Grate Video I Like that you are using picture in you descriptions. On how you wood like it to sound.
I find when I describe to the Guys/Girls that I am training. If i can use thing that they have experienced and used before like a sprinkle system. for example.
    1. Mane hose is the mic and mic cable in to the tap/ gain Controls.
    2. EQ witch is like your filtration.
    3. Dynamics section witch is like is like a pressure washer.
    4. Mix bus witch is your like disruption to other parts of the system. Speakers on stage.
    5. Mane faders to FOH.
I fined is seams less scary and they get behind the consoles faster and start learning what I have showed them.
Fill free to use this example.
Sorry for my Gramma and Spelling.
Grace and Peace be with you all.

What is the gate setting on the kick?

    • @WorshipSoundGuy

So there’s a weird thing on the X-32 gate where low frequencies cause it to make a “click” sound if the attack is set too fast. So normally I’d set a gate as fast as it’ll go, but on the X-32 I’ll slow it down a little until that click sound goes away. Just a couple milliseconds should do it, but just be careful to listen for that weird click.
For release, it all depends on how you want to shape the decay of the drum. If you want a longer and more resonant kick, you can lengthen the release to achieve that. But if you want a quicker, snappier kick with less sustain, you can make the release faster to cut out some of that decay.
The release times can vary by a few hundred ms depending on how you want to shape the kick, but deciding if you want a longer or a shorter kick sound will help you dial that in for your mix/room.
