BAGHRIR (MOROCOAN PANCAKE) - recipe with an extremely light and soft dough- 100% successful and easy

  • Today I am going to share Baghrir recipe with you. A very light pancake style dough for breakfast or snacks. You can apply on it melted butter and honey. I hope you try and like it
    Ingredients:
    2 cups semolina (pasta flour) (250 gr)
    1 glass of flour (100 g)
    1 tablespoon of instant yeast (10 g)
    1 dessert spoon of sugar (6 g)
    1 dessert spoon of salt (12 g)
    3.5 glasses of water (700 ml)
    1 pack of baking powder (10 g)
    Preparation of
    1. Put 2 glasses of semolina ( 250 gr) in a bowl,
    2. add 1 cup of flour (100 g),
    3. 1 tablespoon of instant yeast (10 g),
    4. 1 dessert spoon of sugar (6 g),
    5. Add 1 dessert spoon of salt (12 g) and mix.
    6. Add slowly a total of 3.5 cups of water (700 ml) and mix well.
    7. Use the mixer for few secondes,
    8. Put 1 packet of baking powder (10 gr) on it and mix it again.
    9. If the volume of the mixer is small, divide this step into 2.
    10. Put the pan on the stove and heat it,
    11. Use a ladle to pour,
    12. At first keep the fire high until the dough gets holes,
    13. Then low the fire and cook for a few more seconds.
    14. Follow the same process until all the dough is used up.
    15. The bottom of the baghrir must not be fried.
    16. Place Baghrir on a serving plate, pour honey and melted butter on it . Enjoy your meal
    Its prefered to make the moroccan tea next to baghrir.
    I was able to make 10 baghrirs from these Ingredients.
