- Yeah Happy Halloween and all that here's a tier list of every cave sound in Minecraft. Hope you all enjoyed. Thanks for tuning in for anything I do, big or small.
Wish I could have put more work into this video, but time and life and wanting to get it out by Halloween. Hope I can be forgiven.

This just scratches the surface.
The Nether Update added nether cave sounds, and even spookier, Update Aquatic added water ambience, which I personally find to be 10 times more unsettling.
If I had been more proactive and not started work on this video about 6 days before Halloween I might have included them :(

im glad i found ya lol. lovely list. for me, having these sounds wombo combo u in certain areas *really* can send ya running. ik the "train whistle" sound sounds out of place (pun intended), kinda fits in with the way i interpret Minecraft's modern lore. this idea of, you aint the first, but yet youre all alone. the idea of seeing remnants of human activity, such as mineshafts and shipwrecks, is haunting by themselves. and when caving, hearing ghostly sounds of people lost to time, only to be heard again in the depths that only one person will ever hear again, is creepy. some sounds aint strong, but they deffo help. happy halloween my guy.

The suddleness of Cave 17 is perfect for a horror game where it's turning in to night and 7:28 plays, beasts begin roaming, ambience plays after this, hunting you whilst not knowing your surroundings in the dark of the area, having nowhere to hide, nothing to do. Alone. Helplese. Scared. Out of nowhere one of the beasts find you and jumpscare you. A true horror game.
Ah man 14 is the scariest if your in a dark cave with no torches

I just came up with an evil idea: next time I have a sleepover with a friend, I'm going to play Minecraft's cave sounds at 3 AM... Hehe...

my favorite cave noises are the ones that instinctively make your mind start racing and trying to figure out what that sound could have been, like noise 17. it gives a very vivid scenario in my mind and i love it
btw for anyone wondering, i imagine it as a minecart sliding down a slope and picking up speed before it slams into a wall and loose metal rattles and tries to settle.
Anything that leaves stuff to the imagination is terrifying, in my opinion. Our brains can fill in some spooky gaps

What's funny is everyone that I've met agrees that cave sound 17 is by far the scariest, no contest

cave sound 14 is highest piss myself category for me- on a modded multiplayer the sound played whilst I was building my base and I have never felt so scared on this game in my life
7:28 has got to be the scariest noise in the entire game, that shit would be so scary with the right atmosphere

Cave sound 10 always plays for me as I exit a cave

Cave sound 2 is TERRIFYING. Like angels coming down telling you to be ready because you will die soon. It's my favorite one

Cave 8 is definately high ayo tier. It’s another mood setter but its different in pitch than the others, which makes it more unsettling to hear because you’re used to hearing the other low pitched cave sounds. It sounds like something from FNAW (Five Nights At Wario’s). Which is a low quality game. But high quality sounds and ambience, which still gives an unsettling vibe from just playing the game without fear.
I remember fnaw, the atmosphere was so good
0:31 cave1 is my favorite, for some reason i think it really fits with the Mineshafts, specially in exposed ones

Cave 17 I once got a nightmare when it jumpscared me when an evil man turns into a terrifying monster in a movie and jumpscares you I had a nightmare like that
Cave sound 17 and 10 used to scare the f*** out of me like the squeak of 17 and 10 just scary I used to throw my tablet at the wall hard when it played but now it’s scary to me still but I just sit next to my mom and when I’m alone and that plays I’m scared but I don’t throw my iPad

Cave sound 14 almost gave me a heart attack when I heard it, it was my first cave sound and I was into herobrine at the time so I literally thought I was about to die

10 feels like you make eye contact with... some*thing* and know that it's all fucking over...
8:40 i can definitely hear the enderman but i feel like you can hear chugging of a steam engine speeding across the mines, it seems really out of pocket but there are other tracks that sound like trains derailing or going on tracks
My opinion on 14: it is so scary i litterally get to the surface as fast as i can, it sounds like some sort of demon is chasing you
The first time i heard cave sound 14 i was confused i didn't know cave sounds went for that long
With a surround sound speaker setup , and the fact that these sounds play quite a bit louder than the normal peaceful music. Fuckin horrifying
14 out of piss myself is criminal. That stuff is nightmare fuel, only second to 17 imo

My sis was playing the game on headphones (on max volume, don't ask why), we didn't know that cave sounds exist. She was down in a cave mining away, then suddenly, that cave sound "screeched" into her ear (in her words) at full volume. She didn't touch the game for years because of it xD

i remember making up and talking about rumors about cave sounds like for example that if you hear one herobrine is near you or if u hear one and play disc 11 in a cave herobrine will jumpscare you
If you are playing with the from the fog mod, a cave sound will play whenever you see herobrine. I've been playing it in vr, it's been pretty terrifying and unnerving.

8:08 so, for a friend of mine he just barelly went into a cave when he heard this, and he didn't interpert it as a minecart, but as chains ratling instead, like someone was being tortured
14 is probably the worst one on there, it's not creepy, just annoying

Great content, keep it up, but you might want to tone down your own accent a bit if you can, people would probably find it jarring to open up to a heavy southern accent, especially european or north US viewers
