First time I heard Carl was about 1958--he was a HS student @ Rancho High, LV, NV. He knocked me out. Shortly after, I converted my trumpet into a lamp shade.

Carl's uncle was Bobby Sherwood who I played sax with years ago when Carl was a teenager.
