- Most survivor players in Dead by Daylight REALLY dont like playing against Pinhead. But some of that is because the box mechanics are a bit hidden and not really explained. So today, we show you how to counter pinheads box, the lament configuration

Also… Pinhead can’t teleport to the box if he’s carrying someone. That’s the best time to solve. Also, when you know that he’s in a chase and the person he’s chasing is injured. A lot of them are unwilling to teleport if they think they can confirm the down
BE CARFUL WITH THIS. As a pinhead main I can't tell u how many times I just got a lucky down next to a hook. And had time to hook and then tp. Make sure ur ready for a chase don't just do it cus u think it's safe.

If a pin head is sitting on box entire match, making the while thing suck, you could protect a teammate so that at least a person is getting a gen done at least. I did it once during a chain hunt for our last gen. Felt like a hero fr. 😂
Someone did that to me I think that was last month. An Ace if I'm not mistaken. Match took forever but that guy was the goat
Doesn’t worth it. If Pinhead doesn’t hook it means Dead Mans will not activate so the Chain Hunt is not a big problem
Ngl pinhead is a well thought power and with the recent feedbacks he’s getting even better
Another tip of solving the box, is doing it when Pinhead is carrying the survivor to a hook so that way he doesn’t summon himself to you and there won’t be another chain hunt for awhile.

Yea, but do it immediately after he picks up someone and stop if they drop, since otherwise they might be able to drop/hook in time to teleport
Another tip isn't one that isn't fully consistent, but it works a lot of the time. If you pickup the box and want to solve, go to the part of the map that either has a lot of walls, or a drop down. For instance on the game, if you start solving the box next to one of the open holes in the floor and pinhead teleports, you have enough time to drop down and walk calmly into a locker, so far I have yet to see a Pinhead actually check the lockers and just looks around, not believing that I had enough time to get in one without him hearing it.
Well let's just hope now no Pinhead try to now check lockers after seeing this and thinking about this lol 😋😋😋😋

After yesterday posts on Twitter, I learnt that most DBD players are bad at puzzles. It’s a time puzzle. Not even a hard one. It’s very basic. I am glad you made this video because people calling it OP gave me headache.

If Pinhead is chasing you while you have the box and are about to go down, going into a locker and having Pinhead grab you will instantly solve the box and avoid starting a chain hunt.
Edit: this apparently has been patched out, so when you load into a match and realize it's pinhead, just DC.

Just loading into a match, i have like 20 hours and going against prestige 16 11 11 and 5 survivors. What the fuck is this joke. Apex matchmaking seems good compared to this

The thing that makes no sense to me as a pinhead main is if the killer passes through the chains it cuts, like I understand if walls can break it but this quite literally defeats the purpose of his summoned chain
Can I just say that pinhead is the most annoying killer yo play against? I prefer ANY other killer over the one that just makes chases plain unfun and forces me to hold interact for 5 seconds every constantly

I'd say the most unfun in chase is the clown cos at least with pinhead he has to be accurate eith the chains. Clown can throw his bottles and it'll just go everywhere

Pretty much any ranged killer in the game (Except Slinger) are annoying But Slinger is pretty balanced and you actually have a chance against him

I swear this was a fix to the chains interrupting you while doing the box. This is how the box works now and survivors are still too scared to go to do it 💀

Pinhead with franklins is such a good combo it’s prolly the only build that gives me a hard time as survivor even with friends
They reworked Franklin’s Demise. It no longer works with special items. Meaning Pinhead can no longer knock the box out of your hands, same goes with Singularity with EMPs, Nemesis with vaccines and so on

another tip for a certain map the game. you can stand at the top of the stairs at the drop to the room that goes next to the freezer room if you solve the box at the vaulting spot he should teleport inside the drop so your good
Pinhead feels unbeatable to play against. I'm a very experienced player and yet I've never had a gate escape on a pinhead. It would be winnable with good teammates but in solo queue it's just unrealistic to think you can win because gen pressure is extreme since no one knows who's going to do the box.
They fixed that with the update that tells you what everyone is doing. The other option is just to take it upon yourself to solve the box. You’ll have more success that way

@@chickendinner98it doesn’t help - in solo Q people will not do the box at all or help. I legitimately am always the only one to touch the box in solo Q it’s annoying as shit esp when you know the other teammates have played enough to know what to do.
Best time to solve the box is doing it on a higher floored location. Doing so will cause him to spawn below you.

