I've said this before and I'll gladly say it again....I literally can't get enough of this channel. I never just watch one video it's always at least 2 back to back
Previous post; “Why this channel doesn’t have a million subscribers”. Just guessing, it’s not a video game, just honest simple Christian love on display, a little bit of Jesus’s Kingdom. Tipper reminds me of my mom. Getting stuff to grow on concrete.
I live in a small apartment building (15 units) in a quaint neighborhood……outside my door I used to have my flower garden…..now unable due to my disability but I sure ENJOY my neighbors flowers. Flowers seem to feed the soul! Flowers are god’s gift to us!
Tipper you have a gift of narrating your videos. Your delivery is such that it captivates the attention of your audience. I appreciate you keeping us updated on the status of your farming endeavors. There is little slice of envy in my heart that you live in such a beautiful place and have the good fortune to be surrounded by lovely family members and friends. Hope you all receive rain….sooner than later would be nice. 😊
Reminds me of what Momma says, "It will either get tough or die"! LOL! I'm blessed to still have her. She will be 82 in August. And is still sharp as a tack!!
Thanks, Tipper. We got no rain. My garden is suffering terribly. I am thankful you have gotten a bit. It's supposed to reach 98 here this weekend. I dont think I can water enough to help at that point. ❤
Such a blessing to have some rain. 🙌🏻 your garden is looking very pretty. The corn patch as really taken off. Praying that we all will be getting some rain soon. I live in E.TN and it has been so very dry. Thank you for showing us your gardens. 😃
I enjoyed this video! Reminds me of going to a friend’s house and walking thru their garden! Not sure why we do that but we always do! My family does it too! We just enjoy seeing what others do and how they do it!
For this city slicker, all I can say is I love your videos and family. Thankfully we have a lot of farmers set up in our area, but I love seeing how it’s all done!
I like how you try to find solutions to the bugs, deer, rain (or lack thereof), etc. I like that you dream and plan year round. I love that you do your best, but ultimately leave it to God. Jehovah Jireh, the Lord Provides, does exactly that. He provides for His children through the way He grows our food to the prompting of a friend to bless you with something He laid on their heart to give. What I love most of all is your gratitude. You may have disappointments in one area of the garden but are quick to thank Him for bounty in another area. Humanity began in a garden. I think the Lord knew that there are so many life lessons to be learned there! 🌽🍅🌻💙
I know nothing about zinnias, but your lovely description of their beauty, and being so easy to grow, inspires me to seek some out. They really are pretty.
This was lovely, I noticed the same about the rain my pepper plants that I planted in may had a great growths spurt after it rained a week ago,I just saw my first tomato today,my marigolds have struggled I have to replant but my zinnias are blooming lovely my cilantro is not doing well either, thanks again for this beautiful July garden tour
I'm so happy you got some rain! We had some HUGE cracks in our garden (they're actually still there!), but we got a wonderful rain on June 30, and July 2, and a big rain on July 4th! It was so necessary! It rained good last night, but the wind did blow my corn down. My one 8-ft. sunflower is looking sad, but it's going to bloom soon. I had to prop some things up today, and of course it was a great time to pull some weeds! My husband and I were eating supper, and I saw a ghastly tomato horn worm on his shirt sleeve!!! Those things make me want to toss my cookies! So I went out and searched for more, but didn't see any. I checked my peppers, too, because they devastated my peppers a couple of years ago. Your garden is lovely! Thank you for the tour!❤
Those of us who garden are eternal optimists. There’s always next year that might be better. My rattle snake beans came up fine, the Kentucky wonder poorly and the Romano Bush bean, not one came up. My tomatoes are sickly looking and have aphids that seem resistant to sprays. The squash looks great. All my flower are looking really good. It’s not the best year but I will still plant next year.
Hi Tipper, seeing your corn growing brought back memories of fall and fodder shocks. Every fall, my Daddy would decorate with pumpkins and fodder shocks. He would start with an open step ladder and build around it while leaving a small opening like a tee-pee so my brother and I could play in it. Maybe in a few years, you and Matt can make some for your precious grandsons. Thanks for your garden tour. Really enjoyed it.
Love your gardens!!! Gardening makes me so happy. I'm sure you know this but nasturtiums are absolutely delicious in salads. I grow them and occasionally pick a handful of leaves and they are delicious, similar to arugula.
You are blessed to have the purple cone flower. Mine done the same thing. Came up and spread for a few years then just didn’t come up one year. I’ve heard it’s one of the best natural antibiotics for stuff like colds and flu.
