Ya know what I love about this series? You can so clearly tell how excited Toby was to do this and share it with us. The designs are clean, the story is great, and Toby's love for what he's doing and excitement to give it to us and spread his joy to the community just shows through it all. His positivity really is infectious, and I can't help but appreciate him for that.

I'm afraid Gululabi will turn into something not that adorable after evolution, because gulabi goat (the breed of goat Gululabi based on) goes through... ehm... some radical metamorphosis when it grow up

Atherin City feels like combo of Athens and Rome! I also love how many fanmade Pokemon can be found here. And the in%universe justification makes total sense!

Phew, that was a tense encounter in the city! Good thing I got all my Pokémon catching needs out of the way beforehand. On the way here, I found a wild Gululabi staring at me from an almost vertical cliff, she seemed to call to me in some unspoken, mystical way, and almost jumped into the luxury ball I threw. I've always loved goats (Gogoat being my favourite gen 6 mon), so Gululabi will make a fabulous addition to my team, I'll name her Capra (Latin for "She-goat").

I caught a new Gululabi and named it Oream, from "Oreamnos americanus", not sure if it will stay on the team but it's a cool addition for now! I also caught a Honedge! It isn't on my team for now, but I'll certainly add it on once I find out it's evolution, I've always loved it's line. Druidigoyle has been added to replace my Cyrock Tyson as well (sorry Tyson).

It took me an embarrassingly long time to realize that the gym leaders, elite 4, and champion are all based on Greek gods…
Its that time again !!! The champion gives off real Zeus vibes... I LOVE IT !!!!!! (Lockstin?) My team so far Iguanagoon, Kaskadian Yanma, Cyrocks, Corvidie, Go-Gopher and Gululabi {Obviously I have been filling my dex as much as possible}
Aria has a really nice design and has a great intro for the gym leader, Cass having a straight forward goal is refreshing and Odias' laugh is highly contagious.

As I looked across Atheran City, Taurus and Cerbie spot a Kaskadian Yanma perched on a small column. My eyes lit up the moment I see the Kaskadian variant. I had been closely following the research of the Professors of Kaskade and dreamed of one day traveling through the region. I even had a dream team that I would travel with, and a Kaskadian Yanma was one of those Pokemon. I caught it with ease and welcomed little Critical to the team.

Honestly, I'm waiting until I've seen all of the Pokemon available in Solympia before I decide on a team.
Loved it! This episode makes it difficult for me to choose only one pokemon for my team! Also, the jokes were so bad I inmediately noticed it was Locksting & Gnoggin talking there! Haha loved it.

Below will be some of my thoughts on this video and the fakemon featured within it.
1:33 AWW! So cute! I also like that Gululabi is a Fairy/Ground type, which is a type combination that we have yet to see in official games as of this video's posting. It's nice to see a Pokémon other than Xerneas with the Fairy Aura ability. This kid of a goat appears to be a mixed attacker. I'm definitely using one of these. I'm curious to see whether or not it evolves further.
-I'll also catch a Ponyta in case it evolves into a fakemon inspired by Pegasus, as well as Abra and especially Impidimp & Honedge.
2:04 Oh! Qayagus! The foot snail fakemon from Lockstin's Kaskade region! I think I would consider catching this Psychic/Poison type.
2:58 Druidigoyle looks good. Nice to see another Rock/Dragon type. Although, I'm confused as to whether it's a regional evolution of Druddigon or a regional variant based on what you said in this video. Still, with the regular ability Rough Skin and Rock Head as its hidden ability, I'd definitely catch one.
-The Pokecropolis sounds like a fun battle area.
4:45 Aww! This Fairy type wolf cub fakemon is cute. I'd consider using one.
4:57 Ooh! So Zlumber is the evolved form of Snoze, I think it was called. Definitely a slow physical attacker with high Special Defense. This fakemon line looks promising.

6:38 Ooh! The Bug/Dragon-type Kaskadian Yanma! I'll definitely catch one.
7:02 Clownine. Nice play on words. Reminds me a bit of Ash-Greninja with the red on its face and a smidge of Zoroark & Lucario in terms of its canine body. I like that it's a Psychic/Fire type like Delphox. I'd consider using this.
-My only wish was that fakemon from the fan-made regions of other channels had their stats, abilities, and Dex entries visible in the video like the rest of the new fakemon.

Gululabi and Yanama are going on the team! Houndour, Pikachu, Iguanagoon, and Corvidie are on the team. Going to have to look for a Thunder Stone. This upcoming fairy battle has me nervous, I have two Pokémon weak to fairies and none strong against them. Hopefully one of my Pokémon can learn a steel type or poison move.

