Chandigarh:Tagore Theater in Local Sector 18 witnessed a spectacular celebration as Satyug Darshan Sangeet Kala Kendra Chandigarh marked its 18th anniversary with the 8th annual event, Swarajli-2023. The cultural extravaganza brought together approximately 300 students from schools across Tricity, showcasing their talents in music, dance, and art. Notably, children with disabilities from Vatika Special School and the Institute of Blind, Deaf, and Dumb participated, adding a special touch to the event.
Mr. Sajan and Managing Trustee Ms. Reshma Gandhi from Satyug Darshan Trust graced the occasion as chief guests, joined by a distinguished panel of special guests, including former MP Satpal Jain, GM of Verka Milk Plant Uttam Kumar Sinha, and others. The event also saw the presence of various dignitaries, including Dr. Gurjit Kaur, Patron of the Down Syndrome society.
The audience at Tagore Theater was enthralled by the brilliant performances, where the students showcased their musical and artistic prowess. The event not only celebrated cultural diversity but also emphasized inclusivity, with special students contributing to the mesmerizing performances. Shri Sajan highlighted the connection between music, happiness, and health, underlining the significance of the musical art of children with disabilities.
'Swaranjali 2023,' the grand finale of the Tricity Interschool Competition, featured captivating performances ranging from classical vocal renditions to Indian folk dances. Satluj Public School, Panchkula, secured the Running Trophy for their outstanding contributions across various categories, as over 300 students from 15 schools displayed their talent in dance, music, and art. The event concluded with the awarding of trophies and goodies to the winners, making it a memorable celebration of cultural diversity and artistic excellence.
