  • In the year 2008, Jodi Arias killed her former boyfriend Travis Alexander. She later became famous for her delusional lies, strange behaviour in court, and bizarre acts on police CCTV and TV interviews. Travis' friends would refer to her as his "crazy ex girlfriend"... but they never anticipated the lengths that she would take to get what she wanted.

    I won't say there are no exceptions, but to my experience, most of the time when there is a "no strings attached" relationship, it's because one partner doesn't want to be tied to the other, and the other is playing along, thinking they can eventually swing it back around.

      Except....victims stories are inherently uninteresting -- and generally all the same: they didn't realize a danger, and then got killed by it. Furthermore, one reason people could be interested in such murders is the hope to AVOID being a victim themselves -- and information regarding that is better found in understanding the murderers, and what they might be like, and why and how they did what they did. I know it's "politically correct" to pay lip-service to "the victims," but, like most things politically correct, it's a stupid and useless perspective.

    Three years ago my close friend started hearing strange sounds in the little storage shed in his back yard. He had recently broke up with a super possessive/jealous girlfriend. He said this happened two nights in a row and at first thought it was an animal like a raccoon or skunk. He was getting into his car one morning and realized he forgot his keys on the kitchen counter. When he went back in he happened to look out the patio doors to his backyard and saw someone slip out of the shed and sneak out the back gate. To his utter disbelief it was his ex. He went into the shed and found a cooler with food, sleeping bag on a fold out lawn chair and a bag with a stun gun and a kitchen knife. He called the cops and had her charged with trespassing as well as getting a restraining order. I don't know if she was really going to do something horrible to him but it certainly looked that way.

      That is the definition of a psychopathic sociopath narcissist. My ex wife was/is along parallel tracks to that. The amount of emotional abuse and manipulation marriage and into divorce is truly psychotic , she’d 109% convinced me the divorce was going to be my fault, thst she’s an Angel , never done anything wrong , threatens me to accept divorce decree items that are so insane , told me she loved me and could never be with another man (jsut before divorce was finalized) and the whole year separated kept me on the hook then day after divorce changes Facebook status to in a serious relationship with what my sister said was a picture of them on a tropical beach. That week she moved in with him and moved my daughters into a. Strangers home. Everything surely became SO clear to me! Has always felt strange that she chose to leave and destroy our family but still continues to stalk my life to find out when I’m talking to someone or dating someone and has multiple times now sent messages of insane bull shit to these girls. Doesn’t want me to move on which I don’t understand how you can end a relationship and then not want them to move on? Want to destroy every ounce of their mind and soul and worst of all illegally keep my daughters from me on my days and then tell them I don’t want to see them and just stopped calling them one day when she text she wouldn’t put another call thru. Letting my angels feel abandoned by me , causing them EMotional damage that will take decades to get though . I’m taking her to court and the truth is all comming out. Not sure how she got to to such a level to buy into all her BS so deeply but was life changing to be able to clearly see it and be 100% greatful thst that human being is not my wife anymore. It’s amazing how much damage and manipulating some people not only can do but feel justified when there’s no actual reason.

    Plainly, she was obsessed with him and could not tolerate the idea of him being with another woman. What Adrian didn't mention was that Travis was seeing another woman a few weeks before his murder, though it wasn't clear for how long. Naturally, Jodi being the obsessed ex girlfriend, she wasn't going to stop coming over unannounced. I believe Travis was preparing to go on a business trip, and when Jodi found out he wasn't taking her as his +1, she did what she did in true "if I can't have you, no one can" style. And Jodi thought no one was watching her act all crazy with her singing and random yoga. Might have been a good coping mechanism for her, but ... yeah, not the place for it sweetie.

      Travis was planning on going on a trip to Cancun, Mexico. All expenses paid for by his employer and allowed him to take someone as his plus one. Jodi hoped that Travis would invite her on the trip; but she found out that Travis was instead taking his new girlfriend Mimi Hall. It would be safe to say that Jodi was absolutely heartbroken and even safer to say that she was thoroughly enraged.

    2:50 The "no strings attached" kind of relationship was one party taking advantage of the psychological fragility of another. People are quite capable of making themselves believe they are in a relationship when they are not. This is something the other party should be vary of.

    • @piippiz
      @piippiz 2 года назад +2

      I broke up with my ex because we both felt bad in the relationship. I wanted to continue as just friends. It was her idea, to be "friends with benefits". I thought maybe it could go on for a few months if it was easier to slowly drift apart then. WRONG.
      I felt better quite soon, after her unrealistic expectations were dropped and she stopped bugging me. for a while.
      Half a year went by, we had an agreement that if either of us find someone, we'd just tell each other. (and quit being friends with benefits)
      I found someone, and I now had to find opportunity to tell her. She messaged me 4 days later, she was asking me to buy some 300€ perfume, just like she would do back when we were in a relationship. I told her I'm not her credit card, and afterwards I told her I found someone. She flipped and accused me of cheating. I told her there had not been any sex yet, and she claimed that I fucked their eyes out. Then she sent a picture of over 20 bloody cuts across an arm and dared me to call an ambulance. Of course I did, and right after blocked her number.
      The very next day, she stalked me and when I was all alone, she rang the doorbell 2000 times total and knocked on all windows for an hour, then her sister texted me threats while she was standing in our backyard.
      Next day she was stalking behind the neighbor house's corner, her hands hidden behind a bag. My dad saw her when he was leaving for work and went to her and asked her to leave. She claimed she wanted to "talk" to me. My dad told her she has no business here. She showed that her hands were empty, like every innocent human does on a daily basis🙄 My dad told her to leave before he calls the police.
      It's your guess if she had a weapon with her, after turning a blade to herself the day before. Guess if she was stalking for multiple days behind the corner just to exchange words.
      Anyway this was not the end of it, and in the end I had to sue. When the court was held a year after, after this case was dealt with, she stayed there for an another case, because she had also stolen something.
      TLDR; Yup.

This culture of having fuckbuddies is people lying to themselves about the consequences, or, I dont know how you can fuck regularly without there being a highly likelyhood of an emotional connection solidifying.
