    That's the style hockey that made the Canucks successful this season. If they continue to play like that next game, they've got a great chance of closing out the series and not having to return home to a game seven.

      They looked like the team that dominated in the first half of the season: more shots, more puck control, more everything, really. They are also becoming very comfortable in close games, no panic.

      @@MrLos1999 you can leave your feet. You can not charge INTO a player and leave your feet. The announcers, former hockey commentators, former refs commenting all thought it was strange. You don't have that type of reaction when it's so obvious and not confusing.

    J.T. Miller is gonna make for one hell of a coach once his playing days are over. He is an outstanding player who always gives it his all especially when it matters most.

    SO glad to hear Pettersson's name in the commentator's lips so much. He was in plays SO much more tonight. that penalty against him was garbage - was soo hyped to see him more engaged and involved so much more.

      @@TheSkruds we got the oilers on the ropes, might as well finish right then and there. If we loose the game we are just giving them the momentum back to them in the series. Either way the Canucks played well and kept Mcdavid and Draisaitl at bay.

    Wooooo! No passengers tonight! Canucks played a very good game up and down the ice, for practically the full 60 minutes! Great effort by everybody and special shoutout to the PK going 5/5 with only 3 SOG allowed. The Vancouver Canucks Are Good! LFG Boys!!

    I think Tocchet’s lineup changes , especially putting Petey on the wing with Lindholm and Hoglander , really helped Petey get going.

    Mr Petterson is a fantastic player who is struggling with confidence but hopefully this game will boost his confidence.
    Mr Petterson is NOT comfortable in these press conferences.
    Well done to the team and let's hope Game 6 is just as exciting and the Canucks come away with the win.

    That Petey penalty was like, WTF? A charging penalty when he was basically standing still at the blue line and the Edmonton player came crashing into him from behind? Some of these officials. Yeesh.

      A Minor or Major penalty shall be imposed on a player who skates, JUMPS INTO or charged an opponent in ANY manner.
      May not seem like a charge and it was really weak but sadly, it was the correct call for the ref to make.

      It’s called communication. They’re professionals. It’s important for the coach to know where their leaders’ heads are at. It determines how a coach chooses to draw up strategies.

      What makes you think that? They got their ass kicked tonight. If not for 5 power plays they couldn’t get any O - time. Shut down by a great effort by the Canucks defence. Hemmed in their half of the ice most game. McCrybaby and Craisaitl are looking tired. Especially Draisaitl. Maybe because he uses too much energy whining to the referee.