While traveling through Route 4, I caught my 4th teammate. A Gululabi! I think I'll name her "Gwen". Onwards to Atherin! With Gwen, we have no issue taking down the Druidigoyle. The Team Snooze battle is a little tough this time but we get the victory. It is very cool to see wild pokemon in the city. The champion looks so cool! You better watch out, because I'm coming for you! Aria seems pretty cool too. I'll have to think about what to do with our battle tomorrow since she has a good type again half my team.

Lockstin?!?! As Odias! I can't believe you got all of these voice actors.
While my sense of direction tends to be bad, it wasn't hard to see the lights from the city, even from so far away. Wandering through the routes, bumping into a few strange creatures. I was low on pokeballs, but I had a few dusk balls still from that meeting with that strange man. A quick battle and two dusk balls thrown, a Honedge was obtained. Butchers the Honedge was sent to the PC and I quickly continued onward. When I got to the city, it was a bit darker. More people had gone to bed, but there were still several people out enjoying the night. I looked around and took a breath. My eyes facing the sky, I thought I had seen something. I shook my head, thinking it was just tiredness, and continued. A sudden and loud thud rang out from behind me, which I ignored. Turning a corner, I saw a dark figure rush from behind and slam into a building nearby. I was confused, but shrugged and continued. Finding the colosseum wasn't difficult, the entire city almost seemed built around it. Getting to it, however, was a different task. I was going to walk on by some people when I realized who they were. I didn't exactly want to disturb them, but they seemed to recognize me.
"Hey, it's nobody!" A conversation began, and they threw out their pokeballs. I was expecting them to not really be extremely tough, but the Snorlax they sent out was quite a surprise. Well, surprise in some ways, I didn't expect them to have such a strong Pokémon. Thematically it actually makes sense. However, one thing about Snorlax is it isn't the fastest tub of lard. I'm also certain that Team Snooze don't actually work on their Pokémon's speed much, so defeating them was pretty easy. My Pokémon ran circles around theirs, literally. Then the guy team snooze grunt explained how the city used to be bigger, and that it was a world hub for Pokémon trainers. I did know this, though. I wouldn't be much of a champion if I went in 100% blind, after all. Still, there wasn't a ton of info on Solympia, so any piece of info I learn and can confirm to be true is helpful.
"You know, I'm not against an amusement park for people and Pokémon. Honestly I kind of like the idea of a large park where you can let your Pokémon on rides, with rides for various sizes and weights of Pokémon. What I don't like is the idea of you turning this entire region into an amusement park. There's a lot here that should be preserved, and I don't think the people of this land would be happy about it."
"Yeah? I'm surprised, nobody. I didn't expect you to be so supportive. But we're still gonna make that amusement park, and we need all the land we can get for it! Anyway, we'll see you again, sometime." So we parted on oddly friendly terms, not how I expected, but how I preferred. Any friend I make from an enemy is one less enemy I have to deal with. Not that I make enemies often, but if I had a nickel for every enemy that wanted me "beaten to the ground" through any means necessary including murder by sun focused laser beam, I'd have 1 nickel. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened at all. Why do some villains think a slow moving laser is a good killing method? I guess they wanted to imitate the movies.
As I was lost in thought, slowly moving towards the colosseum, I heard a loud thud behind me. I glanced a bit over that direction but really didn't pay it any mind. I found my way to the big building ahead. I wasn't until I heard a deep growl very close behind me did I turn around. About 3 inches from my face was a strange dark golem/gargoyle like monster. It reminded me of Druddigon. It breathed in my face, clearly not happy about something.
"Can I help you?" I asked. It took a sudden swipe at me, which launched me back a few feet. I landed with a thud. Dazed for a few seconds, I struggled and failed to stand up. I threw out a random pokeball, and Potatoes popped out. My starter was a bit confused at first, but saw me on the ground, the angry gargoyle creature in front of it, and figured out what happened quick. My brave Potatoes growled in anger, and it didn't take long before we managed to knock it out. I heard a bit of whispering about my abilities before a sudden flash of light filled my eyes. I covered my eyes, blinded for a moment before blinking and seeing two people standing in front of me.
"That was a fine battle! You truly are a champion for a reason." Boomed the man, wearing dark colored clothing, and sporting an amazing looking beard. The other was a woman with a huge pink ponytail, and wearing what looked like a green sash. The two of them introduced themselves. The beard guy was Champion Odias and the ponytailed sash wearer was Gym Leader Aria. Something the champion said bothered me, though.
"The decisions that the people, I mean Pokémon, don't understand." A truly great Pokémon trainer doesn't need to outright explain things to their Pokémon, they'll understand and trust you to do what's best. The people part was just weird. Sure, I have quite a bit of influence on the people of my region, but that doesn't make me a decision maker. Quite the opposite in fact. I know how much power I hold, so I use my influence to ask for and make changes that the people want and need, rather than making any decisions outright. I've helped build a well in a small town because they needed a well. I've helped build and fix roads because the people needed them. I always have done things that others ask. Well, I do know anyway. I wasn't always an upstanding citizen. I leave most major decisions for others to decide and focus on helping people. Most champions are like this, but this slip of the tongue seemed to indicate the opposite for him. Hopefully it was just a random mistake, though. The champion bid me farewell, and was gone in a flash of light. It was then squid girl ran up, clearly wanting to talk to the champion. She had a conversation with aria, calling me "little champ". How old does she think I am? Not only that, I was taller than her by a decent amount. I let this slide, because there was something I needed to tell her.
"You remind me of someone I knew. A trainer, though he had quite a few flaws that he hadn't worked out then."
"Really? Were they strong?"
"Champion material, the strongest trainer I've known. But he was arrogant and blind to everything else. He thought himself the greatest and only wanted to get stronger and be the best that ever was, and better than anyone who would ever be. He was so blind that he never realized what he was doing to his Pokémon until it was too late. That blind arrogance is what led to his downfall, and why I became better than him. A better trainer, and a better man."
"If he lost to you, then he couldn't have been that good. I'll surpass him when I beat you."
"You don't get it, do you? That person was me." This seemed to shock Cass, and Aria seemed surprised as well.
"I was arrogant, strong, and I believed no one could best me. But I was overconfident. My Pokémon... They-" my voice cracked here. I closed my eyes and loudly cleared my throat. I quickly shook my head for a second before opening my eyes. The two of them seemed somewhat more surprised than before.
"I made mistakes. I thought I could do everything, and be the greatest at anything," I said, "because of that I neglected my Pokémon, and they paid the price for my stupidity. Please, don't go down the same path I did."
"What else is there besides growing stronger? You're just too weak, and so were your Pokémon." She laughed.
"And you're an *idiot*!" I growled back. Aria had to step between us before I did something bad. If Aria hadn't done that, well... Squid Girl was lucky, I'll say that much.
"If they were his Pokémon, then they certainly weren't weak, he is a champion after all." Aria stated.
She gave a "Humph," and let off a condescending smile as she began to walk away. I needed a night's rest to clear my head from this event. Tomorrow I was facing another gym leader, and I didn't want to fall asleep in the middle of it this time.

