Standards for legendary are unrealistic. Epic is a great feat for amazing levels with great deco and gp. Legendary is supposed to be for jaw-dropping levels. Mythic are the levels that make you question how it was made in GD. Mythic levels should be reserved for the levels that will be remembered for GD history

the towerverse which is also a feature at best… and ever was fine with it being legendary, WHAT I can understand because of the lag… but having shit like anarchy road get legendary when the towerverse gets a mythic… robtop is definitely on something
I think rob/the mods doesn't mention that? if i remember, mythic are for level that nailed everything perfectly, including gameplay and optimization, stuff like WHAT by Spu7nix, no matter how good it is wouldn't get mythic because it plays poorly on mobile

Not trying to hate or anything, but I feel mythic may be a bit too generous for this level and nostalgia is possibly influencing your decision (of course, that is in no way a bad thing). I am not trying to put this level down or discredit it or anything of the sort but i feel a legendary feature would’ve been more suitable.

I think my favourite small detail about this level is the scaling cannon balls, I might steal that effect for a future level as it looks so cool

Glad you share the same passion for mario galaxy that nate and I do! We had so much fun adding all the tiny references and assets even though it took super long to build.

I think the difficulty balance really ruins it quite a bit, and may probably only get Legendary.

Very nice level, I don’t think it’s mythic at all tho. I personally would see something up to the standards of like, white space as being mythic

Mario Galaxy was my favorite game when I was a kid. Buoy base was my favorite level. 500/10
Early, so I need to ask this: Can I update a level to 2.2 and then submit it in the requests google form? Or do I have to reupload? Or does it have to be a whole new level and no 2.1 things allowed?
It's obviously a great level, but if this is mythic, what really is legendary? Legenendary is already supposed to be a step above epic, which is already only given to phenomenal levels. Just generally i think legendary should be the highest and mythic is kinda unnecessary. When there is this little difference between the ratings, it's basically only up to subjective opinion
this is cool but i dont think its mythic worthy, i think we need a system where every few months the community votes on the best level of the last few months and the best one gets mythic
Oh please dont. No votes please. This will ruin the entire rating system so quickly.
The better way would be to make the community fill a google form to give their picks for the 3 or 5 most mythic worthy levels in the game every few months.
All the levels which were given by everyone will be sifted by mods, troll entries will be removed, and the final batch of the best levels from the last few months will be sent to Rob and Viprin and people like that.
Then they finally decide one for Mythic, in rare cases even two. And the rest of the few levels will be rated Legendary anyways.
@@antagonisticalex401that is a longer explanation of what i actually want. a reasonable system to combat trolls is to only allow voting for the legendary levels released in that time period
@@RichConnerGMN Oooh that IS much more efficient yeah. Hopefully we get this type of stuff implemented in a year or two. I mean its not an urgent enough feature but it would still make the whole rating scene way less toxic.

Agree Anarchy Road should be mythic but this is still legendary worthy imo
@@Amexy-mr6lw sure, this should be legendary. but it's definitely not as worthy of mythic as anarchy road is. there's a massive quality jump between the 2 levels (at least in my opinion). I still like this level though.

Awesome Video as always but I had a question on my mind. Can old level (that have already been rated epic) be rated again cuz there are a lot of phenomenal levels like Dream Flower, White Space, Castlemania to name a few that can easily be rated as legendary or mythic by the current rate standards. The craftsmanship shown in these levels are beyond what words can describe.
Hell Change of Scene and Castlemania deserves Legendary the most in my opinion.
White Space and Dream Flower also deserve Legendary tho not as close to mythic as CoS and CM but they DEFINITELY deserve Legendary too.
But Robtop sadly said that levels pre2.2 wont get rerated.

Not really this doesn't do anything new like Towerverse did. That was like a platformer game but do happened to be in GD. Not really any lvls like that at the time. It has good clean deco and not dogshit gameplay
