The Mod "Stargate at War: The Pegasus Chronicles" is THE definitive Stargate Game (in part because of the lack of SG Games at all). Conquer the Milky Way as System Lord or Tau'ri, defend or destroy the ancient empire of the Pegasus Galaxy as Alterans or Wraith. The setting fits perfect for EaW's robust game mechanics and loop.

Nice, Combined Arms mentioned. Always felt that mod for OpenRA to be highly underrated. Real happy it's getting a shout-out here. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants more C&C stuff. It's even got a full-campaign with the only thing missing being cutscenes and voice-acted dialogue, but the campaign is still there and it's structured nicely, which is rare in RTS mods. One of my favorite aspects, as mentioned in the video is how it combines the factions from Tiberium and Red Alert, from ALL, their games. From TibDawn to TibWars and RA1 to RA3. The best part, it keeps to the tib-dawn artstyle. I was shocked at just how good the Scrin faction looked in TibDawn art-style and how nicely they fit in with everything else, love it when mods port in stuff from future titles while also making them fit into the game's look.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, many people mentioning it is the reason I made to include it in this video. If you have other RTS game mods you like make sure to mention them and I will include them in future videos.

@@perafilozof But then most of these are not so much BAR features as the Spring-Recoil engine features, many of which have been around for two decades now. You should really look up antimatter it’s a indie game that’s been in development for the past few years but its single developer doesn’t want to release it until it’s in a almost finished condition
Oh I keep my eye on it, and I have talked about it in many videos of upcoming games. It is just that for the last 6 months almost nothing new has happened about it.
Estoy haciendo un mod realista de Empire Earth. En estas semanas hoy a sacar una actualización importante y posiblemente salga en Steam pronto, pero siempre estará gratis en Modb.
at one point, they said that they would allow a way for somebody to use their Warhammer total war dlcs together from different platforms, did they implement that at some point, or no? Like I have total wars 1 and 2 on epic, but got 3 on steam before getting the epic games ones but my PC couldn't handle to have them installed unless I deleted everything, so idk if I should delete everything, get the launcher, get all my DLCs together, then delete it before the launcher is deleted, or if they never actually implemented that feature.
Hi, I am not sure, I really don't follow Warhammer Total War games that extensively. I know that option was mentioned before, but I am not sure was it implemented. Best to ask on Total War sub reddit or their official discord.
@@perafilozofthe problem is not only being cartoonish but also it Doesn’t look like a battlefield colors not working, and to be honest most of the people I know love RTS games prefer a darker and more grim atmospheres rather than this picnic like environments
@ Awakening of the Rebellion is a favorite of mine, but Coreys team with Thrawns Revenge and Fall of the Republic are notable mentions. The Clone Wars is also a timeless classic and can’t go wrong with it. I’ve been through all the ins and outs of Empire at War modding in my 1600 hours over the last 10 years
If you like mods that unify the two universes of Command and Conquer, definitely check out C&C Reloaded. It merges everything in the Red Alert 2 engine and it looks really nice. It also still gets updates!
That you are correct my friend. Too much focus on competitive multiplayer from bigger companies and too few Singleplayer campaigns from the smaller ones.
Yes. And by the looks of it they know it. But it is hard to turn this ship around at this stage. That is why I hope the make a great comeback with a totally new game
I am more than happy to hear "OpenRA". Recently EA made a move with polished, unbalanced and glitchy RA and people kinda forgot about OpenRA. I'm glad it is still getting some recognition. However I'll pass the game mode. Why would you place ww2 factions with sci-fi factions smh...
Well the entire Red Alert story is based around time travel, and even RA1 has wacky advanced technology like invincibility shields, teleportation and Tesla weaponry. Also Combined Arms isn't a game mode, it's a standalone mod and has a full campaign with the very deliberate theme of merging timelines and universes, which is very much in-line with the whole C&C franchise.
@@perafilozof Of course, there are many, I will only list those, that are downloadable and surely I will forget some :D OpenRA: Tiberian Origins - it's quite old, they were the first to do Allies+Soviets+GDI+Nod in OpenRA. It is very basic also. Certainly no comparison to CA. Not much new stuff. Cameo Mod - It has all the games. Like Starcraft and Warcraft, C&Cs, Advance Wars, Star Wars, it is chaotic, but the stuff is there. More like a fun sandbox than a well balanced game :D It mostly includes the assets from the original games. YMCA (You Must Construct Additional...) - it has those 4 factions + China from Generals, also wants to include USA + GLA. Sub-Factions like Combined Arms. It is much faster paced than the other OpenRA games, economy scales very fast and aims to give huge battles reliably. It has a lot of new things, in the future all original assets are aimed to be replaced. Yuris Revenge (RA2): C&C Reloaded - It is also very old, but still great today, probably one of the first to do that concept over all C&Cs. It has also new stuff, does a fantastic job to blend Tiberian Sun into RA2. Tiberian Sun: Dawn of the Tiberium Age - It is TD + RA1 in Tiberian Sun. It's impressive how much the Tiberian Sun engine can improve those old games. Probably closest to Combined Arms, which has better game play (due to being OpenRA also), but DTA has a unique look, Tiberian Sun engine has very good athmospheric lighting. C&C Generals: CnC All Stars - It's TD + RA2 in Generals, it looks quite clunky, but it works. Invasion Confirmed - It is even clunkier, a bit chaotic/fun like Cameo and has RA1,2 and 3 as well as Nod+GDI. C&C RA3: Generals Evolution - Dunno if that counts, because it puts Generals into the RA3 engine, which is a good combo, because Generals has the better gameplay and RA3 engine is the better engine, but it has none of the classic C&C factions, so might not count here for this list?
Reducing the number of people who are interested in making mods for your game, when you are already dealing with a small market and few people ever knowing of your game.
Does the standalone launcher for battle for middle earth include the games? Or do you have to own them (I do on disk) Also does it come with the zoom mod! Only reason I don’t play them is the stupid zoom level in game :(
@ the zoom out mod, it used to be a skirmish map you had to load up first then could zoom out further, didn’t work properly for campaign tho. Only reason I don’t play anymore is zoom out restrictions in it
Hello Peter, you could devote a video recording"Foxhole", this is a game of strategy that I played and it seemed to me strange that you do not mention him in your videos
Hi, the reason I don't talk about that game is because I never got into that game or understood its gameplay back when it was getting developed. But when I find some time I will look into it so I can include it in my videos. Thank you for the recommendation.
i lost track of Relic after COH 3 released which was a crap show on steam. So they went independent now? If so then i hope they can get back on their feet because AoE 4 was actually really good and being free of SEGA who right now doesn't know wtf it is doing with it's current IP's and Western Studios (sounds like Relic got to keep COH though)
@@perafilozof Out of 422 recent reviews COH 3 has a 66 so it seems it is going somewhere now but....... we will need to see with it's future updates. I will say being able to make your own choices and not have to follow a parent company that is "handholding" you all the time when they don't know what they are doing is very nice. SEGA is refusing to capitalizing on really old IP's which to me backs up my claims of them not knowing what they are doing because remakes of Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio and Golden Axe if done right, IS A GOLD MINE. Because of Age of Empires 4, Relic might actually be able to turn the ship around now since SEGA is no longer a factor

