What was so cool about the first time I saw Maiden in 2010 is that they played a lot of these songs. This was the setlist from the Albuquerque show that I attended. The Wicker Man Ghost of the Navigator Wrathchild El Dorado Paschendale The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg These Colours Don't Run Blood Brothers Wildest Dreams No More Lies Brave New World Fear of the Dark Iron Maiden Encore: The Number of the Beast Hallowed Be Thy Name Running Free I know a lot of "fans" were kinda bummed that they barely played any 80s songs but I was having the time of my life even though I was only 11 and didn't quite know every song they played yet. Looking back I am so thankful that they played these songs.
I was 14 at the time myself and they were coming nowhere near Florida. Got lucky the next year when they ONLY came to Florida 😂 I loved the setlist we got (again, Dance of Death!!) But really wish I could have had the opportunity to see the one in 2010 too, it's great!
@@Capnharris Yeah I was so excited when my mom said we got tickets. I remember they were swapping between Brighter Than a Thousand Suns and Paschendale every night. I like both songs but I'm glad we got Paschendale. I'm jealous you heard Dance of Death though!
So Fun to think of....I would love a tour with nothing but obscure songs. No "hits" at all! This is exactly why Maiden is such a great band, they write and perform such amazing music, well known or not!
Concept for what to do for a big Eddie on Iron Maiden: Like on the Future Past tour, a walk on Eddie comes out first which is Rainmaker Eddie, who summons down an inflatable cloud with the Brave New World Eddie on as they haven’t done that before and then use lighting to make it look like it’s raining.
That's a neat concept! The three sets you presented all had their strengths as fantasy sets! Some very cool picks, like Out of the Silent Planet, The Pilgrim and such! Some more realistic than others, but I think you nailed the flow and expected structure of a typical Iron Maiden set very well! I'd definitely want to see Paschendale and/or Brighter Than a Thousand Suns featured on such tour. They're both "modern classics" to me and songs that would still suit their way of delivery very well; especially Bruce, who's really gotten amazing with that slightly darker and more gloomy stuff. I also love For the Greater Good of God, but given it's setlist stint in 2018/19 I could overlook it's exclusion, hehe. The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg is another one I think would fit their current style perfectly, but I think it might be competing with Thousand Suns for the "heavy" setlist spot. Ended up with the latter, but it could be either way. Ended up adding both in the end. ...I'm clearly taking this too seriously, haha. So, I'd be happy with something like this. It's kind of 50/50 when it comes to fantasy vs realism values, haha! 1. The Wicker Man (a Wicker Man prop in the vein of all the cool Maiden England, TBOS & LOTB props and inflatables we've seen would be quite amazing!) 2. Ghost of the Navigator 3. Rainmaker (one of the best "modern" rockers imo!) 4. Coming Home -- 5. Paschendale (a theatrical centerpiece for the show?) 6. Death or Glory (not exactly a favourite of mine, but it's a good kick after the massive Paschendale and it also makes a nice thematical pair with it, as they're both sort of WWI songs) 7. Afraid to Shoot Strangers (played in 2012/13 and I think it could make a return for a tour like this) 8. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns (couldn't leave this one out, heh) 9. 2 Minutes to Midnight (wouldn't mind benching this one, but it's another cool thematical tie-in and I think the set might be a bit too bloated without one or two classic "pacers" like this) -- 10. The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg 11. Dance of Death 12. Brave New World 13. Iron Maiden -- ENCORE-- 14. If Eternity Should Fail 15. Powerslave (I think the outro of IESF and the intro of Powerslave would work brilliantly together) 16. Wasted Years
Most Possible would be James one. Objectively. I think that Dream of Mirrors would be included. Plus Benjamin (band loves to play this), Brave New World and Coming Home (easy and was a single from TFF). Wildest Dreams (as Rainmaker wasn’t in 2010) and I have to agree - Colours would be there with no doubt. Curious about main epic (Sign worked this tour even if it’s 25yo!). Probably Paschendale Thanks to you guys. YT needs channel like this! Tour Name? Legacy of the Beast Part 4. Objectively. Dream name: Brave New Tours
I love Montsegur! That would be on my not-at-all-realistic setlist. Definitely Ghost of the Navigator and Paschendale. Not a reunion era song, but I'd love for them to bring back Tailgunner. It's such a fun jam, with some sweet dual guitaring. From Here to Eternity is a great idea for a closer!