Lol. As a pinnhead killer. I just stand on the box. With chatters tooth, and lament configuration. Use hex: Thrill of the hunt, insidious ((or ruin)) with hex face the darkness and sloppy butcher lmao 😂
We always play in a group. So we never wait until the chains spawn bc they are annoying. We just talk to each other and if one is going to be hunted, one of the others grabs the box, run as far away from the hunt as possible (bc some pinheads are not good in chasing and they still are going to teleport) and then do the box.
We also use the box sometimes to save ppl if one wasnt hooked up yet and the other is going to die if pinhead finds him, we just take the box and try to get him teleported to that person. (Yeah it wouldnt solve the box but we are still a team and some killers dont run after you if u show urself to get a hunt bc they now they arent able to get u, but he isnt able to see who is doing the box so he still will come to u 😅)
The chains won't appear when you start solving box. Which means if you evade just one or two chains, the other won't spawn.

Pinhead is just overpowered in general. Any time I face him, I just give up because there's no chance of victory unless he's AFK or it's his player's first match ever
Yeah the chains are super bugged they still hunt when you’re trying to solve the box even when you’ve done those steps like 60% of the time.

If you can escape with the box, for any reason, no more chain hunts will start for the rest of the match. Little tid bit even though you might not do it
Yes that literally happened to me the pinhead had that add on where he can see it and he was running ruin and we couldn’t cleanse it or do gens without it regressing back to zero
In the PTB update that is going to release Pinhead can no longer stand on the box to camp it. The box with respawn after roughly 5secs of pinhead being over the box.

A chainhunt targets you specifically, so it’s a bad idea
Any player holding the box will have their location revealed by killer instinct, so Pinhead will know where you are.
Pinhead is fun to play with a team. My team always troll him. Otherwise playing solo without coordination is just the worst
So pin head standing on thd box has been fixed. If he stands on it for 10 seconds i believe it will teleport to a new location
Can't you also stand in front of a wall so when he tps he teleports on the other side

Always open the box on high ground he will almost always spawn below and it will drive him crazy as he cant get you lol

On the new shelter woods the box can spawn clipped into a tree which is.... helpful 🤣 there's no way to pick it up sadly its like 3 feet up halfway inside a tree 🤣
A squirrel just hid it for the winter 🫠

I love how the game just doesn't explain anything to you, can't even start a custom game offline to see how the killers and various dlc perks work. Only started playing a week and a half ago and whenever I see a new killer I'm completely blind giving them a huge advantage. This game's balancing is terrible, fun, but complete jank and dogshit. Especially for newer players.
Well - if you’re new, a judgement call about balance isn’t something you have enough knowledge to know. Actually, being new, the tool tips on the load screen helps you. But a huge part of the new player experience is playing against killers and going through that learning process

I'd say its pretty balanced for both sides despite the jank. There's things that could improve but I wouldn't say things are wildly in favor of one side or the other.
@@chewthegum a team of optimized survivors will win 9/10 against an optimized killer. A decent killer against solo queue lobbies will win 7/10 times, especially against newer players. But it totally depends on the killer. I haven't played a match yet where the survivors won against the nurse, blight, or pig. Ghost face users for whatever reason are always friendly, they often just let me be if I point to gens and "ask" permission. Kinda funny
The game heavily leans in the survivors' favor. A lot of jank comes from that side too.
And I don't "main" either side either. I think both sides are fun.
@@DropoutJerome First off, pig is terrible and that's why you don't see them win. Idk your rank or whatever, but I'm guessing your lobbies are relatively new. Blight and nurse are both difficult killers to play (even though they're good), so that's why you don't see new blights/nurses winning. Dbd has decent balancing, and I don't think you can judge that until you've played for a while. Another thing you mentioned was the games survivor bias, which isn't true. A lot of this "bias" you see is simply a lack of experience. Every survivor plays the same way, just with different perks. However, every killer has a completely unique power that makes their playstyle completely unique from another, plus add-ons which can change it more.

Dude I've got almost 5k hours and his power is by far the most annoying. The number of times I've grabbed the box, dodged 3 chains, started solving just to have chains keep spawning on me is too many to count. I will just continue to afk pinhead games because that shit is zero fun to play against.

Here's a quick tip to solve pinhead's box:
Hold M1
They should make it so the Box spawns to a different area every 30 seconds
as long as pinhead isnt afk then it does
So what's stopping a survivor from stealing the box and then hiding in the basement or something?
The chainhunt starts for that specific survivor, making it impossible for them to get anything done like totems or gens. Which means its a 3 v 1
Plus, if pinhead finds them and downs them, he auto-solves the box, initiating a chain hunt for the whole team