Tipper thank you for the tour of your garden and beautiful flowers. Your and Matt's hard work has really paid off. Can't wait to see you all enjoying some corn and other bounty from your garden. My Grandfather grew beets the size of a softball and loved to grow gardens. Hope your beets do good for you too. I love watching you all and seeing how you grow your garden and plant all your different lovely flowers. Sending blessings to you all. ❤
Our raspberries did the same thing. We got about a quart. They were loaded and just dried up. Everything looks great. Love zinnias. Corn looks great. We got about 5 minutes of rain yesterday. We need a lot more. Glad you all got some. I love to watch the garden come alive. Both me and Doug got the love of the garden from our parents and grandparents too. Hope you all have a bounty of harvests. Yall have a blessed night.
Hello everyone😊 I love your videos, your stories, your humbleness, your way of life, and the love that your family has for one another. You have influenced a lot of my meals lately. My dad thanks you for the meal ideas.😊
Oops Second comment. When we lived on Vancouver island we had a herd of deer trying to live full time in our backyard. We didn’t mind them but the bucks I didn’t like around my kids and dogs so I sprayed a concoction of 10-20 drops each of cinnamon, clove, and mint essential oils ,and also used cubed Irish spring soap .They hated both
I look forward to watching you. I wish you were on everyday 😊 I’m have a difficult gardening day. It’s been so hot here in Middle Tennessee! Our corn has suffered. Beans produced well but some got shucky before I could get them picked. Tomatoes are really productive but are firing up with blight. But, God is good and we’ll be just fine! Keep up your good work! May God bless your family. Thank you from Jim and Lisa from Tennessee ❤️
Loved your garden tour. And your reasons why we keep gardening. It's just in our blood. My garden got a bit neglected while busy with my boys but I always had something out there that I just had to find time to check up on ❤
Y’all really do have a huge garden. It may be patches here and there, along with the big garden, but it really is huge! It all looks great! I’m telling you, if you put out a line of aluminum pie pans on strings around the big garden them deer get spooked by the noise of the pans hitting together. It’s worked for me for years. Can’t hurt to give it a try!
My dad always did that, works for more then just deer( if there is a breeze) I have rubber snakes and owls for the small critters, I plant inside a fenced in area so the deer just walk thru on the outside of the fence.
Tipper you should check out what Andy and Megan at True Grit Appalachian Ways are using in their creek garden to ward off the deer. They found some very inexpensive, motion activated noise boxes that sound like dogs barking. They sat them around the corn and beans and they have worked. They are called Solar motion sensor alarms.
Thank you for the garden tour! It reminds me of my grandparents and it warms my heart. I have depression and anxiety and your channel and the girls' channel calm me down - it's so soothing. 💚🌿
Hi, Tipper!👋 Great garden tour! Y'all have so much deliciousness growing!👍I sprout my beans indoors before planting them outside. Just soak the beans for 20 minutes or so, then put them in between wet paper towels placed in a plastic container. Wrap the container in a large towel, and they will sprout in one or two days. Go ahead and pick those red tomatoes. Let them ripen indoors. The taste won't be any different than ripening all the way on the plant. I kill the squash bugs with soapy water...works great!💕
Not only have you shared the details of your lush and lavish garden, but you have imparted wisdom that cannot be ignored. There are no guarantees in gardening; just like there are no guarantees in life. We are all at the mercy of the Lord Jesus, and we are sometimes forced to trust Him through the process. Today I learned to be unwavering in my determination to persevere against all odds---no matter what!
I have finally got two cucumbers plants to grow from heirloom seeds. Last year they fizzled out. Many baby cucumbers coming as well as okra on 6 plants. I have one baby okra plant from a lone seed I found from last summer. Ate two Cherokee purple so far. Garden, summer and Lord are good to us.
Your gardens are beautiful! This is my 2nd year gardening. Have had some blessings & some failures but I'm learning a lot and your videos are so helpful & inspiring. It's been very dry here too. I'll include you in my prayers for rain. ❤ Sending love from north Alabama.
I don't know why I haven't told you about this but ,when I was a wee lass, we used to take Aluminum pie pans ,poke a hole in it ,put a string through the hole and tie it to a pole. It doesn't matter if it's a stick, pole or what. It worked fine. Love you💖!!
Beautiful corn. Despite the dry spell everything looks good. I could almost smell the earth and your wonderful plants. Thanks for the lovely garden tour!
The gardens are looking happy in spite of the rain deficit. 😊 Binkx is a great addition to your garden. 🐈⬛️ A garden isn't complete without a cat, and he is a wonderful feline specimen!! ❤
