The distortion is her growling. She is quite the champ at growing too!! She has crazy technique. Just thinking about growling at that note makes my throat hurt!

Outstanding performance. One of my favorite things here is how adorably nervous Ed is around Beyoncé.
He still does a great job, but he’s blushing almost the entire time. Then again, who can blame him?😅
She was having a blast and that voice is immaculate ! She’s been at this for 30 years her voice is still amazing !

It was heavily requested for a reason! It’s really one of her top 5 performances on ANY stage.
This was from the All-star Grammy Tribute in 2015. The whole show and all the performances was dedicated to Stevie Wonder. This Beyoncé performance in particular was the opening performance of the event.

Beyoncé has a growl due to some vocal issues she had when she was younger. Once she healed her vocal cords, she perfected them and trained them for her to be able to do a growl
My favourite thing about watching Beyonce perform at the Grammys specifically is seeing the love and appreciation she gets from her peers from all industries, from different genres.
There’s a video montage out there of all the rock and metal singers saying how much they love her as an artist because she actually sings, dances and works so hard. It’s a shame the Grammys have tarnished their relationship with her (she hasn’t performed there since they messed up her Drunk in Love performance, her first performance back since after having Blue, she was really sad after)

Also, there are plenty of songs with Beyoncé rapping. She helped pioneer what’s now known as Melodic Rap thanks to Wyclef Jean and No No No part 2. She’s also rapped in Carmen Jones (Hip Hopera), she’s rapped on some tracks for DJ Khalid, The Carters (album), and even made history with Megan The Stallion last year at the Grammys as the first female Duo to win best Hip Hop Performance for Savage (remix).
You know what? Ed Sheeran week would actually be awesome. He has some great music videos and some great live performances.
