I know there are lot of airline options from JFK to London Heathrow. Did you guys wantedly choose Virgin Atlantic over British, American, Delta, JetBlue? Or was it the cheapest option?
We purchased these tickets last minute and they were approx. $400 per person round trip. Cost and timing of flight were the primary reasons but we have been trying to experience a new airline for a while and we love A330-900neo, So all in all, all the stars were aligned for this particular booking.
if that run it again next year excited to try this route using Capital One or Amex transfer miles. Looks as good as I imagined and always heard. Only thing hope a lounge is open in the terminal we use. BTW we just had a Frontier flight attendant say a few days ago they have been told running the new A321XLT to Ireland in 2026! And sounded like from ISLIP
This trip was booked using Chase Sapphire Reserve. We also used Frontier Airlines points to book a $1,000 flight for 4 for only $44. So where we can we do use miles and points and share on this channel
I was also talking about alliances because Virgin Atlantic is now apart of The SkyTeam Alliance which has Delta, Air France-KLM, Korean Air as its main airlines, but yeah interesting
