Excellent product, as advertised. Be aware that the working time is very short, just 4-5 minutes. Completely prepare the project -- remove dirt and loose debris by brush or vacuum, wet the surface with a spray bottle, etc -- before mixing with water. Due to the short working time, it may be best to mix smaller quantities and work in smaller manageable areas, rather than one large area. When done, water the surface with spray bottle and cover with a damp rag for at least an hour, or even overnight. It'll come out amazing.
I'm trying to get consistent grey color with Rapid Set Cement All to resurface cement stepping stones I recently made. Thank You Great Product/versatile
Hi James. Here are a few helpful tips when adding color to Cement All. • Blend the color into the water first. Blend well with a paddle mixer and then add Cement All. • Mix Cement All with the water and color for a full minute with a paddle mixer. • Finishing/troweling can also affect the final color. Hard troweling will seal the surface and usually results in a darker color. • Adding a sealer to the finished surface may also darken and unify the final color and finish. Please let us know if you have further questions. Thank you for choosing Rapid Set.
Is there any reason I can't use Cement All on concrete that was hand-poured 3 weeks ago? It's a small shed foundation that has a somewhat rough surface. I want to smooth it out and give it a more professional appearance. Of course I'll knock off all loose material first and only apply it to solid concrete.
Yes. You can add up to four 2oz bags of Flow Control per 55lbs bag of Cement All. Check out the video from Houseful of Handmade on their DIY kitchen countertop. They have a RapidSet representative in the video explaining the product.
I know its not necessary but would adding a bonding agent/fortifier (aka BASF Acryl60) make it even stronger? This is a great product, ive used it many times with excellent results.
The Acryl60 can increase the strength of the Cement All if you use it and reduce the mixing water per bag. A lower water cement ratio will give you higher strengths. Adding the Acryl60 will also increase your bond strength. If you have further technical questions, please send your contact details to info@ctscement.com and we can have one of our local technical reps reach out. Thank you for choosing Rapid Set!

Does it have to be liquid or powder? 3. If you use the Set Control powder does that mean that you have to keep the concrete wet for longer than an hour? I just would like to know the main differences are between the mixes. Thanks so much! When I found this on You Tube I had been searching for answers to these questions for several days. I was surprised and pleased to see that the actual manufacture of Rapid Set was actually answering questions.
Hello KG, Rapid Set Cement All is the smoothest mix that contains our Rapid Set CSA Cement (CSA = calcium sulfoaluminate) and a silica sand mix for very smooth finishes. You can use powder or liquid integral color with our mixes. Please be sure to measure the amount of color you put into each batch so your colors stay consistent. If you use the SET Control in the Mix, it will extend your working time. That being said, you will not start water curing until the mix starts to cure. When you use one pouch of SET Control, it will extend your working time by 15-25 minutes. This means that the curing process will be delayed by that amount of time as well. The overall curing time will not be extended. Once this starts to heat up and cure, the time will be close to the same regarding the water curing time needed. The difference between the Concrete Mix and the Mortar Mix is basically the aggregate included with the cement. The Concrete Mix has a 3/8 pea gravel, washed plaster sand, and Rapid Set CSA cement in it. The Mortar Mix has our Rapid Set CSA cement and a washed plaster sand. If you have further questions, please let us know. Thank you for choosing Rapid Set.

I have tied to repair 6 cracks varying in length and width anywhere between 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch wide. Ive mixed 4 to 1 ratio and they all now have a crack running the length of the crack. I am also wet curing once dry. I cant figure out if imdoing something wrong or if this is always going to happen regardless of what i do. I always clean, scrub, and powerwash the crack so that cant be the issue. Could it be i have a bad batch of the product? They were all fixed with the same box.
I'm planing to use this product to level a concrete front-porch, a section of the slab holds approx. 1/2 inch of water after a rain-storm. Can you apply an epox, polyurea or polyaspartic coating on this product after it cures? Thanks.
Hi Wayne. You can apply an epoxy coating on the Rapid Set Cement All after 24 hours of cure time. If you have further questions, let us know. Thank you.
Hi Brian. You can use Cement All to float a decorative application onto a Triton cement board. We recommend you wet the Triton board first so the board doesn’t absorb the moisture of the product you are coating it with. If you have further questions, please let us know.

The product states to start water curing when it has lost it sheen but how do I know i am not starting to water cure too quickly? Once i lay the product do I start wetting it as soon as it no longer looks dark / wet? So it start looking completely dry? Or should I start wetting it once all the areas to the side of the cracks have dried and only the material looks wet? Any sort of insight would help.
Start wetting as soon as its setting hard and keep it moist You will know by the light color its beginning to dry and when you rewet it turns dark again....