its really sad to see how a talented and passionate EX stracraft devs fail to create a game that speaks to an audience.. the art style they choose is a big turn off, as it fails to capture that dark and serious vibe behind the game .. everything looks "fun" fornite style tailored to attract kids mainly ... for games like this to prosper you need a serious vibe , a decent story long campaign where you invest in heroes, giving heroes meaning otherwise they are just another meaningless unit .. they never learned anything from starcraft i see .. this game will fail sadly
Hello and thanks for sharing your thoughts on this game and its looks. I think you are correct, but also that there is room to turn it around as visuals at least can be changed quickly and turn it into a more serious looking game.
@perafilozof hopefully they sort themselves out but I've lost faith in them like I did with CA the greed has got the better of them CA did a good job of getting players trust back but I don't feel relic will honestly the fact their are ingame store for silly things annoyed me and the whole battlegroups DLCs I find it a complete rip off if they want to do DLC why not do more factions instead of battlegroups for already existing factions they would make more money to help fund future projects.
@@NCG92 I totally get you, and any time money is asked after the original purchase it just leaves a bad taste behind. But for now I would like to see where this leads now that they are independent. It had to get worse before it could get better.

at one point, they said that they would allow a way for somebody to use their Warhammer total war dlcs together from different platforms, did they implement that at some point, or no?

You are correct. It is part of the reason a lot of people didn't like CoH3.
@ and AOE 4
Would have been fine if it was fantasy and not scifi
StarSim: BattleZone looks a bit like Earth 2140. This could be a hit with an actual team and resources.
Hi and thx for sharing your impression of it! I hope so, but seems to early to tell yet. What are you playing now?
Empire at War my beloved
Hehe, glad to see more fans of it on my channel! Favorite mods?
@ Awakening of the Rebellion is a favorite of mine, but Coreys team with Thrawns Revenge and Fall of the Republic are notable mentions. The Clone Wars is also a timeless classic and can’t go wrong with it. I’ve been through all the ins and outs of Empire at War modding in my 1600 hours over the last 10 years
Oh wow, you are quite a big fan then. That is great. Too few new players ever bother with the mods for this game and they really should
8:05 they definately captured the command and conquer music.
@@alukata9763 that was me using actual C&C music as I didn't have an example of this new game's music handy.

