Instead of erasing a small bit to release the images so you have a red cut line only around the contoured images try "release compound path" on the right click menu. That should release everything and allow you to continue with choosing just the contoured images to have a cut line. I hope that makes sense! I love the Silhouette Studio program it is so much more intuitive than the cricket. Not sure what edition you have but the Business edition is worth the price for all the extra that it does. They usually have a sale around Black Friday where it is half (or almost half) price off.

Hello, Beatriz. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this video... You have made it a lot easier for me, I loved your explanations, everything was so clear and you answered so many questions that I had... Your video has been beneficial to me. VERY! Btw, your art and illustrations are SUPER CUTE, congratulations on your work! I loved it... Also, from all the videos I've seen, you are the only one working on A4 sheets, like me. That was also something I needed. So thank you, deeply!!
Thank you! My Cricut died on me and I had to use someone's Silhouette and it's a completely diff learning curve. I do prefer printing from Cricut as the colors are more vibrant. So I hope I can get this PDF thing figured out. Printing from Photoshop would be so much better than through Silhouette!
Here is a small tip for you; instead of saving the logo and decoration together with your stickers, you can save them separately where you will save the sticker sheet as transparent png, and another png with backround of your logo and small decorations, and then when you upload the two files in the Silhouette Studio you will be able to put the background in the back, and stickers in the front, and only the stickers which were saved without background will have the cut lines. I did this with my Cricut, and now with Cameo 4 also, it saves me so much time. Thank you for amazing video :))
Hii! I used to do that, but how I do it is much faster now and I also don't have to have do many files saved eheh. Thanks for the tip and thank you for watching! 😊

Hello Beatriz!
I go in the expand selection and change the color to blue on each one that i want to cut, and it separates the layers into two, one red, one blue, and that prevents me from cutting letters, decorations, etc as i only cut the blue lines. Also, when you save as png instead of jpg, that tends to make the colors not in cmyk, but in rgb, which is why you have to switch your color profile when making it a pdf.
I do like I explained because I can't select them separatly once I upload the PNG! I print everything in RGB, I did some colours comparation and I don't see a lot of difference. I heard most of house printers are ready to do the conversion automatically, but I can be wrong :)
Thank you so much🥺🤍 it’s really helpful, i was struggling with the color tbh, but you helped me and others who came across this problem. keep it up! I like your drawing style, contents and the tips u gave us r gems. God bless you and wish you all the best. You are truly an inspiring artist 💖💖💖
Hola Bea! Thank you so much for such a complete video! I wanted to ask why you use Photoshop to print an exported PDF, is it because of colors/print quality? I haven't had PS for many years now, and Im wondering if there are any options for Mac. Thanks again and saludos from Costa Rica!
Hiii! It was when I was using my PC, printing from the silhouette studio the colours never turned how I wanted. Now on my Mac I print directly and it doesn’t affect them. So no longer use that method. But if you are having that problem, printing from photoshop really helped me :) and yes you can use it on the Mac as well as other similar programs!
Hello Bea (I hope I spelled your name right). Thank you for sharing your process. I learned a lot. It’s quite challenging to look for a clearer tutorial about Silhouette just like this. Hi April! Don't worry, some people write Bia and other Bea, there's no right way eheh (my name is actually Beatriz, so Bea makes the most sense lol). So so happy it helped! Have you tried to callibrate it manually? I did that in the beggining and it works. Sometimes it can also be needing you to upgrade the firmware of the machine. I was having some of those problems in the beggining, I did all of that and started to cut with the lid closed and it got way better :) You also need to be careful putting the print on the matt, sometimes that can influence the cutting as well! And make sure your printer is not moving the sheet around too much, check the allingments in the printer to make sure the sheet doenst move. Hope it helps! :)
Hi Beatriz, Great Video! I’m wondering in the beginning you say you export from Procreate to another canvas in Procreate. Can you explain step by step how to do that please. What are your thoughts of the #4 version? I have a Mac, so want to be sure it will work well before I buy it
Beatriz, adorei o teu video! :)
Actually I had the cuts thing happen with me as well when I was first trying out the silhouette. It turns out it’s the pdf file and how it’s generated. Silhouette studio basically saves pdfs by converting to image but also by splitting them instead of, for instance like photoshop, saving it in a single image pdf. It also affects the scale and quality! If you’re printing out from a saved pdf and feel like you keep having inaccurate/unaligned cuts it’s most likely because of that. Because what’s on file is a different scale of what’s printed! It’s a minute difference of a few millimeters but it’s enough to get half a sheet go wrong. And if you use procreate generated drawings I advise passing them through photoshop or similar and correct the white levels as there’ll be tiny artifacts when printing even in a white background😭💔
Thank you so much, let's hope this helps someone! 😊 From what I heard that happens to a lot of people even when they send to print on the Silhouette Software on the preview, not exactly only when they put photoshop! 😊
@@dalbibit i hope so! i already contacted the silhouette support team in brazil, but they just dont understand the problem.. :( i'll try to downgrade the version, because the dpi tip didnt work for me.. but thanks for letting us know this trick!
Amazing video Bia! It helped a lot, but i guess the hardest part is to find the right paper... i dont have evergreen goods here in my country (but most of sticker shops i've seen abroad use this brand too), would you recommend any other brand?
Thank you so much Carolina 💛 Yes, finding the right paper is also an important step, for sure! I only used and tried the ones from the video. But recently I bought a glossy vinyl sticker paper from PPD. But you can check in different international Amazon's, sometimes they ship all over the world :)
Heya! Thank you so much for this tutorial, it was so incredibly helpful! I heard so many people struggle with getting their Silhouette to work when they first get it. But your Tutorial was so bullet proof and easily understandable, I made it work the first time I used it on my stickers (excluding the first time where I did not properly click in the blade, haha). Thank you so much! It is also so good to see people making their own products from home
Love your work - thank you for sharing your process how you make things :) I´m wondering if its really so much easier to us the Shilouette than Cricut for a whole A4 page print? I always have to use some annoying hack to print full A4 sticker sheets on my Cricut hmmmm
Thank you so much for watching! 💛 I think on the Silhouette you can use a lot more space in a A4 sheet than with Cricut. But I never used one, so I don't know for sure :)
It’s procreate on the iPad right? How did you transfer the file to your pc? Can you just use the cord or was there another method? I realize this is probably basic but oddly it’s the part I’m unsure of since I’ve never done that. The rest I have an idea for…