Question, I’m using cement all to create home decor (i.e. candle holder, trays). How much mineral pigments (iron oxide) can I use to colour the cement all? I know that the ratio for water:cement all is (1:4 by volume). So can you tell me the percentage of iron oxide by weight I can add. Thank you in advance!
Hello, you can add color to our products to add a more vibrant and decorative look. Depending on the color manufacturer's product you choose, we suggest following the color manufacturer's mix ratios for best results. Thank you!
Seems to be a great product. Found this at HD Canada. Unfortunately, they DO NOT carry the Extender in store for longer set time....only online?? Why if u carry the main line why don't u carry the support products?? Fortunately, I was able to use a little more water to give me a little more time as a novice with cement.
A couple of trials with this HDepot product in small batches worked OK, but also found that the RONA Bomix hypercrete fast set gave me much more confidence with a 25 minute set time and about half the price as HDepot product. Will buy Rona product again.

Unfortunately i have to patch a previously concrete patched spot in my driveway that just broke now in Dec, temps will be near 50 next week, not below 32 overnight. What kind of curing time should i expect & anything else to do besides mixing with hot water to help fight colder temps?
Hello. You can use warm water with Cement All to patch in colder temperatures. You can also warm the slab with a heat blanket prior to installing the patch. You should not have any issues applying the Cement All in temperatures of/near 50 degrees. By warming the slab and using warm water, you will still have a cure time of one hour. Hi Chris. Cement All is a better choice for crack repairs since it has finer sand and higher cement content. Clean and open the cracks as much as possible so the material can penetrate as deep as possible. Pre-wet the area before applying the material, but make sure you do not have puddles of water. You’ll have about a 15-minute working time. Once the material begins to harden, you'll need to keep it wet for about 40 minutes. Let us know if you have further questions. Thank you.