I hadn’t heard of Cherokee Purple tomatoes until watching your videos. My husband and I planted some this year and I had my first tomato sandwich yesterday! They are delicious!!! Thank you to you and Matt for sharing your garden plantings techniques. 😊
To God give the Glory for the rain. Not sure if you know yet, but Mrs. Lori is having a hard time with a kidney stone. Mr. Brown just now had an update on where they have been. So praying for her. I just love the bright green next to the dark soil. We got a little rain too. Thank God. Oh no..squash bugs...but your pepper spray works wonders. Garden is still so.beautiful. Enjoy your evening...hug the boys❤❤
Hi TexasGal, Thank you for mentioning Miss Lori. I’ve been keeping her in my prayers also and hoping we get an update soon on how she’s doing. She and Mr. Brown are two of my favorites! Of course, Tipper is totally awesome……..I wish I could meet her someday, but living so far away makes that wish almost impossible! I’m just thankful I found her Utube channel a year ago and can enjoy her daily blogs and vlogs. Blessings, Jackie🪷
@jsellick6468 YES, I have been following them a long time...almost as long as Tipper and I have met the family and they are the same in real life as on You Tube...love them all!
When I was younger, my father worked a few jobs to be able to make ends meet. The hunting, fishing and gardening from our family just made life easier and gave us stuff that we normally couldn't afford or didn't often have. Meat was and still is expensive. Hunting fed us year round. Everything that we canned in the summer lasted throughout the winter and in to the next growing season. When it came to fishing, it was just fun and happened to feed us too. IMHO, I believe it was the best life to live and I wish more people could enjoy it. That is why I love watching your videos. Reminds me of my family. Yes, we could buy it in a store but where is the fun in that and all of the memories that go with it. LOL. Thanks for the video. 🙂
I know how excited y'all feel about the rain. We are in the same boat as you and just another part of the state. Like you when we get a rain it's more of a drip that dries up so quickly we aren't sure we got any. But considering the hurricane season coming our way we aren't gonna complain too much, no sense in tempting things. We'll just water and pray. Thanks for another wonderful video. As always may our Lord bless your family.
Deers are tasty, but they can be real stinkers. I love your optimism, though. And I love your garden, so much beauty and goodness. Thanks for the tour, it was a lot of fun! God bless y'all!
Hey Tipper, you're absolutely right. There's nothing better than rain to make your gardens grow. Rain from Hurricane Beryl is here in Michigan. I'm very thankful for the few inches of rain in my area, but towns nearby and closest to the rivers are flooded with their vehicles under water. I will pray for some rain and the gardens to flourish like the dickens.
Happy you got some rain. Your garden looks beautiful & your flowers too…I planted some nasturtium, they came up but after they got about 3-4 in high, just looked like they were stunted…they eventually died…I really wanted to see if I like them in my salads..after this heat passes maybe I will try again….❤ prayers for Granny/your whole family ❤
Some years Tipper my cone flowers don’t grow. Mine didn’t grow this year but bloomed last year..so they are picky perennials .I think the heat dome this year made mine say forget it 😂
Yes, here in eastern central Indiana, we got rain! We needed it badly, praise God! I'm so thankful you got rain too! Your gardens look amazing! I enjoy you and your entire family so much, the twins, the babies, Granny, you, and Matt make my day brighter. Thank you, God bless you and yours❤🙏🙏❤
Hi Tipper & Matt, We're in the lower middle south of TN. We had gotten some rain last night as well. We were just as thankful and grateful to get what the Lord gave. Our garden is coming along strong Tomorrow, I'll be starting to put up tomatoes. They're so many that we've harvested. I thoroughly enjoy watching you 2 when I'm able. Take care. God Bles you and your precious family.
Try putting a transistor radio in your garden to deter the deer. You could put on some long-winded political commentators for fun. I think the trick to conquering the deer issue is to use a combination of strategies. The radio. Scarecrows. Wind chimes. The shiny ribbons. Electric fencing. You could put one of those bug zappers that make noise.
Thank you for the tour of the garden. I am praying for more rain for you this week. We got a very good rain one night this week (here in Floyd county Georgia). God BLESS all of you. 😊😊
So happy that you got rain 🌧️ at your house we got a lot of rain last night here in Ohio actually we was under a tornado watch for several hours we were lucky we just got a lot of heavy rain your garden is absolutely beautiful God bless you have a great day
Your gardens are looking great! I don't have to fight the bugs since I started using the copper wire. Also, my garden is fenced so don't have the problems y'all have. I remember how frustrating it was dealing with all the garden invaders! God bless you all. I live your videos!