1. If Eternity Should Fail (even though it feels a little weird putting it as an opener for a tour that’s not Book of Souls, I can’t deny it’s magic as an opener) 2. Rainmaker (sheer coincidence that this also landed at #2 for me) 3. The Talisman 4. Brave New World 5. Paschendale 6. Tears of a Clown 7. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns 8. The Red and the Black 9. Dream of Mirrors 10. El Dorado 11. Dance of Death 12. Fear of the Dark 13. Iron Maiden Encore 14. The Number of the Beast 15. The Evil That Men Do 16. Hallowed Be Thy Name
Imagine The Final Tour, with setlist made of album names 1. Iron Maiden 2. Killers 3. The Number of the Beast 4. Still Life 5. Powerslave 6. Caught Somewhere In Time 7. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son 8. No Prayer For the Dying 9. Fear of the Dark 10. Man on the Edge 11. Futureal 12. Brave New World 13. Dance of Death ENCORE: 14. Different World 15. The Book of Souls 16. Senjutsu

Brighter than a thou. suns 07 The Mercenary 08. The Book of Souls 09. No more lies 10 These clours don'r run 11. El Dorado 12. Senjutsu Encore: 13. If eternity should fail 14. Brave New World 13. Hell on Earth 14. The Wicker Man

Hells ya! I saved all three and going to be blasting them. I really like the pick of The Legacy ! I’ve done this a few times but no classics, or with Senjutsu. So I just made one with your guidelines 1. If Eternity Should Fail 2. The Fallen Angel 3. El Dorado 4. Lord of the Flies 5. Total Eclipse (Hammersmith) 6. For the Greater Good of God 7. The Legacy 8. Ghost of the Navigator 9. Brave New World 10. No More Lies 11. Tears of the Clown 12. Coming Home 13. Empire of the Clouds 14. The Final Frontier Encore 15. Murders in the Rue Morgue (Hammersmith) 16. Sanctuary (Rock in Rio) 17. Run to the Hills (Rock in Rio) **forgot about the Legacy!**
I hate pretty much every reunion album (besides BNW and Senjutsu), so this could be fun coming from someone who hates the majority of post reunion Maiden (Doctor Doctor over tape) 1. Different World 2. Ghost of the Navigator 3. Deja Vu (Classic Song) 4. Montesgur 5. Death or Glory 6. The Book of Souls 7. The Mercenary 8. The Number of the Beast (Classic Song) 9. Sun and Steel (Classic Song) 10. Speed of Light 11. The Thin Line Between Love and Hate 12. The Alchemist 13. The Reincarnation of Benjamin Brieg 14. Flight of Icarus (Classic Song) 15. Iron Maiden (Classic Song) Encore: 16. Churchill’s Speech/Aces High (Classic Song) 17. Hallowed Be Thy Name (Classic Song) 18. The Trooper (Classic Song) Tour Name: Somewhere Back and Forth in Time Walking Eddie: Speed of Light Eddie (During Speed of Light) Big Eddie Head: Brave New World Eddie (During Iron Maiden) Songs with Pyro in them: - Different World - Deja Vu - Death or Glory - The Book of Souls - The Number of the Beast - Speed of Light - The Alchemist - Flight of Icarus - Iron Maiden - Aces High - The Trooper Other Props: - Different World have a big globe or something on stage - The Number of the Beast have the inflatable Devil - Flight of Icarus have a big Icarus on stage that would light on fire towards the “Fly as high as the sun” part. Also Bruce having the flamethrowers. - Aces High have a big plane on stage - Hallowed be Thy Name have a big cage on stage - The Trooper Bruce comes out in the trooper outfit and has a flag Stage design: Wrap around stage where the art/theme of it is based on all of the reunion album covers Backdrops: Different World: Space/stars Ghost of the Navigator: Pirate ship Deja Vu: SIT album cover Montesgur: DOD album cover but with no digital people Death or Glory: the BOS artwork where Eddie is cutting open his chest with the knife and holding his heart Book of Souls: the BOS artwork where it’s the big exploding Eddie head with the rocks with the band members faces on it The Mercenary: Some kind of war backdrop The Number of the Beast: NOTB single cover Sun and Steel: Sun and Steel Trooper Beer artwork of the samurai Eddie Thin Line: Some kind of sky or cloud backdrop The Alchemist: TFF album cover The Reincarnation of Benjamin Brieg: TROBB single cover Flight of Icarus: FOI single cover but with no Eddie or burning Icarus Iron Maiden: BNW album cover but with no cloud Eddie Encore: Aces High: Plane war backdrop Hallowed Be Thy Name: Some kind of castle or stormy backdrop The Trooper: Trooper Eddie backdrop Bruce would talk between GOTN and Deja Vu, as well as between TNOTB and Sun and Steel, as well as at the end of Iron Maiden, as well as between Aces High and Hallowed, and at the end of The Trooper
Hey! Just stumbled on this video, didn't knew the channel and loved it! As a maniac of lists, here goes my setlist for this. Obs: I hate having to be realistic! I wish I could bring Montsegur and Empire of the fucking' Clouds! 1. The Wicker Man OR If Eternity Should Fail (alternating) 2. El Dorado 3. Stratego 4. Ghost of the Navigator 5. Speed of light OR Wrathchild (alternating each night) 6. Dance of Death OR Book of Souls (alternating each night) 7. Brave New World 8. Different World 9. Paschendale 10. Death or Glory 11. The Mercenary 12. When the Wild Wind Blows 13. Fear of the Dark 14. Iron Maiden Encore: 15. Futureal (Futureal??? Yes, Futureal.) 16. The Trooper 17. The Number of the Beast 18. From Here To Eternity (loved the idea, so I stole it) As it would be a tour about the reunion, it makes sense to me having 4 Brave New World songs. I also like the idea of varying a few songs each night. And thinking about some Blaze era stuff, Futureal made sense to me in this setlist.
