    Good to see you back again Andrew and Lisa, I remember going to Palm valley back in the eighties and there was nothing there but a Bumby track. Don't forget Andrew when your married everything is your fault.😂😂

      Hi Michael, yes I'm well practiced in accepting responsibility for all evil.
      Sounds like Palm Valley has certainly matured, It is a top spot with great facilities, but still has that remote charm you look for, we loved it.
      Cheers Andrew

    Are the Walking poles worth having for us MATURE walkers?

    • @TerraRoundOz
      @TerraRoundOz  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Accolades70, Yes the walking poles are fantastic, we never hike without them. They help take the pressure off your knees especially coming down hill and give you that extra bit of support on uneven ground. Highly recommend walking with one.
      Cheers Andrew & Lisa

Natiional park the rock the red centre mataranka katherine katherine gorge cruise kakadu a place called jabriu have you heard of it then final stop over is darwin the group is staying at hotels resorts apartments i have never be to the northern territory most of these places i have never be heard of any tips can you give me i have a good pair of walking shoes can i get a hat with corks to keep the flys away is it freezing at night hot during the day any tips you guys can give me it cost me a pretty penny àn expensive trip

      Hi Desmond, wow sounds like an amazing trip, you sure are covering a lot of ground and all the top spots. In August the flys should not be too bad, but I would definitely get a fly head net just in case, you can get them on line or any camping shop ( in Australia anyway).
      Regarding the walking poles, yes, definitely take one, they make the hikes so much easier.
      Good sturdy hiking shoes and quality socks are a must, you will live in them.
      The centre of Australia does get very cold at night but warms up after 8am, a good puffer jacket is great, light and easy to scrunch up and pack away. A light wide brim hat is a good take as well.
      It is very different country to what you are use to, dry and dusty but beautiful in its own way.
      Have a fantastic time.
      Cheers Andrew & Lisa

      Hi David, As I said in the vid, we don't mind paying when there are facilities of some sort and they don't have to be too flash, but when you get nothing and are paying over and above the NT Park Pass, well, then I question the value you get for your $$.
      Cheers Andrew