Loving this series
Tempest log 7: I Blinked! The druidigoyle was crafty and not an easy foe, iguanagoon was the safest bet to face it head on, it became apparent that I have no real counter to druidigoyle, I had to counter it with a cunning plan of my own.
Iguanagoon was the best Pokémon to face it head on, so it was used to distract druidigoyle to lower its guard for the later phases. Foulraptor and salavite manage to sneak to either side of druidigoyle and use their skills to partially immobilise and blind it. Having druidigoyle distracted and given iguanagoon a better chance for survival from foulraptor and salavite made it possible to craft a trap from temphin’s makeshift legs that would wear out the druidigoyle without putting me or temphin at risk.
After iguanagoon managed to deal the final attack on druidigoyle, it was beaten, though not without its sacrifices, temphin’s legs will be missed.
Some time later I encounter a gululabi and was baffled by how druidigoyle couldn’t even touch it. It was the perfect counter for another ordeal like this and would be a great team member…
Yet it ran away

While traveling through Route 4, I train my team and capture a Honedge for my team. I then face a regional Drudegon and easily beat it, and come across Team Snooze. After beating them, I come across Aria the gym leader and the region’s champion, Odias.

As I am on my way there, I catch a honedge, and while exploring,I catch both yanma and pupuff, placing honedge on my team.
I really like Aria's voice for some reason, I'm not sure why, can't wait to battle her. It's very strange that we can catch pokemon in the town, but I'm defently not complaning.

As I leave the forrest I capture a few new pokemon before making my way to Atherin City where I'm attacked by a Druidigoyle but Blues manages to take it down with a little luck, skill and type advantage. I soon notice the two Snooze grunts and we battle with an overwhelming victory (though they have gotten better and I greatly look forward to when Snug evolves into Zlumber). As I walked through the city I caught a few new pokemon that I couldn't help but consider adding to the team and after a little rearranging I add Bastion the Druidigoyle to the team.
I wander through the citiy until I come across Aria and Odias and after chatting for a bit with the two of them before Odias flys off... somehow. Cass showes up and once again declaring herself to become the next champ as I quietly roll my eyes as Aria mentions her plan of filling the stadium with a lively battle making me smile with anticipation for our match.