I've been hoping for this for many years, and considering I seem to be the only one who prefer 00s Maiden over 80s Maiden, a tour like this would be a bless. My setlist would look like this: 1. If Eternity Should Fail 2. Stratego 3. The Writing On The Wall 4. The Red And The Black 5. The Trooper (No need to mess with that one) 6. Brave New World 7. Dance Of Death 8. Rainmaker 9. Paschendale 10. For The Greater Good Of God 11. The Wicker Man 12. When The Wild Wind Blows 13. Fear Of The Dark 14. Iron Maiden ENCORE: 15. The Number Of The Beast 16. Blood Brothers 17. Hallowed Be Thy Name
I love every part of this idea. This will take a while for me to get my list out, but I know a few that are gonna have to make it already that none of you said.
I'm going to see Maiden in Columbus Ohio in October. This will be the 16th time I seen them live. This is the setlist that I wish they would Play If I Had It My Way . 1. The Wicker Man 2. The Writing on the Wall 3. Flight of Icarus 4. Dance of Death 5. The Evil That Men Do 6. Revelations 7. Fear of the Dark 8. Hell on Earth 9. Infinite Dreams 10. The Clansman 11. The Iron Maiden Encore 12. The Number of the Beast 13. The Trooper 14. Hallowed Be Thy Name Final Encore 15. Phantom of the Opera My first Maiden concert was The X Factor tour with Blaze. Been a Maiden fan since 1981. First Maiden song I ever heard was Wrathchild. The first Maiden album I purchased was Peace of Mind. My favorite concert was TMOLAD Tour at the Verizon Amphitheater, Irvine California. In that concert of course you know they played the whole album and it seemed like I was one of the few that knew all the songs on that album and I was jamming and everybody was looking at me as if I was crazy with a little jealousy. Good times. Top 3 Maiden songs of mine, 1. Hell On Earth 2. Hallowed Be Thy Name 3. For the Greater Good of God Honorable Mentions 4. 22 Acacia Avenue 5. Starblind 6. Caught Somewhere in Time 7. Dance of Death 8. Children of the Damned 9. A Thin Line Between Love and Hate 10. Infinite Dreams
Great video !! Side note - was never the biggest fan of Janick's first 2 albums. I went to them recently after watching one of your vlogs... The title track NPFTD is so damn good. Gets me in the feels. Irons Forever ♥
I feel that adding “quietly” one song from 90’ era to Maiden England (Afraid), Legacy (Cross and Clansman) it’s all we get as covering this era post reunion. We also had BYDTTS in 2003 with Lord of Flies also in 2003. Only one or two important songs are missing there. And I think That we gonna get them as a surprise bonus to following tours (like they did with Afraid in 2012/13). These songs are singles, important parts of 90 sets. - Be Quick or Be Dead (could be played slower but Bruce could sing this one) - Wasting Love (it’s easy to learn, Bruce would sing this perfectly and it was a single and .. it is popular on YT)
Would be a dream for me. I agree with James time to come back to AMOLAD. No classics in the encore though and no Iron Maiden as a closer. Tears of the barstoolers and classic boys instead of an inflatable Eddie to end the show. Also the backdrop just to be the Dance of Death album cover for all songs. Like I want the backdrop to roll off between songs/for each realm and change but each time it's just replaced by another backdrop of the dance of death cover. Out of the Shadows 4th Track as the baladish song where revelations/children of damned has been recently. Blood Brothers, Wicker Man iconic enough now for encore. Love the idea of there being two slightly different variations of the setlist. Lord of light one night, legacy the next night. So many people come see them more than once on each tour. Also love the idea of including one or two songs they've never done before, Bruce can talk and say this is a deep cuts tour for the fans. Advertise on the posters that no classics will be played I don't wanna hear no complainin.
