Wishing you the best in your job with your brother. You gotta do what you gotta do, what is best for you, Sue, and family. I’m sure your brother is happy to have you with him. Keep safe! 😃.
Congratulations on the job. Sounds like you're liking it. Thank heavens for the splinter, makes it lots easier. I bet you can save the greenhouses. I would absolutely try. Yes, those veggies do come back. 🙂👍
Kale ,Swiss chard , parsley will come back for 2/3 years they are biennial ( 2 yr life cycle) chard maybe bitter. You can also save the seeds or they might reseed themselves if you leave them be and just water.
Gotta love that wind lol. Took out ours as well. Back to the drawing board and figure out what we can do to hold up to spring winds. I will get back to you when I figure that out lol. I am guessing welded steal or something.
I owned a carpet cleaning and restoration business for 30 years, retired now and wish I could still do it. The mind says yes, but body says no way dude!
Good on the job, and doing something that you know is a bonus. A little extra income is not a bad thing. And yes the early spring winds are upon us. I lost about 1 square of shingles on the weekend of March 2nd and 3rd as we had sustained winds of 35+ for 40 hours with gusts into the low 60s. I love spring out here but ease up with the winds a bit would be better. Thanks for sharing as always. Peace Out.
Welcome to March winds. Living in Northern Minnesota I have to take my greenhouse covers off every winter or snow and wind will destroy them. Then I put the covers back on in May.
It's very windy here in LV today too. It took me many years to adjust to the wind in the desert. So sorry, it is taking down you greenhouses. How nice you get to do restoration work. It must be so satisfying. How does Scout take you leaving her while you work? I will bet she wants to go. Hugs...
Good Luck with the New Job. I Do Some Stuff on the Side too. I Do Laser Engraving. It's a little Hobby, I get Requests from People to Engrave stuff and it's something I can Do.

Get a greenhouse strap to put over the top to keep the plastics intact. Maybe put some fence up next to the greenhouse to slow the winds down.

I think only real built structures will do
The winds are ridiculous here too 💨🌬
Good luck with your new job. I'll miss you.👍👍
Glad me and Homie don't have to work that hard ! That would interfere with our daily nap schedule !😉.

Life finds a way 😊
I've seen people reinforce those greenhouse structures with PVC pipes and joints slipped over the pipes
These winds are relentless -I've heard people talk about them but you almost have to experience them to appreciate the damage they can do 🙏🙏❣️
congratulations on the new job 😊
Thank you!! 😊
