Hello there sweet friend! I have to apologize..i don't have a clue how i got so far behind on your videos!😦 I don't get to watch Utube as much as i want, and with all the hurricanes & power/wi-fi outages.. Anyways I'm so sorry! I think a lot of you, cherish our friendship & truly love to support your channel! I love Michelle, & her sister & sweet nephew Easton. They are a precious family! The top of the piano looks really pretty! I love the mantle, love the purple lights! The banner made with the vintage cards is super cute!😊 And I love that hutch, love the wire in the doors! I want an old hutch & take the glass out & use chicken wire! I have a small 3ft cabinet that has the chicken wire doors & i just love that look! As a child my mom didn't do any decorating for Halloween, being a single parent & my siblings were much older, she was out taking me thru neighborhoods to trick or treat. So no one was ever at home to give out candy. I remember just a couple of store bought costumes, with the old plastic mask. But the costumes i remember most, we made them from what we had. I never bought either if my kids costumes, i always made theirs from whatever we had in the house! I bought pieces or face paint, things like that, but they always looked so cute! We never did spooky & baby the time my son was old enough to trick or treat, we decided it was just safer to go to our church where they did a fall festival before dark with lots of games & food, bouncy houses, they got tons of candy playing the games! Then after dark cars would line the parking lot & we'd have trunk or treat.. he'd have so much candy he would put his bag in the car & start on a second one!😄 But I have to tell this one funny story, the only time i really remember more than bits & pieces of my childhood nights of truck or treating. I was a fat little farmer..i had on my cousins flannel & jean overalls that were too big. Mom stuffed pillows in the butt & tummy. I had cowboy boots with one leg tucked in, and an old bent up straw hat. My hair was in 2 braids & mom smeared some kind of black makeup on my face & hands just to make me look dirty. She took me & my 2 cousins out to trick or treat. But this is why I remember this so well.. we went up to a house inside a fenced in yard, knocked on the door & as the lady was giving us our candy her little chihuahua was growling & barking. We were off the porch going back to the car & the dog got out & here he come! My older cousin, a boy, jumped the fence & left us, i couldn't run with all those pillows but i was trying & screaming! My younger cousin was right behind me & we bout tore the gate door off! Her husband had came out & grabbed the dog but he was still barking so wildly we thought he was on our heels!😂 i lost my hat & my mom made my older cousin go get it because he left us..i just wanted to go home! I hated chihuahuas for a long time after that!😂 I just love you kitchen, its so pretty, love the cabinetry. You decorated it so cute! I want one of those tea towel ladders, so cute! Love all your cute, friendly ghost.. reminds me of"Casper the Friendly Ghost" That was actually one of the few store bought costumes i had as a child! I remember that one & i think snow white was one of them. The apron is so cute!😊 I think the cookies were a hit return Finn!🐶 Dawn I think your decor looks really nice & tastefully done & yes its super cute!😊 I don't personally decorate for halloween & we take the kids to church festivals instead of trick or treating. They don't wear spooky costumes like witches or vampires. But I like seeing others decor! Just like I don't decorate with really nice modern things, but i can appreciate the beauty of anyone's home & decor styles, i'm no snob to any of it!🤷♀️ I've enjoyed the video & sharing the memories.