This is more of a dream setlist than a prediction for something like this if it ever were to happen, but for me it would be: Rainmaker The Writing on the Wall These Colours Don't Run The Red and the Black The Wicker Man Coming Home Dance of Death Ghost of the Navigator Hell on Earth The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg The Nomad Starblind Journeyman The Parchment When the Wild Wind Blows Empire of the clouds
I dont think Maiden would do a Post Reunion tour because they kinda already did that in 2010, in the first leg of the Final Frontier tour. But fun concept, so I did 2 sets, one with Senjutsu songs and another without. 16 songs each and no Fear Of The Dark! I also didnt pick songs they've never played, but if I could include one would be Montsegur. POST REUNION TOUR The Wickerman Ghost Of The Navigator Brighter Than A Thousand Suns Rainmaker Coming Home Paschendale Tears Of A Clown The Book Of Souls The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg The Talisman Where The Wild Wind Blows The Number Of The Beast Iron Maiden Journeyman If Eternity Should Fail The Trooper POST REUNION TOUR (with Senjutsu songs) The Wickerman Ghost Of The Navigator Brighter Than A Thousand Suns Rainmaker Coming Home Paschendale The Time Machine The Book Of Souls The Writing On The Wall The Talisman Hell On Earth The Number Of The Beast Iron Maiden Journeyman If Eternity Should Fail The Trooper
Knowing Maiden, I think they could do this; 1- The Wicker Man (4:35) 2- The Ghost of the Navigator (6:50) 3- These Colours don’t run (6:52) 4- Rainmaker (3:48) 5- Brave New World (6:18) 6- El Dorado: (6:49) 7- The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg (7:21) 8- If Eternity Should Fail (8:28) 9- Speed of light (5:01) 10- Dance of Death (8:36) 11- Coming Home (5:52) 12- Iron Maiden (5:30) Encore 13- Fear of the Dark (7:46) 14- The Number of the Beast (4:59) 15- Hallowed be thy name (7:38)
Very possible one. I’m not sure that they will Play IESF again but on the other side it’s Bruce’s song so there are some chances. Your set is even more possible with main epic in IESF place eg Paschendale
@@iRemol I would like red and the black also, but too long, Paschendale is an epic but I’m also imagine That Nicko is getting older, maybe they even shorters next tours.
Alright, this might be slightly unrealistic, but I’d love to see something like this Doctor Doctor and Mars, The Bringer of War set the scene, four count from Nicko, The Mercenary starts up. The dead stop ending gives a brief pause before the band launch into El Dorado! Crowd goes nuts, Bruce says his customary “welcome one and all to the other side of eternity! If you’re here for the classics then I’m sorry to break it to you but These Colours Don’t Run!” We get another speedy crowd pleaser with Death or Glory before the first pre-00s song hits, The Trooper. Lights drop back down, we get the ambient tape while the acoustic guitars get brought on stage for Dance of Death. Another speedy one from Book of Souls with Speed of Light plays out. Maybe Bruce talks here to introduce Steve Harris as we launch into The Longest Day (one of my favourites from AMOLAD since I think The Legacy may be off the table). Another epic in Dream of Mirrors, then the sounds of a thunderstorm give way to Rainmaker! The main set more or less closes out with When The Wild Wind Blows before the usual Fear of the Dark and Iron Maiden. Yay yay yay! Crowd is very happy. Another 4 count from Nicko, and the encore opens up with Coming Home. The only other 80’s classic here is Hallowed Be Thy Name before the show comes to a close with the neo-classic of The Wicker Man, which lets the show end with a great singalong moment. One thing I can think of that would be kinda cool would only be doable if we had Senjutsu songs on this list. If Eternity Should Fail, but with the acoustic guitar outro played while Bruce talks to the crowd and then using that to go into Writing on the Wall.
All very interesting! Eternity, TBOS and TRATB are all favorites from The Book of Souls, but I couldn't really find a way to squash any of them into my list
I played my setlist today, and jammed along with it in guitar. This actually moves at a really good pace. I’m surprised, actually. I thought this could be pretty off, but I think the way my major epics move makes enough space to breathe. Here’s the playlist link. open.spotify.com/playlist/6BjYIQkveGuztipxhnjkgx?si=sYW2o00uRPWpwBGfBDWpcw
I will never get those idiots in 06 who complained about the setlist. Even without the internet it was all over the magazines and tour publicity..I saw it in London and it was the best night of my life
1. Speed of Light 2. Wickerman 3. Death or Glory 4. The Trooper 5. Mother of Mercy 6. No More Lies 7. Dance of Death 8. Number of the Beast 9. Dream of Mirrors 10. Coming Home 11. The Legacy 12. Iron Maiden Encore 1. 13. Fear of the Dark 14. Hallowed be thy Name 15. Journeyman Encore 2. 16. Run to the Hills 1 hr 38 mins Notes: A realistic setlist is either 16 tracks or 1 hr 40 mins broken down at 10 from the theme of the tour + 6 classics. So with that in mind + your rules (no Senjutsu) If Senjutsu album was included Hell on Earth would follow The Legacy with removal of Coming Home. I also think it is realistic that a few of the classics are mixed into the themed setlist.
My '21st century tour' set list: 01 The Wickerman 02 Ghost of the Navigator 03 These Colours Don't Run 04 Rainmaker 05 Coming Home 06 Stratego 07 The Book of Souls 08 Dance of Death 09 The Mercenary 10 The Reincarnation of B.B. 11 Death or Glory 12 The Talisman 13 Hell on Earth 14 If Eternity Should Fail 15 The Writing on the Wall 16 Blood Brothers
I thought these guys had me totally outclassed as Iron Maiden nerds, but at least I can rattle off the "A Matter of Life and Death" track running order off the top of my head. Points for me, I guess.
