I believe this house has loads of character. I woulda love to see the bedrooms thou. I don’t think the raised ranches are ugly maybe dated ones but to me that’s any home. Its all in the way you look at it. They are everywhere where I live. Great job. Beautiful choices and the custom built ins in the dining. Love that.
I am truly obsessed with any Ranch Homes from the 1970. it also makes me feel like I am home. we are in the process of looking for one right now in the reno area!
I love what you did with this house! The black railings look amazing, really makes the entrance gorgeous. Love the choices of cabinets, lighting in dining is amazing, as well as tall storage cabinets. I'd put a coffee bar in the middle, maybe decoration would be better, but love coffee 😊. Love any wood accents. Bathrooms done beautifully as well. Great job, especially from where it was!
I know this type of house as a "split entry" and my last house was much like yours. I know my current house as a "raised ranch." The main floor is at entry level but because the house is on a slope, the bottom/basement level is only half under ground. This allows us to have full windows and exterior doors down there. I love my raised ranch but I didn't love my split-level. Wrangling small children, groceries and a stroller on the entry landing was a nightmare. That said, you renovated yours very nicely!
Thank you! The tiny entry way with steps isn’t the most convenient for sure. It’s nice if you can have a separate entrance your family can use rather than the front entry. I appreciate your compliment!
Beautiful renovation! Love what you did to update the space. I had a little bit of a difficult time hearing you with the background music... but probably just my old ears!
I’m sorry, but whoever tiled all of the bathrooms did an absolute T R A S H job. It looks absolutely horrendous, and there will be water damage everywhere. If it looks that bad in a video, you know it’s much worse in person. Also, ungrouted, “luxury” vinyl tile in a bathroom is a NO go. More water damage. That will end up needing torn up, sub-floor replaced, and redone within 2 years. Spend a tiny bit extra for real tile, properly seal everything, and it’ll save the poor people who bought that house money, as well as you, because you replacing it with the crappy, un-grouted “tile”, it’s going to get torn up almost right away anyways. Therefore a complete waste of money on your part.
@@livinginspiredbymom5445 just being honest. You said it yourself, they're not pretty houses, the raised ranches. Can't make a silk purse from a does ear. As my mother always said.
@@katewade9992 I have to disagree. I think they did a great job. It's neutral, but clean and appealing. I owned one much like this for seven years and I didn't like the way it functioned but it doesn't mean it was inherently ugly.

You must be such a sweetheart. Have a nice day!
Still is an ugly house. No character.
Thanks Kate! That’s so kind of you.
