- Journey from Omkareshwar Road to Mhow through the beautiful Choral Valley in one of the last remaining Meter gauge trains in India.
This video was shot in December 2016, when the line was opened from Akola to Mhow via Khandwa. Currently the Section from Akola-Khandwa to Sanawad is closed for gauge conversion and only the Sanawad-Mhow section is operational.

Nostalgic , old memories cherished. Have travelled on this route from 1977 to 2006.
Beautiful. I have travelled in Meter gauge when I was a kid. I have travelled inside the locomotive as many of my relatives were in railways. Travelled in loco from Arisikere to Sakleshpura

I had the privilege to travel in this line Twice from Indore to Khandwa, specially liked the Omkareswar section so much !!!

Understand this line originally used to connect Chitorgar (Rajastan) to Hydrabad (Telangana). What a Life !!!

I travall in 2002 from Khandwa to ujjain in first time that train in August rainy season, amazing jurny. Miss a lot of that time.

The 59 km Mhow-Omkareshwar section with a 2-hour journey would have been a magnificent railway for tourism. The scenery crossed rivals the famous tourist railways around the world.He is in the process of converting MG to BG. Has it been preserved as a living heritage? He deserves it. Thank you for this beautiful video.

I request Railway ministar to Reshe dual this 19301/19302 via Fatehabad ujjain so that no need of changing Power (Loco] direction and timing will be saved or This train can be Run through Dewas Maximum

This is segment is closed from wef 1.1.2016 i wish this track is restored on the lines of palace on wheels in colaboration with irctc Railways and forest department

The Line is closed now from Akola till Omkareshwar for guage convertion. You need to go by bus or via Bhusawal by train

जबतक महू- सनावद बङी लाईन शुरू नही होती है तब तक मीटर गेज ही चले तो क्षैत्र कि जनता को फायदा मिलेगा । इंजिन + कोच व स्टाफ भी है । सनावद से मिथिला जोङ् थै तो बङी लाईन से जुङ् जायेंगे। रतलाम मंडल चाहे तो सब कुछ कर सकता है।