My Post Reunion History Tour Set Doctor Doctor The Omen Theme Song 1. The Fallen Angel 2. Wildest Dreams 3. Speed Of Light 4. Mother Of Mercy 5. The Mercenary 6. Isle Of Avalon 7. The Nomad 8. The Alchemist 9. When The River Runs Deep 10. Starblind 11. Shadows Of The Valley 12. New Frontier 13. Fear Of The Dark 14. Iron Maiden Encore 1. Caught Somewhere In Time 2. The Duellist. 3. The Prophecy Encore 2 1. Still Life 2. Alexander The Great
I had an idea of this, but I didn't like it. Here we go anyways (this is different from the other one): 1. The Wicker Man 2. Speed of Light 3. Rainmaker 4. Blood Brothers 5. The Writing on the Wall 6. Coming Home 7. The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg 8. The Great Unknown 9. Dance of Death 10. Death or Glory 11. When the Wild Wind Blows 12. The Number of the Beast 13. Iron Maiden Encore: 1. Fear of the Dark 2. For the Greater Good of God 3. Hell on Earth By the way, I called this the "New Breed" Tour.
Tough one for me, seeing as I missed most of their tours! 😂 Without skimming through footage of tons of tours and making myself indecisive over 80s or recent years, I'd have to say Brave New World. They were all performing the best they ever had at that point and I've only ever been able to hear Wickerman and Blood Brothers off of that album. The AMOLAD tour is a runner up. The fact that they played that album in full is so ballsy, but I would have loved it. I'll have to ask the guys for theirs!
I would have gone off at any of the live shows ,behind the iron curtain, the crowd during 22 acacia avenue ,classic 80s,they were being converted before our eyes, lol.
1. The Wicker Man 2. The Ghost of the Navigator 3. The Talisman 4. Paschendale 5. Montsegur 6. Death or Glory 7. Man on the Edge 8. The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg 9. Futureal 10. Brave New World 11. Fear of the Dark 12. Hallowed Be Thy Name 13. Iron Maiden 14. Be Quick or Be Dead 15. The Number of the Beast 16. Bring Your Daughter… To the Slaughter…
I would go with: 1. Wicker Man 2. Rainmaker 3. Days of Future Past 4. For the Greater Good of God 5. The Talisman 6. The Mercenary 7. Benjamin Breeg 8. The Alchemist 9. When the Wild Wind Blows 10. Out of the Silent Planet 11. The Parchment 12. The Legacy 13. The Number of the Beast 14. The Trooper 15. Hallowed Be Thy Name
How about maiden doing a 2 or 3 month tours of playing all the songs from the X- Factor to Senjutsu than that’s all of the covered because they still have got to do the rest of the History of Iron Maiden parts 4 to 6 it’s just a thought
I forgot No prayer for the dying and Fear Of The Dark Albums a lot of Maiden fans don’t like these albums but I love them I have listened to a few bootlegs of the No Prayer Tour it’s a classic
*Doctor, Doctor* *Arthur's Farewell* 1. Wicker Man 2. Ghost of the Navigator 3. Brave New World 4. Paschendale (with Death on the Road intro) *Bruce welcome* 5. The Trooper 6. The Journeyman 7. One somewhat realistic tour I'd imagine them to go out with a tour, is a song off of each album.. 01. The Wicker Man 02. Two Minutes To Midnight 03. Can I Play With Madness 04. Coming Home 05. The Trooper 06. Wrathchild 07. Dance Of Death 08. The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg 09. The Writing on the Wall 10. The Clansman 11. Sign Of The Cross 12. Bring Your Daughter... To The Slaughter 13. Fear Of The Dark 14. Iron Maiden encore 15. If Eternity Should Fail 16. The Number Of The Beast 17. Wasted Years

Up the Irons!
Too hard to navigate/negotiate between dream and realistic, practical and probable, so this is just a little of each and all of none. ---- Replace "Doctor" with "Lights Out" by UFO Intro music 1 Caught Somewhere in Time 2 El Dorado 3 Ghost of the Navigator 4 Coming Home 5 Out of the Silent Planet 6 Dance of Death 7 Stratego 8 Isle of Avalon 9 Sea of Madness 10 Book of Souls 11 Breeg 12 Talisman 13 Thin line Between Love/Hate 14 Iron Maiden ------ 15 Pashcendale 16 Prowler 17 HELL ON EARTH --
Okay my totally unrealistic set list: 1. El Dorado 2. Ghost of the Navigator 3. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns 4. Brave New World 5. The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg 6. Coming Home 7. The Thin Line Between Love and Hate 8. Out of the Shadows 9. Isle of Avalon 10. When the Wild Wind Blows (During the 20 minutes of these last two songs, a full orchestra is sneaked onstage for the big finish.) 11. Paschendale 12. The Nomad (Might be copyright issues but let 'em sue!) 13. Journeyman (Segues nicely from Nomad) Encore - leave the orchestra onstage for: 14. Empire of the Clouds No 80's stuff and no freakin' Iron Maiden or Fear of the Dark. Bruce will have to shut up to keep this under two hours. Like I said, not realistic.