My concrete stair has granite step caps (8'x12") and natural stone 1/2" tiles on vertical parts of steps. 1 step underneath of granite cap crumbled from 3" to 5-6" deep, causing some vertical stone tiles falling off. Should I use rapid set mortar or rapid set concrete to fix crumbled concrete ? Can I install vertical stone tiles back while fixed step is curing (applying concrete on a back of tile) or I need to wait until it's dry? Do I need another product to attach stone tile to repaired concrete ? Thank you.
Hello, you can use our Rapid Set Mortar Mix to fix the vertical erosion. You'll want to clean the area of erosion very well, getting rid of any dirt or debris. You'll then wet the existing area you will be applying the Mortar Mix to so that the dry step doesn’t suck the moisture out of the wet material you will be applying. Once the water is absorbed, you can apply the Mortar Mix to full depth up to 6” in thickness. Let this repair cure for one hour and then you're ready to apply the vertical stone. You can use the Rapid Set Mortar Mix to apply the vertical stone as well. Thank you and let us know if you have further questions.
Hi Jimmy, cement-based products are not really designed to go over wood without the addition of a mesh wire system or other prepping system. This is because wood and cement-based products move and contract differently. With that said, depending on the application, you can use certain products for specific applications. If you can email info@ctscement.com with details of your intended application and contact information, one of our technical representatives will reach out to you to discuss. Thank you!
Most of these products can be stamped; however, you're going to have to do the experimenting yourself to determine the type and amount of coloring per unit of mix. I wouldn't use this thicker than 1/2", however. Anymore than that I would move towards pouring more of a portland cement/sand/mortar mix. More than an 1" and I'd move to a pure concrete mix. Coloring is always a tricky deal as you must experiment to see what the the fully-dried color will result in. Recommend making up a matrix of 6" x 6" slabs of different mixes, letting them fully cure, then determine what works best for you. Stamping is the last consideration as that comes AFTER you've nailed your mix, not before.
Can cement all be used to repair flaking and crack stamped concrete patio? And how about colored concrete, can this be stainable or paintable? Thank you.
Hi Daniel, Rapid Set Cement All can be used to repair a flaking, cracking, or spalling concrete patio. You will want to remove all flaking concrete so you have a sound substrate for Cement All to bond to. If this isn't done, any new material put on top of this substrate will fail. Once cleaned, make sure and pressure wash the area (with water) that you plan on coating with Cement All. You can then apply Cement All to recoat the flaking area. Make sure to water cure for 45 minutes while Cement All is curing. You can stain or add color to this material, and we would recommend measuring out the color ratio to water and cement ratio for consistency. If you have further questions, you can email us at info@ctscement.com or call 800-929-3030. Thank you.
Rapid Set Mortar Mix will dry to an off-white/tan color once its fully dry. This product is suitable for placing bricks. It's a fast setting mortar, so once you start mixing, be prepared to work fast as you will have about 15 minutes to work with it. If you need additional working time, you can add up to three packets of Set Control to slow the setting time of the material. set control is also located next to the other Rapid Set products. Please let us know if you have further questions.
Yes, Cement All will work just fine for a shower pan application. It will allow you to get as thin as you need, and as thick as 4 inches. Here are a couple of helpful hints: • Once Cement All begins to warm and harden, apply water to the surface for about 40 minutes while it’s curing. • Cement All is rapid setting, so have all of your tools in place prior to mixing. • Cement All will be structural after 1 hour, allowing you to place your shower/tub unit on top. Please let us know if you have further questions and thank you for your business.
Hello and thanks for asking. Cement All will work great for deck mud applications. Here are a few things to keep in mind before you get started. • The Cement All is a fast setting product, so have all of your tools ready to go, before you start mixing. • The Cement All will have about a 15 minute working window, and will be structural after 1 hour. • Once the Cement All begins to harden, keep it wet for one hour. Please let us know if you have any additional questions. Best wishes and thank you for your business.
You say cement all should not be layered. I repaired 2" deep holes in my steps. The surface is not quite flat. I need to add another half inch of cement all over my previous(cured) repair. Can this be done without any issues?
I had a similar issue on a patio restoration. I spoke with our local rep who contacted me within an hour after I submitted the question using their online form. He said you can do it but recommended applying their acrylic primer first.
Can I use this Rapid Set Cement with the Quickkrete walkmaker? Or do you guys have your own molds? Obviously I need it to be strong to use for a small patio.
Hello and thanks for your inquiry. Cement All will work in your mold. Here are some tips that may come in handy. 1. This is a fast setting material, so please have all of your tools and set up ready to go, prior to mixing 2. The product will give you about 15 minutes working time. If you need additional working time, you can add Rapid Set SET Control. Each packet will delay the setting time by about 15 minutes. Please be aware that warm water will accelerate the mix, so try to use cold water if you are in a warmer climate. 3. Once the material is placed in your mold and the material begins to lose its moisture, begin water curing. You can pond the surface with water or mist. Water cure for 45 minutes after placement. Let us know if you have more questions. Best wishes, and thank you for choosing Rapid Set.
Hi Ralph, thank you for your inquiry. Adding portland cement to the Cement All is not recommended as it will slow the products setting time, reduce strength, and increase shrinkage. We suggest adding color to the mix, which you can find in the same area near the Rapid Set repair products. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
I have cracks in my concrete driveway. I cleaned some of the cracks and applied cement all. I noticed though that the cracks (what was filled in) still looked damp after a few hours. It's solid but still has that damp color. Last night it rained and they looked very damp. Has this just not set 100% yet, is that what it does when it gets wet or is something else at play here? Still have more cracks to fill but don't want to proceed until I have an understanding of what's going on. Thanks.
Thank you for sharing your situation and apologies for just now seeing your question. Cement All should have hardened within the first hour of installing and would not look damp unless there was water in the cracks prior, or water applied over it likely causing the water to puddle. Do you recall if there was water in the cracks before filling them with Cement All? Also, how long after applying Cement All did the material harden and how deep was the material that was applied into the cracks? If you’d like to explain further for more support, please call us at 800-929-3030 and we will be happy to help.
Son. Everything will be ok. Just do one holy marry before you go to bad and your troubles will go away except for the damp color part but yes God will make rain go away.
Hi Paul, thanks for asking. We always recommend to remove the tile and apply the material directly to a properly prepared concrete surface. This alleviates any concerns about the tile not being properly bonded which could lead to the delamination of anything placed on top of the tile. With that said, the Cement All has excellent bonding characteristics and will bond to most properly prepared surfaces. If you have further questions, let us know. Have a wonderful weekend.
Hi Paul, though we cannot recommend going over tile, we suggest doing a trial area and evaluating the finished product. Here's the difference between the Cement All and OnePass... Cement All contains a fine sand and will deliver higher compressive strength. OnePass is meant to be a Skim Coat - it contains no sand and can be applied thinner.
Hi Danny, Cement All is a multipurpose concrete repair material that can be used for many different applications, including resurfacing old, worn concrete. Because Cement All is very fast setting, you’ll need to work quickly and have everything organized before starting your project. We make another product called Rapid Set NewCrete which might be better for your application. This a pure concrete resurfacer that uses the same Rapid Set cement, but has extra working time built in. This product is available in a 25-lb box and is applied at approximately 1/8" thick. Please let us know if you have further questions. Thank you for choosing Rapid Set!
Yes, Cement All can be used to make table tops. This product contains a very fine sand and will deliver a smooth finish. Rapid Set Mortar Mix and Concrete Mix can also be used, and will have the same setting time and workability. The difference is Mortar Mix will have a larger sand finish, and Concrete Mix will have a smooth rock finish. If you have further questions, please let us know.
This video gives a ratio of 4:1, but your datasheet reads 4.7L to 25kg, if by weight this comes out to 5.31:1, and this is your max-water mix. Is the video wrong, or can I use it at 4:1? I'm looking for as pourable a mix as possible... I know I can use Flow control to help, but being able to use a bit more water will help too, and strength isn't top priority as I'm casting planters and household stuff.
Hello, the video is referencing 4:1 ratio by volume (i.e. 4 cups of Cement All to 1 cup of water). The ratio by weight would be different because Cement All is more dense (heavier) than water. We estimate that a 4:1 ratio by volume would result in about 4.5 qts of water per bag. This is a good rule of thumb ratio if you don’t have a scale available to measure weight. If you want a more fluid mix, you can add additional water or add Rapid Set Flow Control. Please let us know if you have additional questions. Thank you.
@@CTSRapidSet Hi! Excellent answer, but I would like to know what is the ratio by weight? because I have been using a scale but I’m not sure I’m using the correct ratio. Thanks for your reply, it will be very helpful.

