It’s a good idea to wrap the doll in Saran Wrap and cut the holes the layers after they are baked so you don’t tear up the cake pushing the doll into all those layers! Just a tip this is 2021 😀

The brand I use is by “ Caroline’s sugar art services “ in the colour SHIMMER WHITE and SHIMMER PINK . It’s my favourite go to lustre as they are just the right pigments especially for a light shine :) . There are also other good brands such as “ the red spoon “ , “ rainbow dust “, “ Faye Cahill “ . Generally most lustre shimmer brands should do the trick however be sure to not get petal dust as petal dust is not shiny . It’s the “ lustre shimmer “ that gives the metallic look. Hope that helps :) Hannah x
Also I would say you can make it up to a week in advance as sugar is a natural preservative it can be kept for a long time :) just store away from dust
Hello Lovely, i used Wilton Sky Blue and for other fondants such as the red one i bought red satin ice or you can also use red bakels fondant too . Some colours like red and black are harder to achieve so irecommend getting them pre purchased. For purple, the best colour i find is by "Sugar Flair Grape Violet". In my opinion the purple is most nicest in that colour range.