After going through the Elderwoods Forest, I got to the next route and caught some Pokémon for later. The next city was HUGE. Unfortunately, a Drudigoyle attacked me and I wasn’t able to catch it, but I managed to beat it after a tough battle. I met those Team Snooze people again. I managed to beat them pretty easily with Weird-Eyed. I met the Gym Leader of the city and the champion too! Unfortunately, Cass caught up with me and I encountered her again.
Pretty sure Gululabi has one of the best competitive types, So I caught one and a Honedge that I was gonna not evolve until you said they have a regional form
Oh man I hope that you guys eventually make regional forms of each other’s fakemon.
Finally stumbling upon the goat she say early on her adventure, Valentine was quick to catch a Gululabi for herself-and having never been to the Kascade region, decided to snag one of the varients of Yanma as well. By now her team is overflowing a bit, so she's boxed Snoze for now. She's hoping to get an idea of what which fairy-type pokemon to raise from the local gym leader, who seems pretty popular with the girls, if the locals and Cass are any indication. She's pretty surprised to see a Druddigon this early on into her adventure, but decides against picking one up.

In the path leading into the city, I catch an extra small Gululabi which I name Torin and end up keeping in the pc for now, but I do add one new Pokémon to my team: a female Honedge who I give the name Cali. Cali replaces Spike, who is slightly overleveled after soloing the gym, and Cali immediately becomes best friends with Arthur. Norman is still training much harder than before, and seems to be on the very brink of evolving.
Wow, so many Pokemon from other regions! How many will there be by the end of it? I can't wait to see how many new friends I'll make! And especially any potential new friends I'll be facing off against when I take on Aria~!

Lisa, Former Champion of the Kalos Region
(Gululabi is a welcome addition to the roster, as Lisa is always excited to pick up a new fairy Pokemon. Perhaps if she leaves this island before the next Tempest she could be a Fairy Gym Leader in some other region! Quayagus makes her do a double take, as she actually went to the Kaskade Region for a holiday and knows some of the mons. Heading into town she did not expect to be attacked by a Drudigoyle and almost fainted, had it not been for her newest Team Member's help. Team Snooze actually helped her up before challenging her to a battle, how kind of them! Running around town was nice, especially as she gained more team members. It was a nice break before she got back down to business and looking for the local Champion. Though she didn't have far to look, as apparently he was already watching her! Odias and Aria give her really weird vibes, but she's happy to talk to them and learn more about the other Gym Leaders and Elite 4 members. Hearing Aria is a Fairy expert makes her very excited to face off against her!)

(Fairy/Ground)Gululabi (F; Twilight) Was unintentionally leading a herd of Ponyta around, attracting Lisa to her. Very smart, perhaps too smart for her own good. She switches out with Philotes while she's still a bit too young for battles

Travel Log: Entry 7
Making my way to Atheron City through route 4, I encounter a few new pokèmon. However, I ended adding a pokèmon I am familiar with; Honedge. My pokèdex suggests that it has an alternative evolution so my curiosity is peaked for sure. Upon getting near the city itself however, what I thought was a statue moved and attacked me! Looked like a Druddigon but my pokèdex said it was a Druidigoyle. Ended up catching it as well.
Confronting Team Snooze yet again led to another battle. They've evolved a few of their pokèmon but all the same, were defeated. Crash did lend me some insight on the history of Atheron city though, so that was a pleasant surprise. Tourists in general seem to flock to this area, resulting in plenty of pokèmon being present here that are native to other regions. Potentially other places to explore for sure.
Making it into the city, I ended up meeting Aria, the Fairy type gym leader, and Odias, the Soympia Region Champion. Seems Aria has aspirations of joining the Elite Four, and Odias seems like a very well spoken man. I can tell he has incredible skill as a trainer. If I have an opportunity to battle him later, I know it will be incredibly hard fought.
Cass made an entrance as well. Claiming how she would become the champion of this region. I don't doubt that she has the potential. She is talented for sure. I just hope she grows out of her close minded nature and let goes of her pointless disdain for foreigners. Truthfully, I just don't like being called Stormer. I have a name after all. Come tomorrow, I have gym battle though. Time to get a third coin!