If you like mods that unify the two universes of Command and Conquer, definitely check out C&C Reloaded. It merges everything in the Red Alert 2 engine and it looks really nice. It also still gets updates!
It doesn't have subfactions though
Hi and thx for the recommendation! Going to put that on my to do list!
@@perafilozof There's so many banger C&C mods, a whole video could be made on them. For Open RA, I like Shattered Paradise and Romanov's Vengeance. :)
@@TheVoidOfWhatever I will mark that down for my to do list :)
the lack of coop rts games is painful.
That you are correct my friend. Too much focus on competitive multiplayer from bigger companies and too few Singleplayer campaigns from the smaller ones.
last time i played company of heros 3 germany wehrmacht faction had not as much troops and vehicles as COH 2 had.
Hi and thanks for sharing your thoughts on this game. CoH3 is a miss step in the franchise I hope they turn around.
@@perafilozof yeah i really hope. i like what you can do in it but they had also as much bad things in the game.
Yes. And by the looks of it they know it. But it is hard to turn this ship around at this stage. That is why I hope the make a great comeback with a totally new game
Bfme still good with mods: aotr, botta, edain. ❤
Thx for sharing your favorite mods!
No new updates for Tempest Rising?
Hi, the last update was about its release date and third faction: ruclips.net/video/FNG1fHnJXKw/видео.htmlsi=7rrWipgDhKdI0C0Q
what is the game at 0:03?
You probably mean the Combined Arms mod. It is shown later in the video, use the time stamps.
Hi and thx for sharing your thoughts on this mod and the OpenRA project. That is totally fine as there are so many other mods you can enjoy.
It's not true that Combined Arms is the only mod that combines Allies&Soviets with NOD&GDI + Scrin.
Ok, can you share the others with me?
@@perafilozof Of course, there are many, I will only list those, that are downloadable and surely I will forget some :D
OpenRA:
Tiberian Origins - it's quite old, they were the first to do Allies+Soviets+GDI+Nod in OpenRA.
Yuris Revenge (RA2):
C&C Reloaded - It is also very old, but still great today, probably one of the first to do that concept over all C&Cs. It has also new stuff, does a fantastic job to blend Tiberian Sun into RA2.
Tiberian Sun:
Dawn of the Tiberium Age - It is TD + RA1 in Tiberian Sun. It's impressive how much the Tiberian Sun engine can improve those old games. Probably closest to Combined Arms, which has better game play (due to being OpenRA also), but DTA has a unique look, Tiberian Sun engine has very good athmospheric lighting.
C&C Generals:
CnC All Stars - It's TD + RA2 in Generals, it looks quite clunky, but it works.
Invasion Confirmed - It is even clunkier, a bit chaotic/fun like Cameo and has RA1,2 and 3 as well as Nod+GDI.
C&C RA3:
Generals Evolution - Dunno if that counts, because it puts Generals into the RA3 engine, which is a good combo, because Generals has the better gameplay and RA3 engine is the better engine, but it has none of the classic C&C factions, so might not count here for this list?
Sweet green peon! That is a long list! Thank you very much for taking the trouble to write this out!
@@perafilozof It is an honor
And War Selection ?
Haven't been keeping an eye on that one lately, but I will take a look for a future video. Thank you for the recommendation
23:11 what is the downside of this sales method?
Reducing the number of people who are interested in making mods for your game, when you are already dealing with a small market and few people ever knowing of your game.
@@perafilozof sorry for asking twice, thought youtube bugged out on me
No problem.

You are quite welcome! Get ready for a fantastic 2025 !
Does the standalone launcher for battle for middle earth include the games? Or do you have to own them (I do on disk)
Also does it come with the zoom mod! Only reason I don’t play them is the stupid zoom level in game :(
Hi, yes, the launcher lets you download the games. The zoom in or zoom out?
@ the zoom out mod, it used to be a skirmish map you had to load up first then could zoom out further, didn’t work properly for campaign tho. Only reason I don’t play anymore is zoom out restrictions in it

i lost track of Relic after COH 3 released which was a crap show on steam. So they went independent now? If so then i hope they can get back on their feet because AoE 4 was actually really good and being free of SEGA who right now doesn't know wtf it is doing with it's current IP's and Western Studios (sounds like Relic got to keep COH though)
Yeah, this is their last shot if you ask me. Go in the right direction now or go home for them. I really hope they manage. Thank you for the comment
@@sdgamer1860 Huh, that is great investigative reporting there my friend. Thank you for the info ! I sure hope those developers can finally work in peace and produce great games!

relic is already dead
they will never get the respect back unless they make a new COH and let 3 just die
I wouldn't write them off just yet. But it certainly looks like their last chance. Thank you for the comment! What are you playing these days?
its really sad to see how a talented and passionate EX stracraft devs fail to create a game that speaks to an audience.. the art style they choose is a big turn off, as it fails to capture that dark and serious vibe behind the game .. everything looks "fun" fornite style tailored to attract kids mainly ...
for games like this to prosper you need a serious vibe , a decent story long campaign where you invest in heroes, giving heroes meaning otherwise they are just another meaningless unit ..
they never learned anything from starcraft i see .. this game will fail sadly
Hello and thanks for sharing your thoughts on this game and its looks. I think you are correct, but also that there is room to turn it around as visuals at least can be changed quickly and turn it into a more serious looking game.
Relic are really trying to lose their fanbase.
They are going though a transition period now. Lets wait and see what happens on the other side.