@@aPenasIllustrator Me desculpe pela confusão!
Hiii! It's a really good tutorial, thank you! But i have 2 questions of your process: 1. Why do you work in RGB? and not in CMYK? If you are printting the image? 2. I have tried to optimize the format by having the greatest number of sticker sheets in the layout, however my cameo does not read the registration marks if I have a cut or drawing mark on the hatching around the registration marks. Do you have any tips to make it work for you? Thank you very much!
I work on Procreate, working in CMYK makes the colours very different. I use the things I do a lot for digitally, like portfolios and such, so I choose to work on RGB because of that as well. I did some tests and the colours dont change that much, most home prints are ready for that. You have to leave some milimiters to the cutting marks, otherwise the machine won't cut! 😊
thank you so muuuuuuch! this has been really helpful ♥ i'm starting my little business and this solved some doubts i had ^^ i still have to figure out the color settings for my printer. Could you make a video about different kind of papers? if it is possible ♥ thanks again!
Do you need the additional software add Ons for silhouette? I’d decided on a silhouette over a cricut after seeing this or one you’re other videos. But while checking proces seen you can also buy additional software? Does this mean you can only do so much with a silhouette machine unless you buy the extra software? I know for cricut it’s all free youd just pay for the extra designs kinda thing.
Heeeey! There’s a paid version of the silhouette studio, but for regular work is not needed! Only if you need to cut with more than one machine at the same time and it’s a one time payment. But so far I never had to get it, the free software is enough :)
I noticed you have your design in the crosshatch part of the registration marks…Does it not confuse the cutter being too close to the registration marks?
How did you prevent pixelated stickers, I changed the setting on procreate and it looks great. Once I transfer them too silhouette it shows a lot of pixels TIA
How off was your colour printing from silhouette? My first prints are totally off but then again my printer and Cameo 4 and sticker paper are all new and untested. Did you have to do any special calibrations in photoshop?
They were really off, no matter I changed the setting for the printers it didn't changed a lot when printing from there 🤭 I do the calibrations on the printer settings but printing in photoshop makes all the difference. I posted a studio vlog recently showing all my printer settings, if you want to check it out!