1. Wicker Man 2. Ghost of the Navigator 3. Brave New World 4. Out of the Silent Planet 5. Wildest Dreams 6. Rainmaker 7. Montesugar 8. Dance of Death 9. Journeyman 10. Brighter than a Thousand Suns 11. Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg 12. The Legacy 13. El Dorado 14. The Talisman 15. The Man who Would be King 16. If Eternity should Fail 17. Red and the Black 18. Empire of the Clouds 19. The Trooper 20. Fear of the Dark 21. Rime of the Ancient Mariner 22. Iron Maiden 23. Number of the Beast 24. Hallowed be thy Name 25. Run to the Hills
I think my post reunion setlist would look something like this 1. The Wicker Man 2. Ghost Of The Navigator 3. These Colors Don't Run 4. Death Or Glory 5. Dance Of Death 6. Rainmaker 7. The Pilgrim 8. Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg 9. The Mercenary 10. Different World 11. When The Wild Wind Blows 12. Fear Of The Dark 13. Iron Maiden Encore 14. The Number Of The Beast 15. Hallowed Be Thy Name 16. Running Free
What was so cool about the first time I saw Maiden in 2010 is that they played a lot of these songs. This was the setlist from the Albuquerque show that I attended.
The Wicker Man
Ghost of the Navigator
Wrathchild
El Dorado
Paschendale
The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg
These Colours Don't Run
Blood Brothers
Wildest Dreams
No More Lies
Brave New World
Fear of the Dark
Iron Maiden
Encore:
The Number of the Beast
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Running Free
I know a lot of "fans" were kinda bummed that they barely played any 80s songs but I was having the time of my life even though I was only 11 and didn't quite know every song they played yet. Looking back I am so thankful that they played these songs.
I was 14 at the time myself and they were coming nowhere near Florida. Got lucky the next year when they ONLY came to Florida 😂
I loved the setlist we got (again, Dance of Death!!) But really wish I could have had the opportunity to see the one in 2010 too, it's great!
@@Capnharris Yeah I was so excited when my mom said we got tickets. I remember they were swapping between Brighter Than a Thousand Suns and Paschendale every night. I like both songs but I'm glad we got Paschendale. I'm jealous you heard Dance of Death though!
James Playlist tickles my fancy. Love his setlist
So Fun to think of....I would love a tour with nothing but obscure songs. No "hits" at all! This is exactly why Maiden is such a great band, they write and perform such amazing music, well known or not!
Thanks for the playlists!
Iv liked all 3 playlists on Spotify and going to listen to them tomorrow and see what has the best flow
Yes, do a misheard lyrics video!! :)
James list was my favorite. Heaven Can Wait should be an encore song!
I like Steph's list the best. I think she's the most intuned Iron Maiden fan on RUclips. The boys are cool to.
Finally, took a while to remember him! I have seen Logan on the ILM stands. I think we met o. The Atlanta game tour. HPpy birthday and up the Irons!
Concept for what to do for a big Eddie on Iron Maiden:
Like on the Future Past tour, a walk on Eddie comes out first which is Rainmaker Eddie, who summons down an inflatable cloud with the Brave New World Eddie on as they haven’t done that before and then use lighting to make it look like it’s raining.
1. The Wicker Man (a Wicker Man prop in the vein of all the cool Maiden England, TBOS & LOTB props and inflatables we've seen would be quite amazing!)
2. Ghost of the Navigator
3. Rainmaker (one of the best "modern" rockers imo!)
4. Coming Home
--
5. Paschendale (a theatrical centerpiece for the show?)
6. Death or Glory (not exactly a favourite of mine, but it's a good kick after the massive Paschendale and it also makes a nice thematical pair with it, as they're both sort of WWI songs)
7. Afraid to Shoot Strangers (played in 2012/13 and I think it could make a return for a tour like this)
8. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns (couldn't leave this one out, heh)
9. 2 Minutes to Midnight (wouldn't mind benching this one, but it's another cool thematical tie-in and I think the set might be a bit too bloated without one or two classic "pacers" like this)
--
10. The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg
11. Dance of Death
12. Brave New World
13. Iron Maiden
-- ENCORE--
14. If Eternity Should Fail
15. Powerslave (I think the outro of IESF and the intro of Powerslave would work brilliantly together)
Probably Paschendale
Thanks to you guys.