God's rain is full of minerals so watering just doesn't measure up. I would be happy just to have fresh tomatoes. Thank you for sharing

Your vlogs like this are such a genuine joy in a world which can at times be stressful and overwhelming. Thank you immensely for making them.

Yay, I'm glad ya'll got some rain. I really enjoyed going with you through the garden. It's awesome. God bless ya'll ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Your garden is beautiful Tipper. I can't tell where it begins and ends. It goes on n on .... may the Lord send you tons rain softly.
Thank you Rhonda!!
Garden is beautiful. Yard flowers are beautiful. Marigolds around garden
I think it’s in some people’s DNA to grow things and be delighted with the magic and wonder of it .
I like how you try to find solutions to the bugs, deer, rain (or lack thereof), etc. I like that you dream and plan year round. I love that you do your best, but ultimately leave it to God. I loved your “how dare you” comment to the bug.😂😂😂
I know nothing about zinnias, but your lovely description of their beauty, and being so easy to grow, inspires me to seek some out. They really are pretty.
You have arrived as a gardener when when you enjoy the process as much as the bounty.😊
We put up a 4 foot high chickenwire fence with a few green metal posts.
No deer damage and the birds love to perch on it!

My parents, 89 & 91, from Eastern KY love greasy beans and white half runners! They're both delicious 😋
It's SO WONDERFUL and healthy how much food you can grow for your family. It's the best actually 😁💙💚
I think the corn looks wonderful. Thank you so much Tipper. I love touring your garden. ❤

White sweet potatoes are my favorite too!!
So good 😊

My flowers are drying up i pray for rain soon.
I hope you get some!

Love that outlook and those memories 😊
I know how excited y'all feel about the rain. We are in the same boat as you and just another part of the state. Like you when we get a rain it's more of a drip that dries up so quickly we aren't sure we got any. But considering the hurricane season coming our way we aren't gonna complain too much, no sense in tempting things. We'll just water and pray. Thanks for another wonderful video. As always may our Lord bless your family.
Love your garden! It’s so peaceful! Praying the Lord blesses it mightily! God bless y’all! 😀❤️🙏🏻
The corn looks good! I'd love to see you get some good watermelons, I know how much you enjoy them Tipper. We got a little rain here in WV today too.
Thank you Tony 😊
Praying and Blessed! 🤗🙏💕🌄☔
Enjoyed the field trip with lots of new ideas. Thank you for sharing your garden experiences
❤
Some years Tipper my cone flowers don’t grow. Mine didn’t grow this year but bloomed last year..so they are picky perennials .I think the heat dome this year made mine say forget it 😂
Yes, here in eastern central Indiana, we got rain! We needed it badly, praise God! I'm so thankful you got rain too! Your gardens look amazing! I enjoy you and your entire family so much, the twins, the babies, Granny, you, and Matt make my day brighter. Thank you, God bless you and yours❤🙏🙏❤
I’m glad you got rain! Thank you 😊
Hi Tipper & Matt,
We're in the lower middle south of TN. We had gotten some rain last night as well. We were just as thankful and grateful to get what the Lord gave. Our garden is coming along strong
Tomorrow, I'll be starting to put up tomatoes. They're so many that we've harvested. I thoroughly enjoy watching you 2 when I'm able. Take care. God Bles you and your precious family.
I’m so glad you got some rain! Thank you 😊
You could put some pumpkin seeds in the area you didn’t plant. Free decoration for the fall.
I’m glad you got some rain ☔️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🫂❤️
Thank you 😊
Try putting a transistor radio in your garden to deter the deer.
We got a very good rain one night this week (here in Floyd county
Georgia). God BLESS all of you. 😊😊
thank you 😊
Beautiful garden. Can't wait for Matt's first tomato sandwich ❤❤
So happy that you got rain 🌧️ at your house we got a lot of rain last night here in Ohio actually we was under a tornado watch for several hours we were lucky we just got a lot of heavy rain your garden is absolutely beautiful God bless you have a great day
Thank you 😊 glad you are okay
Loved your tour of your garden and we are thankful for a little rain also ❤️
Your gardens are looking great!
I don't have to fight the bugs since I started using the copper wire. Also, my garden is fenced so don't have the problems y'all have. I remember how frustrating it was dealing with all the garden invaders!
God bless you all. I live your videos!
Thank you 😊
Grateful for the rain! NW Tennessee got a good watering from the hurricane. My flowers are so perked up. Blest be.
Wonderful! Thank you 😊
Great, fun video! Love your garden. It is such a soothing feeling to garden! Great therapy!
Tipper I love your top, you look lovely in those colors! Between the heat and lack of rain our garden has given us very little this year.
Looking good! Thanks for the tour
