Irtiza Quraishi is a quintessential ’Purani Dilliwala’. He loved the place and people, was always thinking and working on how to bring relief to the chaos that defines the urban ghetto called Shahjahanabad aka ‘Old Delhi’, aka ‘Purani Dilli’ aka ‘Delhi-6’.
But his spirits got dampened due to the ever increasing pressure of foot fall owing to various factors. Finally he gave up and decided to go far away from the maddening city life to find peace in the lap of woods, live water streams, hills and clear open skies, not to mention the AQI never going beyond 4-5. Here he covers all the aspects of City Life versus Village Life possible in India.
This episode also pans his thoughts and actions behind the adventurous DIY life he has chosen deep inside the lush green Karnataka.

A tonne of people have been asking me for years to do something of my own.
Well, this is what I came up with.
I am here to talk about everything under the sun, above the sun.
It is a platform to showcase the most remarkable- an ordinary human, full of joy, pain, frustration and hope because it is important to record what one thinks about the times one exists.
If you have a story inside or around you, we are all ears.
I wish this conversation reached all the politicians, bureaucrats, town planners, policymakers; and particularly Delhi lobbyists! Wise up India/ Delhi 🙏

This video could also be seen as alternative aesthetics. It reminds me of Thomas Hardy’s novels. This video suggests a step back from urban congestion to rural landscape and the latter’s advantages. This is totally a different cup of tea in comparison to current craze for farm houses.

Shayad jitna likhna chahti hun wo likhne ke liye ek ghanta lag jaaye..lekin itna waqt abhi nikalna mushkil hai...short me Irtiza ki tarah maine bhi forest ke pas zameen li aur thore thore din me wahan kuchh apne hatho se karu ye sapna tha...dur se pahadi dikhti hai..zameen ke samne se Delhi taraf ki train jati hai..railway line ki dusri taraf 200ft dur river hai aur river se 0.4km highway ajata hai.