I'm trying to repair deep spalding on my garage concrete floors. Some as deep as 1/2". Can Cement-all be used instead of concrete resurface as the wear surface? Does it smooth out well? And how high powered does the pressure washer need to be for surface prep? Thank you
Hello Suman, you can use Cement All for crack and spall repairs from 0-4” in thickness. You will want to make sure and clean the patch area really well, getting rid of any loose debris or dirt. Make sure you have a rough area to apply the Cement All to, and wet the area down with water to give it its own moisture before the application. Once the water absorbs you are ready to patch with Cement All. After you apply Cement All, make sure to water cure for 55 minutes so you don’t get tiny surface cracks. The pressure washer needs to be 2000+ psi. Let us know if you have further questions.

Cement All is a multi-purpose repair material that can be used for many different applications. Cement All can be used for driveway repairs. We suggest you follow these steps to prepare your project. 1. Clean and roughen the area that you intend to repair. Make sure the surface is open and able to absorb water into the concrete surface. 2. Pre wet the area after you’ve prepped it. Do not leave any puddles. 3. Because this is a fast-setting material, make sure to have all of your tools in place prior to mixing. 4. Mix the Cement All to a loose peanut butter consistency. Mix only what you need, as the product has a 15-minute set time. When possible, use cold water for extra working time. 5. @@CTSRapidSet yeah i use it frequently for step repairs i was just curious if their were other products you guys make that are better suited to a given set of conditions
Regarding the repair of cracks, there are multiple ways to address them. If you are repairing cracks with a structural cement based material, it is key to follow these steps: • Clean out the area you intend to repair and chase the cracks. • Open the crack up so you can get as much material as deep as possible, removing all the dust. • SSD the surface, as this will give you a more durable long lasting repair. • Make a fluid mix (max water) and pour the material as deep as possible, striking and finishing the surface. Keep the surface moistened for one hour. Our Rapid Set Cement All is a very high strength, structural repair material, designed for multiple aspects of concrete repair. If you have a moving joint/crack, you'll want to open the crack and still follow the steps above. You can then use our Rapid Set self-leveling joint filler at about 3/8” along the surface. The Cement All will tie the concrete back together, and the Rapid Set self-leveling joint fill will give added elasticity along the surface, to detour any micro cracks from surfacing. Thanks for your question and for considering the Rapid Set products. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions.
Dear Raskal, Cement All is fast setting, structural concrete repair material, that is formulated for extremely durable results. Unlike other patching materials, you do not need to use a bonding agent with this material, like you would with other products, which means there is not that additional cost. Cement All has everything built in and you only need to add water.

Can Cement All be poured over a cured Concrete All when higher structural durability (Concrete All base) but a finer finish (Cement All topcoat) is desired? If so, is all that is required is for the cured Concrete All to be wetted?
Dear Cliff, Cement All is an engineered product that will achieve the posted performance by only adding water. With that said, Cement All contains a high content of cement and some people have extended it with sand as needed. You will want to do your own field samples and determine if the results are to your liking.