1. If Eternity Should Fail (even though it feels a little weird putting it as an opener for a tour that’s not Book of Souls, I can’t deny it’s magic as an opener)
2. Rainmaker (sheer coincidence that this also landed at #2 for me)
3. The Talisman
4. Brave New World
5. Paschendale
6. Tears of a Clown
7. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns
8. The Red and the Black
9. Dream of Mirrors
10. El Dorado
11. Dance of Death
12. Fear of the Dark

I agree that Montsegur, on a dream list, would be my favorite song. Definitely one of their best most overlooked bangers.
I hate pretty much every reunion album (besides BNW and Senjutsu), so this could be fun coming from someone who hates the majority of post reunion Maiden
(Doctor Doctor over tape)
1. Different World
2. Ghost of the Navigator
3. Deja Vu (Classic Song)

Bruce would talk between GOTN and Deja Vu, as well as between TNOTB and Sun and Steel, as well as at the end of Iron Maiden, as well as between Aces High and Hallowed, and at the end of The Trooper
Hey! Just stumbled on this video, didn't knew the channel and loved it! As a maniac of lists, here goes my setlist for this. Obs: I hate having to be realistic! I wish I could bring Montsegur and Empire of the fucking' Clouds!
1. The Wicker Man OR If Eternity Should Fail (alternating)
2. El Dorado
3. Stratego
4. Ghost of the Navigator
5. Speed of light OR Wrathchild (alternating each night)
6. Dance of Death OR Book of Souls (alternating each night)
7. Brave New World
8. Different World
9. Paschendale
10. Death or Glory
11. The Mercenary
12. When the Wild Wind Blows
13. Fear of the Dark
14. Iron Maiden
Encore:
15. Futureal (Futureal??? Yes, Futureal.)
16. The Trooper
17. The Number of the Beast
18. From Here To Eternity (loved the idea, so I stole it)
As it would be a tour about the reunion, it makes sense to me having 4 Brave New World songs.
My setlist would look like this:
1. If Eternity Should Fail
2. Stratego
3. The Writing On The Wall
4. The Red And The Black
5. The Trooper (No need to mess with that one)
6. Brave New World
7. Dance Of Death
8. Rainmaker
9. Paschendale
10. For The Greater Good Of God
11. The Wicker Man
12. When The Wild Wind Blows
13. Fear Of The Dark
14. Iron Maiden
ENCORE:
15. The Number Of The Beast
16. Blood Brothers
1. The Wicker Man
2. The Writing on the Wall
3. Flight of Icarus
4. Dance of Death
5. The Evil That Men Do
6. Revelations
7. Fear of the Dark
8. Hell on Earth
9. Infinite Dreams
10. The Clansman
11. The Iron Maiden
Encore
12. The Number of the Beast
13. The Trooper
14. Hallowed Be Thy Name
Final Encore
15. Phantom of the Opera
My first Maiden concert was The X Factor tour with Blaze. Good times.
Top 3 Maiden songs of mine,
1. Hell On Earth
2. Hallowed Be Thy Name
3. For the Greater Good of God
Honorable Mentions
4. 22 Acacia Avenue
5. Starblind
6. Caught Somewhere in Time
7. Dance of Death
8. Children of the Damned
9. A Thin Line Between Love and Hate
10. Infinite Dreams
I like them all nice review I think of mine and sent it soon
Great video !!
Side note - was never the biggest fan of Janick's first 2 albums. I went to them recently after watching one of your vlogs... The title track NPFTD is so damn good. Gets me in the feels.
Irons Forever ♥
I feel that adding “quietly” one song from 90’ era to Maiden England (Afraid), Legacy (Cross and Clansman) it’s all we get as covering this era post reunion. We also had BYDTTS in 2003 with Lord of Flies also in 2003. Only one or two important songs are missing there.
And I think
That we gonna get them as a surprise bonus to following tours (like they did with Afraid in 2012/13). These songs are singles, important parts of 90 sets.
- Be Quick or Be Dead (could be played slower but Bruce could sing this one)
- Wasting Love (it’s easy to learn, Bruce would sing this perfectly and it was a single and .. it is popular on YT)
Another fun time. Thanks for having me!
This is more of a dream setlist than a prediction for something like this if it ever were to happen, but for me it would be:
Rainmaker
The Writing on the Wall
These Colours Don't Run
The Red and the Black
The Wicker Man
Coming Home
Dance of Death
Ghost of the Navigator
Hell on Earth
The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg
The Nomad
Starblind
Journeyman
The Parchment
When the Wild Wind Blows
Empire of the clouds
I’m all about that acappella video 👍🏻👍🏻
I dont think Maiden would do a Post Reunion tour because they kinda already did that in 2010, in the first leg of the Final Frontier tour. But fun concept, so I did 2 sets, one with Senjutsu songs and another without. 16 songs each and no Fear Of The Dark! I also didnt pick songs they've never played, but if I could include one would be Montsegur.
