As my new shallow aquarium was READY, I needed a stand for it ASAP.
I didn’t want to spend much on the stand, and I love DIY stuffs, so I made a minimalist concrete stand for the shallow tank.
I’m not a professional, so I hope I didn’t make any mistakes in the process, and the aquarium will stay in one piece.
Not much things were needed: 8 concrate blocks, a few beams, some boards and of course plenty of screws and patience.
Fortunatelly I have lots of tools, so it only took a couple of afternoons to finish the stand.
This is not a tutorial, I just wanted to show you how I made it.
I hope I can inspire you and give you some ideas with this unusual video. Have fun.
Ooooh.. I forgot to mention it cost around $120.

I really like your stand. Concrete and wood are always great companions. I appreciate ow you made certain to stabilize each part of the stand with bolts and screws. I can't wait to see how you scape the tank, which I LOVE. Your cat and dog are beautiful. Thank you for always creating lovely videos. You are an inspiration to all of us.
Can't believe i'm watching a vid on how to stack cinder blocks and wood.
He did a bit more than just that mate
Yeah, you're forgetting about all the holes he drilled! Don't forget about the holes
I came for the 2:15 shot
Enjoyed watching it :) Hope to see the full room soon. Insanely work in there.
That "mise en scène" is just perfect! As always. Bravo mate

The safest and best work shoes money can buy! lol
MD ur here tooo
Awesome way to seriously class up and make a structurally sound stand out of the classic concrete block method we have all probably done before. Incredible job, can't wait to see the scape.
How much more effective is bolting the blocks than leaving them alone? Or even just using construction glue.
very artistic and creative work. Very cool stand. cant wait to see the rest of your new gallery! we are anxious!
love the way u made it looks so beautifullllll
Magnifique !! Hope to see the full room soon and make aquascape :)
Yay new video! Clicked and couldn’t watch longer than 0:25 to see that kitty 🥰
Beautiful 👏! Now can’t wait to see how you scape the tank 👍😍
Man that looks fasntastic! Concrete and Wood can work so well together :) Now im excited to see the scape !
The wood looks awesome! 🪓
Tight work... the stand looks sharp can't wait to see the scaped tank next.
Dope stand! Can’t imagine how heavy it must be tho
A good stand is heAvy one
Heavy enough to stop a cat, which appeared to be the necessary criteria. 😉
@@khills More like a tiger ....LOL
Super cool build, and somehow, a relaxing video....but my fave part was the sweet pup snuggle! 💘
The stand is great but the build quality on that aquarium is just amazing, god I wish to have something like that. Some day... :)
Very nice stand, inspirational. Thank you for making this video.
Greetings from Cumbria in the UK.
Beautiful sturdy aquarium stand.
I love it!!! It looks perfect!

Amazing job 😍 good luck for the rest of work to your new studio ! ✌️
Awesome stand - it is beautiful... I love rustic furniture...
Man i love your light and shadow in all your video so well done!
Wow 😮 it looks incredible ❤️🦈
This is a really nice idea bro, a lot of of people want to poke fun at the fact it looks simple to make but they are also more then likely the same people who have never built anything themselves, ever.
geniooo! the Direction of photografy lives in your eyes
love the modern look. 😊
can't wait for the set up of the tank
Big stand big projects glad to see content again✌😋
I was waiting for a new video!
The size of the tank is so attractive!!
ikr, wide shallow tanks are very interesting!
Cool stand! I like your style, man! I have a Dachshund too! My last dachshund lived to be 16! Keep the vids coming, they're dope!
great idea. great job💪
That's great idea and design! 👍
DIY:
Step 1: buy several hundred dollars worth of woodworking equipment and a drill that can penetrate concrete.
Step 2: cinderblock furniture.
Most drills gecan "penetrate" concrete... you just need the correct bit.
still cheaper than ADA filter
Few years back I also made a concrete block stand for my aquarium. I just used silicone to fix every thing. As long as no one is going to pull it down, it will be just fine.
@@human__________ everything is cheaper than ADA.
Thanks for sharing this great tips !!!
Yesssss look who’s backkkk!

You're so artistic!
Very nice, good job
Me at 5 seconds - "Hmm, i'll probably skip through this one a bit...."
Me at 2 mins - "I'm strangely bought in....."
Me at 7 mins - "Aah yeah, I've watched it all...." 😂
I love 💕 it!!!
You my friend are king!
Very Cool!
Clean as Hell! That is how you make a bad ass aquarium stand on a budget. Much thanks for the idea, and great work, sub'd.
Loved it
Nagyon jó lett! :)
Great content! I will do that on my own, greetings from Poland :D
That's so cool nice idea simple looking...
Nice work!
You can glue them blocks together, wood as well (liquid-nail Fuze-it).. do not need the carriage bolts. The weight is going to keep it in place as long as it's level.
He's thinking about future ;) disassembly bro
Great Idea
Great aquarium stand
gorgeous
Super Vid. Nice. Great Job. 👌
Hello, I love your stand, really beautiful. Can you tell me where you found blocks of this type because they look very well finished which is not usually the case.
What do you think maximum volume can we put on this kind of stand ?
Parabéns aqui direto do Brasil (Brasil) Love It
Awesome video 👌
Awesome bro I might do this
Put vedios on every week
Excited to see
Pls
nice doggo too!
Perfect Man 👍
beautiful.
Awesome
Hey Guys, I want to do something similar to this but I'm afraid the bricks might crumble. I got a 90p tank so that itself is about 300kg and I'm also planning on putting a granite top. the current wooden table I have doesn't have support in the middle and I can already see it bending in the middle (lucky I caught this before the full setup was done). any suggestion?
BTW I love the look of the wood and concrete mix here. gives it a nice calm feeling that wood ;)
Stack them properly, holes up. This can hold a ton easily. You can even put two next to each other. These can hold a roof, your aquarium is not a heavy weight for it. Peace
Very nice and impressive work, want to build yourself and right now.
Amazing
dammnnnnn! This is awesome.
Cool !!!
Excellent.
damn, bro. nice job!
I Love work, so beautiful
cool!
Where is the part that shows the bracing of the floor joists and bearers ? lol.
Must admit , it does look quite " modern industrial " , which is quite pleasing to the eye.
What kind of glaze did you use? It looks beautiful.
@5:00 whoa man, that countersunk screw coupled with that music? I’m surprised RUclips allows that with pixelation
Amazing!! Poor bit at 5:10 😂
NICE 👍
Wow!!!!
Cool bro... 👍👍👍👍👍
What kind of mat did you use? Was it the PIG grippy adhesive mat type stuff?
Hualll toppp ... muito bom 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇧🇷🇧🇷
Cool
Any idea what did he use to protect the wood? Was it lacquer? Wood stain?
Looks good. BUT, cinder blocks are designed to stack upright not sideways. For best structural support. And bolts are not needed. Weight of full tanks is more than enough. VISIT. Aquarium Co OP on how to build a functional stand.
Joli travail😉
