In this video, I'll share with my language learning history and how I started learning languages, and how I developed my method through many experiments and a long process of trial and error.
Also, I explain how I started my blog and what compelled me to create the master class on how to learn any language.
Then, I emphasize the difference between studying and learning a language because ultimately, language is an ability you acquire not a subject to study.
The languages I speak in this video are English, Spanish, German, Russian, Chinese, and Italian.

Learning a language means passion, practice, discipline, patience, curiosity, interest, method and also travelling, discover, mistakes, humbleness, etc.
I agree with who says that isn't a question of IQ or just talent and all. You just have to want it, and also when we would like to get or do something, it doesn't mean that we gonna get it necessarily or necessarily well. Only who has a real passion about something can do or get that thing well without get bored. I did the same with a couple of languages and all the people around me says that I'm a talented person. I often reply them that anyone is able to do the same and why not better then me, 'cause I'm a normal person with a normal brain and also I'm still learning and I'll never stop to do that :) Complimenti Luca per la passione che hai e la spinta che dai agli altri, soprattutto in termini di autostima.

@J C T yeah, that is the point here, I saw some american guy in a video speaking egyptian Arabic after only three months, his pronunciation was amazing according to many egyptians, and he simply said he could not speak the language yet, but he practiced pronunciation and intonation to perfection with the help of a native instructor and read the text they prepared together from a prompter. That proves the point, I don't say Luca is a phony polyglot and whatnot, he does speak some of these foreign languages for sure because he appears in other videos conversing with people, but it is relatively easy to speak with very good accent in a video if you know how to do it, all it takes is a few months of practice and a good instructor

Yes, I agree that is difficult. I moved to France at the age of 2 so I speak like a native but I forgot a lot. Now I live in the US and I was 11 when I got here so I speak like a native as well and that’s it. I also speak Spanish and quite fluently but natives know I’m a foreign learner.

Around 0:50, in Spanish he said "pero" which is a very similar but ultimately false cognate; in Italian it would mean "however," but in Spanish simply means "but" (Italian "ma") In Spanish we would say "sin embargo," but otherwise his Spanish where I've heard it elsewhere is very, very impressive to me as a native speaker, especially his accent from Spain. This is only the second mistake I've heard of his Spanish (the other being him saying "con ti" instead of "contigo" in one interview). I can't speak Italian nearly as well as he does Spanish, but these videos inspire one to try as much as one can. Keep up the good work Luca! Greetings from the U.S.

And I remembered a video I saw maybe a year ago (I don't know) where you get a sentence and just change one word at a time. I have been learning Greek for the last 2 months nonstop. I skipped only 2 days when I took a trip to Perugia. I wake up at 6 A.M in order to learn Greek for one hour. I am simply in love with this language. And thanks for the nice words! =)

Luca Lampariello Hi Luca I’m glad to hear that. I’m sure you’d be better at Greek than me. I can understand Greek more through reading, writing and songs. I’ve read the Bible and being in the Greek congregation for years. But one thing I struggle with is colloquial conversations. I have good days where my mind is well set on Greek words. The Greeks I meet in London are always stunned when I speak in their language. Then there are days that I’m among friends in a party and I feel so intimidated as they speak fast paced colloquial Greek around me.

Very nice video. I also agree on many tips which have been said. Being a Polyglot myself speaking 6 languages, I also try adapting my lifestyle towards Languages. I tend to choose a Language as the main target language everyday but still being flexible to practice and speak the others according to the situation. In case you would like to have a look at my multilingual channel where I speak about different topics in 6 languages, please have a look at it. Thanks a lot and congrats again for your channel.

Luca me impresiona aun mas porque el tipo es italiano. No es facil obtener una buena pronunciacion como la de el en otros idiomas teniendo el acento italiano que es re contra fuerte.

Согласна. Русский на очень высоком уровне. Слегка слышен в некоторых словах акцен, но в большинстве слов просто идеально!!! Как это возможно?! Просто невероятно!😱

Luca I know you can help me decided !! Je ne sais pas quelle langue est meilleur...más útil , o más necesaria de estudiar , il tedesco o il Portuguese? Io sono indeciso ...mi piace come suona il Portuguese , pero creo que el alemán es muy interesante y más útil... Que piensas ? Que me recomiendas ?

Your Spanish is amazing! You just did a small mistake: "He oído decirles" should have been "Les he oído decir." Given the the indirect object pronoun is from the action of hearing, not saying. Aside from that, I'm truly amazed at your pronunciation, congratulations!

In case Spanish learners are wondering, I think there's a little mistake in the Spanish section when he says "he escuchado decirles". I think he means "les he escuchado decir".