POST REUNION TOUR
The Wickerman
Ghost Of The Navigator
Brighter Than A Thousand Suns
Rainmaker
Coming Home
Paschendale
Tears Of A Clown
The Book Of Souls
The Reincarnation Of Benjamin Breeg
The Talisman
Where The Wild Wind Blows
The Number Of The Beast
Iron Maiden
Journeyman
If Eternity Should Fail
The Trooper
POST REUNION TOUR (with Senjutsu songs)
The Wickerman
Ghost Of The Navigator
Brighter Than A Thousand Suns
Rainmaker
Coming Home
Paschendale
The Time Machine
The Book Of Souls
The Writing On The Wall
The Talisman
Hell On Earth
The Number Of The Beast
Iron Maiden
Journeyman
If Eternity Should Fail
The Trooper
Knowing Maiden, I think they could do this;
1- The Wicker Man (4:35)
2- The Ghost of the Navigator (6:50)
3- These Colours don’t run (6:52)
4- Rainmaker (3:48)
5- Brave New World (6:18)
6- El Dorado: (6:49)
7- The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg (7:21)
8- If Eternity Should Fail (8:28)
9- Speed of light (5:01)
10- Dance of Death (8:36)
11- Coming Home (5:52)
12- Iron Maiden (5:30)
Encore
13- Fear of the Dark (7:46)
14- The Number of the Beast (4:59)
15- Hallowed be thy name (7:38)
Very possible one. I’m not sure that they will
Play IESF again but on the other side it’s Bruce’s song so there are some chances. Your set is even more possible with main epic in IESF place eg Paschendale
@@iRemol I would like red and the black also, but too long, Paschendale is an epic but I’m also imagine That Nicko is getting older, maybe they even shorters next tours.
You guys are so awesome. Would love to be in your friend group haha
Alright, this might be slightly unrealistic, but I’d love to see something like this
Doctor Doctor and Mars, The Bringer of War set the scene, four count from Nicko, The Mercenary starts up.
@@Capnharris Yeah, if I wasn’t going for Longest, Mirrors AND Wild Wind, I’d be having Red/Black in a heartbeat.
I played my setlist today, and jammed along with it in guitar. This actually moves at a really good pace. I’m surprised, actually. I thought this could be pretty off, but I think the way my major epics move makes enough space to breathe.
Here’s the playlist link.

I will never get those idiots in 06 who complained about the setlist. Even without the internet it was all over the magazines and tour publicity..I saw it in London and it was the best night of my life

4. The Trooper
5. Mother of Mercy

13. Fear of the Dark
14. Hallowed be thy Name
15. Journeyman
Encore 2.
16. Run to the Hills
1 hr 38 mins
Notes:
A realistic setlist is either 16 tracks or 1 hr 40 mins broken down at 10 from the theme of the tour + 6 classics. So with that in mind + your rules (no Senjutsu)
If Senjutsu album was included Hell on Earth would follow The Legacy with removal of Coming Home.
I also think it is realistic that a few of the classics are mixed into the themed setlist.
finally someone mentioned Journeyman. It's so overlooked
My '21st century tour' set list:
01 The Wickerman
02 Ghost of the Navigator
03 These Colours Don't Run
04 Rainmaker
05 Coming Home
06 Stratego
07 The Book of Souls
08 Dance of Death
09 The Mercenary
10 The Reincarnation of B.B.
11 Death or Glory
12 The Talisman
13 Hell on Earth
14 If Eternity Should Fail
15 The Writing on the Wall
16 Blood Brothers
I think that it would be cool if they did a 90’s Era Tour. It’s a decade that they haven’t reached yet as a greatest hits tour
I thought these guys had me totally outclassed as Iron Maiden nerds, but at least I can rattle off the "A Matter of Life and Death" track running order off the top of my head. Points for me, I guess.
Cracking video folks. James does a very good English accent at 9:40
That might be because he is from England! 😂

Hello from rotorua, new zealand, love your passion for maiden, question what tour would the 3 of you love too go back in time for and witness.
Tough one for me, seeing as I missed most of their tours! 😂
Without skimming through footage of tons of tours and making myself indecisive over 80s or recent years, I'd have to say Brave New World.

Anyone else have a dream setlist they want to post? Up the Irons!
Too hard to navigate/negotiate between dream and realistic, practical and probable, so this is just a little of each and all of none.

Okay my totally unrealistic set list:
1. El Dorado
2. Ghost of the Navigator
3. Brighter Than a Thousand Suns
4. Brave New World
5. The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg
6. Coming Home
7. The Thin Line Between Love and Hate
8. Out of the Shadows
9. Isle of Avalon
10. When the Wild Wind Blows (During the 20 minutes of these last two songs, a full orchestra is sneaked onstage for the big finish.)
11. Paschendale
12. The Nomad (Might be copyright issues but let 'em sue!)
13. Journeyman (Segues nicely from Nomad)
Encore - leave the orchestra onstage for:
14. Empire of the Clouds
No 80's stuff and no freakin' Iron Maiden or Fear of the Dark. Bruce will have to shut up to keep this under two hours. Like I said, not realistic.
