgeline in front of Mount Stewart is great!
Photos allowed for it. Capital P.
Thank you for always sharing so much with us, so freely.
Excellent video and PS tutorial. Thanks for your thorough explanation of why you are shooting a scene describing the light and dark lines. Very helpful.
Another awesome video where you learn so much. That follow the lines made so much sense. Your eyes really do that. Can't wait to try it out. You make a great instructor. 👍
Thanks so much!!
Thanks Dave!
Just adding a comment for the algorithm.
much love.
Pls take care if yourself
Thanks!
Fantastic work Dave! Thank you.
loved it! thank you
Amazing view!
Love the camera strap!!!
Another great video and enjoyed your in-field discussion about some aspects of your composition and a great tip about cropping your image to make your subject the dominant feature in the image
Excellent
Thanks for sharing - I am leaning so much from you. I definitely appreciate you showing how you choose what you are shooting and the graphics help me see what you are talking about. - Thanks
Great vid! I love those high mountain scenes!
Another inspirational video. Great work.
Thanks again!
Great video, thanks a lot for your hard work in producing them
Always awesome videos Dave!
Thanks Andrew.
Excellent advice! Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks for a really useful tip/lesson and another great video.
As usual, I am in awe of your tenacity and adventurous attitude. Thanks so much for doing these inspiring films!
I really appreciate the explanations/thought processes behind the shots 👌
Glad to hear it!
I never thought of the safety shot for the foreground. Thanks for the idea.
Appreciate the detail you provide about your thought process. Gives me a lot to consider when I’m out shooting.
Thanks Dave! Love your videos and adventures. I really wish I could do that.
Really nice video Dave. The locations you visit are just incredible! Keep up the great work!
Dave you're the man. Everything you post here on youtube has helped me immensely. I am also a big fan of the podcast. Thanks for all the work you put in
Thanks Calvin!
Thanks Dave, I'm a landscape photography follower. I like the procedure you bring into your presentation. I have learned a significant amount from your instruction to have the eye following the line in the photo. The scenes you show are good examples of following the eye to the main focal image of the photo. Your criticism/discussions of your photos are well planned. Thank you for your very professional presentations.
Thanks Dave for another great video. Whenever I'm wondering about something to do with my photography I always know to look for your content~you never fail to have an answer that comes complete with an amazing experience.
It's another good video. I like hearing your thought process about composition. The discussion of why one didn't work and examining the bad ones is valuable. I don't do that enough. Your PS techniques were short enough not to bog down in minutiae yet stimulate further research by the viewer. Well Done!
Really nice to follow the on location thought process followed up with your image critique and workflow of each scene as you shoot it Dave, really like that approach
Thanks Jeremy! Good to have feedback.
Great video, Dave! I love your work and I learn a lot as an amateur photographer. Thanks for sharing your tips!
My pleasure!
Really nice video Dave. The locations you visit are just off the charts! I get excited just seeing them on the computer. Can't imagine how it would be to experience these locations in person. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Larry. Going to really wild locations becomes addicting. Sometimes being on those spots is surreal.
Great Video Dave. Good to see critical analysis of shots that don't always make it, and the reasoning why.
Appreciate it!
Maybe if you get a minute, it would be interesting to know all the places you've seen on your journey., and your favorites.
A huge thank you for sharing your knowledge and sharing your love for photography. I along with other followers have learned so much. Your real life videos are the best educational tools I have ever experienced. I’m a hobbyist amateur photographer been loving my hobby for many years, your talent is incredible the best I’ve seen. Your an inspiration too so many photographers. Stay humble & pursue your dreams with your love for landscape photography.
Is the DLSR still alive? I can’t afford to upgrade yet.
Hi Dave love your videos, and the way you explain what and how you do it - but would it possible if you make a comment about which lens you use to the specific shot - I have notice in the last couple videos you use different ones
Thanks Dave. You are always so inspiring Just wondering what white balance you use most of the time.
Dave I wish I can join you in the wilderness and take photos. I live in a small island and we don't have that kind of wilderness in Malta. Thanks for sharing.
Kolay gelsin.
Great videos and clear explanations. Love listening to your teachings. Are you alone? If not how did you manage all of those videos of yourself?
You're welcome. Thanks for watching. yeah alone on this trip. All go pro. Here's the setup --> www.davemorrowphotography.com/p/whats-in-dave-morrows-camera-bag.html
Great video. Could you do something on printing?
This is so amazing! Another inspiring video! I remember you releasing a video about this, but would you mind a brief discussion on why photographers should avoid Instagram and how it is possible to market one's work without Social Media?
Thanks. Sure. I'll release a new video on my thoughts about all that stuff. Thanks for the idea:)
Always a pleasure to watch your latest videos with a share of your photoand post photo techniques. Keep it up! don t you think that Lightroom with ita new mask features could replace Photoshop for the post photo optimization?
these sessions make me feel that I am right there on site. It seems like I'm way up on a height....
Another great video Dave! Although it might be obvious, how do you find these places to shoot. Im in the east and there is not as much "wilderness" to explore. Could you share some suggestions for places to go, or look for areas? thanks, keep up your great work.
Great video. Do you know the name of that alpine lake?
Do you use weather sealed gear?
yeah.
Wow I've been looking for an alternative for the colour wheel (ever since PS discontinued it) for so long. Thank you for it! Btw, I tried to sign up for the 10 day trial, but all the videos are locked.
Try it again. Should be all good to go:)
What your plan when the lighting hits around you? I see guys put up their tent and wait it out but this action seems dangerous to me. What I do for now is put everything away from me, go look for a little whole or well hucked down and wait. protecting the ears. One time I had to wait 45 mins, intense, scary and beautiful ;D
Great work, Dave. Too many videos without a vision (not yours) and color theory.
Thanks Mike!
I haven't noticed in your videos, PDFs and commentary that you don't seem to use notes. Was that something that you used in the past and left behind once you had more experience?
Great question. Love this one. Will do a video on this. My plan is to start releasing Q&A videos on the regular.
I’ve heard light coming through the viewfinder can affect the exposure and so the viewfinder cap should be used. Have you noticed this to be the case? I shoot in live view as you recommend, and the viewfinder shuts down. Does this solve the problem with light entering through the viewfinder?
Hey Robert. It won't matter unless you're taking super long exposures, say a few minutes.
@@DaveMorrow Awesome. Thanks for the info.
At 4:59 you say "... I'm just shootin' on mirror up mode". Isn't that a mirrorless camera? Just curious.
haha. yeah, it's because the previous 6 years of making videos I shot on a D810. This was the first videos shooting mirrorless. So used to it:)
I see no listing or visual use of lens hoods or CPL or ND filters. Does this mean you don't use them?
Good question. Will do a video on that. Thanks!