Be aware that the working time is very short, just 4-5 minutes. • Blend the color into the water first. Blend well with a paddle mixer and then add Cement All.
• Mix Cement All with the water and color for a full minute with a paddle mixer.
• Finishing/troweling can also affect the final color. Hard troweling will seal the surface and usually results in a darker color.

Can i build a bridge for my koi pond with this product???
I'm planing to use this product to level a concrete front-porch, a section of the slab holds approx. 1/2 inch of water after a rain-storm. Can you apply an epox, polyurea or polyaspartic coating on this product after it cures? Thanks.

Can I use to float a decorative trowell finish on Triton board for a water feature?

Question, how long do I wait after pouring to apply silicone based penetrating sealer?
Which sealer are you using?
Seems to be a great product. Found this at HD Canada. Unfortunately, they DO NOT carry the Extender in store for longer set time....only online?? Why if u carry the main line why don't u carry the support products??
Fortunately, I was able to use a little more water to give me a little more time as a novice with cement.
Aye, keep misting it lightly and it'll buy ya some extra time. Stronger end result, too!
A couple of trials with this HDepot product in small batches worked OK, but also found that the RONA Bomix hypercrete fast set gave me much more confidence with a 25 minute set time and about half the price as HDepot product. Will buy Rona product again.
I know this is way late, but if you want to extend the set time in the future, the set control product is just citric acid. Very easy to find. You can also use colder water to make it set later.
Will this fix holes in garage floor?
Hello. Rapid Set Cement All can be applied from 0-4" thick to repair holes in your garage floor. This product reaches structural strength in one hour allowing you to drive over the repairs in 60 minutes.
How soon can it be exposed to water
What is the coldest temp you can use this in? I did it in 42 degrees and it wouldn't stick at all. Took 6 hours to set up.
Mix it with hot water. You also have to prep the surface as well.

What is better to use? Rapid set mortar mix or rapid set cement all on a driveway crack?
Thank you.
@@CTSRapidSet When cement all dries what exact color does it become?

Thank you and let us know if you have further questions.
will this "stick" to wood?
Hi Jimmy, cement-based products are not really designed to go over wood without the addition of a mesh wire system or other prepping system. This is because wood and cement-based products move and contract differently.
With that said, depending on the application, you can use certain products for specific applications. If you can email info@ctscement.com with details of your intended application and contact information, one of our technical representatives will reach out to you to discuss. Thank you!
Can this be stamped? Doing an inlay of about 3/4" deep x 3" wide between pavers. Wanting to color and seal.
Thank you.
Hi Daniel,
Rapid Set Cement All can be used to repair a flaking, cracking, or spalling concrete patio. Thank you.

Does this dry white and can it be use as mortar for bricks I need to fix in some mortar spots. Thanks

Can you use this as deck mud to build a shower pan?
Yes, Cement All will work just fine for a shower pan application. It will allow you to get as thin as you need, and as thick as 4 inches. Here are a couple of helpful hints:
• Once Cement All begins to warm and harden, apply water to the surface for about 40 minutes while it’s curing.
1. This is a fast setting material, so please have all of your tools and set up ready to go, prior to mixing
Best wishes, and thank you for choosing Rapid Set.
can I add some gray Portland to your cement all to make the color change to more gray look.
Just do one holy marry before you go to bad and your troubles will go away except for the damp color part but yes God will make rain go away.

if countertop tile is properly scarified/sanded can this be used to cover tile at about 3/16"?
Hi Paul, thanks for asking. We always recommend to remove the tile and apply the material directly to a properly prepared concrete surface. This alleviates any concerns about the tile not being properly bonded which could lead to the delamination of anything placed on top of the tile. With that said, the Cement All has excellent bonding characteristics and will bond to most properly prepared surfaces. If you have further questions, let us know. Have a wonderful weekend.
CTSRapidSet another question..the tile is securely fastened to concrete counter top.. would your one pass product work just as well?
Hi Paul, though we cannot recommend going over tile, we suggest doing a trial area and evaluating the finished product.
Here's the difference between the Cement All and OnePass... Cement All contains a fine sand and will deliver higher compressive strength. OnePass is meant to be a Skim Coat - it contains no sand and can be applied thinner.

Can RapidSet CementAll Be used for Drive way? In Jesus name we pray. Amen
5. Once the material has begun to harden, begin water curing (spray water on the surface) for about 30 minutes.

I was always taught to never put cement in cement cracks am I missing something?
Regarding the repair of cracks, there are multiple ways to address them. If you are repairing cracks with a structural cement based material, it is key to follow these steps:
• Clean out the area you intend to repair and chase the cracks.