But you can check in different international Amazon's, sometimes they ship all over the world :)
thanks very informative! hi from PHILIPPINES! ♥
Thank you so much for watching! :D
OMG thank you so much for this. I finally found the perfect tutorial
Glad it can help! :D
Life saver! Thank you for this video.
Great video!
Yay, this comment makes me so happy! Thank you so much for the kind words, really means a lot! :D
The rest I have an idea for…
Hiii! When I used procreate and a computer I always used Google drive to transfer the files 🥰💛
@@aPenasIllustrator thank you. Is that the only option or just your favourite?
@@silverlining_1995 it was the easier option at the time, since otherwise I think maybe just with cable or wetransfer?
Great video. You covered everything!
Thank you so much! I tried to make it the most complete as possible, glad it helps 💛
Thank you so much for details 🦋
Glad to help! Thank you for watching! :D

Aww, you are welcome, thank you so much for watching 💛 and thank you for the sweet comment!
Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial!!!
Thank you so much for watching!
Great video, thank you for this! - May I ask what material you have the cut settings on ? I have this paper, but I am struggling so hard to cut my own stickers! - will try these settings though!
I have custom settings for the paper I use, it depends on the sticker paper.. I have some vinyl stickers I have to pass 3 times to cut it all of eheh
Have you ever had any big issues with colors for printing? Like the digital version looks incredible compared to the printed one?
Not anything that I coudnt fix with changing the paper or changing the printing settings. The print you have makes a whole difference!
amazing video thank you!!
@@rebeca3629 thank you so much for watching! 🥰
Brilliant, thanks so much for this!
Thank you so much, that really means a lot! 🥰
thank you so muuuuuuch! this has been really helpful ♥ i'm starting my little business and this solved some doubts i had ^^ i still have to figure out the color settings for my printer. Could you make a video about different kind of papers? if it is possible
♥ thanks again!
Very helpful thank you ❤️
Muchas gracias! Tu video me ha ayudado mucho :)
I knew you where Portuguese 💕🌸 Ola tambem so 😊
Olaaaaa!! 😊 Ehehe, verdade 🥰💛🌼
Amazing video - thank you so much. :)
@@aPenasIllustrator ah , thank you so much. I couldn’t find anything on what you can and couldn’t do with the free or paid software.
@@aoife3636 no worries! If you just want to cut stickers, free is more than enough! :)
Plus I’m hooked to your channel
Eheh thank you 🥰💛🌈
Thank you for the tutorials. You are so cute too hope you don't mind my saying
Thank you!
Thank you for explaining! but the machine
You're welcome!
I noticed you have your design in the crosshatch part of the registration marks…Does it not confuse the cutter being too close to the registration marks?
Not really, I always print the designs like this and it's all good :)
Thank you so much for this video (T^T)/ I feel more smart and can fianlly try it out my self!
hi hello nice helpful video thanks
your smile is very beautifull i love you
How did you prevent pixelated stickers, I changed the setting on procreate and it looks great. Once I transfer them too silhouette it shows a lot of pixels TIA
It happens when printed? Never had that problem. Try to install other versions of the Silhouette studio, sometimes it helps fixing some issues!
Hi 👋 love your video
Thank you so much for watching 💛
thank you n.n
Hello :) Thank you so much for this helpfull tutorial
Lol, I found it, haha :) It was all about importing PNG setting. :D :)
Ehehe, glad you found the solution! Sorry for taking so long to answer 💛
@@aPenasIllustrator No worries at all! Thank you for your response!
is it okay to be on the grey grid since your sheet is over that
How off was your colour printing from silhouette? My first prints are totally off but then again my printer and Cameo 4 and sticker paper are all new and untested. Did you have to do any special calibrations in photoshop?
They were really off, no matter I changed the setting for the printers it didn't changed a lot when printing from there 🤭 I do the calibrations on the printer settings but printing in photoshop makes all the difference. I posted a studio vlog recently showing all my printer settings, if you want to check it out!
Hello ... I just found your channel and I would love if you could put your titles in Spanish. It would be ideal!!
