Around here they get crazy with their undercover cars. There is no possible way that you could tell it's a cruiser until he's already got you. For instance there is a blue Kia, a fire engine red shelbie mustang, and a mid 80's ford (and i draw a blank when i try to think of the damn name lol). And those are just the ones i know about.
@emersondavis yes. you can not use the red and blue flashing "police" lights while driving if your not an emergency vehicle licensed by the government . If you put demo vehicle on it cops would be less likely to pull you over and ask what the lights are used for. (Your able to see the lights even when they are off.)
I've seen demo vehicles and also movie vehicles with lights installed with no trouble from the law. Don't worry though, anyone that uses them and pretends to be a cop will be arrested for a felony and will end up in jail, it's just a matter of time. As long as they're used responsibly you'll be fine. =)
dude in minnesota i have seen them use older cars with lights people are not expecting and 93 dodge caravan to pull them over. and it works i see it pullin them over all the time it is crazy.
@undertake782 what is undercover lights? and they can have them installed but they are NOT allowed to turn them on, or they can be issued a ticket for it. But if someone wants to think they are cool, then go for it.
I guess it's different where you live, the laws are different here, if you are on your own property you can have any colour lights on your car you want, as long as you don't drive it on the road with the lights on.
ok if u could i have an idea have side lights inside like get a light bar small put it on the back doors and make them stay still when your surching like have one all sides of car and one in sides u searching sown a alyway u can turn them to still and it becomes a flash light
actually undercover cops do use lights, how else do they pull people over??? the one in the middle looks the best, with the alternating headlights and the strobes in the window
only if he uses them on the road, and tries to use it to clear traffic. If he is doing for personal use of course, if it is for a police department that is fine, or even a movie really. But like he can have those in his driveway forever, as long as her doesn't impersonate an officer
So you can put flashing blue and red spotlights on your property, buf if you have your car on your property you can't have flashing red and blue lights on it? I can't see how they could even try to argue that in court against you, I think it's BS and you'd win. What if you shone red and blue spotlights AT your car? Is that illegal?
i dont know why you got a thumbs down but ya it is illegal to even own a set of those lights... at least in georgia if you have them in your car your in deep shit
I would cry if I was caught by an unmarked van, lol. No more speeding from me, I hope!
finally sombody who has a conversion van outfitted with police lights. i thought i was the only one.
Your conversion van is sick! I've got a similar one...unfortunatly without your modifications...