On the route 4 catch a wild Gululabi. Due to the combination of ground typing and the fact I encountered him on the cliff edge, I decide to name him Neptune, after the god of the sea, earthquakes and horses. In Roman mythology, Neptun is also Ceres and Vesta’s sibling. As I explain the name to him, he gives me a funny look, so I say “Goats are close enough to a horse” and shrug. He thinks for a bit and agrees with me.
By the time we get off route 4, Neptune ends up really getting along with both Ceres and Gaia and the two decide to ditch me and use him as a ride. It’s been a while since Mala sat on my head, so she decided to use this opportunity and make me carry her. I have no way of saying no to her, so my arms are full once more.
Mala is also the one that pecks me when I act like a derp and say “And then I noticed she was a gargoyle” when we’re faced with Duridigoyle. After she deals with me, she quickly disposes of the Duridigoyle before prancing around enjoying the attention the easy win got her.
While Mala is busy being praised by people around us, Celes & co kick some Team Snooze butts and join Mala in the art of bragging. They didn’t even notice Aria or Odias before Odias’ Thundara scared Mala. Vesta quickly jumps into overprotective mode while Gaia decides Cass is a Friend.

[So much Pokemon to catch! But unfortuantely I only caught 1 extra Pokemon because I didn't want collect too much pokemon and at least have a fairly diverse Line-up. The Pokemon I did caught was a Qayagus because I wanted a Psychic Type Pokemon (even though Pikachu could turn into one, I would like to have a Psychic type now just in case), it's also Poison which is another Pokemon Type I need since my Hyphopper isn't a Bug Poison anymore. I was also surprised to see Dragon Type Pokemon this early (and from another Region). I'm also really looking forward to battling the Fairy Type Gym Leader and seeing what Fairy Type Pokemon she has.]

Funny coincidence that Qayagus and Yanmage were already on my Kaskadian team as they're 2 of my favorites from the region. Hopefully I can find a Glashulimp soon. Anyway, UPDATED TEAM!

I wander around the city, catching a Puppuff and somehow Druidigoyle (Spar).
Cyrocks gets swapped for Spar and Puppuff (Whirlwind) becomes my final member.

My team is a bit of a toss up as Im still building it: Heronin, Merryon, Go-gopher, Snoze, and Corvidie in party. Aerodent, Serasurf, and Togepi regularly being switched into party. Found Gululabi: yet another fairy type but at least this one doesnt overlap and its so pretty so yet another add to team and switch around. Boxed Snoze.

Finning forest:
i made a trip to the Finning forest where i find quite a few different members. Gululabi, Abra, Honedge, and Qayagus. I sent Senasurf and Salavite to the box to add Honedge and Qayagus and in the prosses, my Munchlax has evolved into a mighty Snorlax. My team is getting more powerful by the day.
Athron City's gates:
As I make my way to town I was attacked by a Solympian Druidigoyle the dragon stands before me as if its a golem guarding the gate. I send out Brazian and challenged it. A few ground type moves later it falls in defeat. after doing so i end up running into team snooze again. I began to think there isn't really much of a "Team" of them as i met the same two 3 times in a row now. to hide embarrassment they challenged me to a battle. They gone with Slakoff and Snorlax as i go with Brazian and a Snorlax of my own. as the Snorlaxes duke it out Brazian came for support. making her Snorlax fall quicker then mine, she then sends out Pupuff. Slakoff remain as a none threat so I thought taking one out completely would be the smarter play, thus Pupuff falls next her partner didn't like I'm taking advantage of his Slakoff so he continued the 2v2 by himself by sending out Zlumber. I did swap Brazian for Honedge as the damage is beginning to stack up. but I still land victorious.
Meeting the Champion:
after Team Snooze advise me to go to a pokemon center and heal up i decided to do just that and properly organize my team but as i entered Athron City i came face to face to the other champion and at the same time, the gym leader Aria. Aria planned to become a new elite member and maybe beat Odias the champion of Solympian, as Odias takes a leave. Cass came just too late to meet him and began fangirling over Aria. and pointed out her dream to become champion.

Oh so very much adding Gululabi to my team. I’ll still level up Snebble, to see what it evolves into, but I’m a sucker for this thing. I’ll also add Qayagus because omg yes snail!!

with a new town, there's so many new additions to my team! i wonder what i'll see as i explore more of solympia. what pokemon will the next gym have? it's exciting just thinking about it! i've never seen a region like this before

Ah, finally some new pokemon. Nothing more for the main team still, yet we can bring in the odd extra for training and keeping up the pokedex, no? Also, with so many new pokemon introduced, well now, there's just plenty to capture. It's soo good to see so many.
