this helped me a lot in regarding to mapping buttons to the side buttons weirdly enough that the instructions that came with my controller did not tell how to do the start + S(1-4) function and just said the mapping is on the app only
why would you like to program an S button just to be another "x" button? You already have that. Can you program it to be a new button? Just to be a "quick save" or "quick load" button, for example, or fast forward.
Alright, just got this controller. Loving it so far but the dpad is stiff, I need to press it hard for it to register, which is a problem when playing rhythm games, otherwise, I have no major issues with the controller. How do I take it apart? I want to clean the metal plate below the plastic dpad so that it registers on light touches. I've unscrewed the two visible screws at the back but I can't seem to get rid of the grip, any tips on taking it apart so I can try fixing it?
That sounds like the sort of thing the manufacturer would be best placed to answer. If it's a new controller would cleaning under the d-pad help? There shouldn't be any build up of anything. But like I said the manufacturer would be the best person to ask about that sort of thing. And feedback from you about the d-pad would surely be useful to them too.
Thanks for including the thumbstick deadzone/sensitivity. I'm looking for that to replace my broken ps4 controller on budget.... so as I saw in your video right stick is horrible..: Do you will also do other game controllers reviews? like ipega 4023(that one is cute:) or Gamesir things in that price.... currently I bought old x box 360 wired controller but the stick deadzone/sensitivity is sh*tt..:) btw that s1, s2 buttons position is st*pid things..😂
Hello, a few days ago I bought the ipega pg 9120 controller (it's similar to the one in this video), after I took it out of the box I noticed that the left joystick is a little more to the left (it's not fixed in the center), but the right joystick is fixed in the center. Have you encountered a problem like this? Do you think I should exchange it for another one? (it's my first controller)
I don't have the manual to hand at the moment so not able to check, but if you've watched the video then I'm not sure why you would buy it, whether it's got sixaxis/gyro or not. Honestly, for the money, you could do a lot better.
A lot of the Chinese controller manufacturers have warnings about them not being compatible with Mediatek processors. I think it is mostly due to the software that they use for button mapping. I don't use that software and have rarely had problems that I can put down to the processor, but I can understand your concern. Honestly, the best controller that I've used, and it's fantastic value for money, is the 8bitdo Pro 2. I haven't seen any mention of it not being compatible with Mediatek processors. Check it out. It's definitely my favourite.
Hi!! What you can tell us about the D-pad ? I'm searching for a controller which i can play fight games, but i never see anyone doing an analysis of the d-pad of any controller. Why this vital parte of the controller is never analyzed?? Anyway, is the 9218 or 9220 have good D-pads for using in fight games? I mean, is it precise to execute the combinations of moves? Thank you!!
I don't remember a lot about the d-pad one way or the other, just that it was ok. I do try and make a point of covering the d-pad (it's kind of an essential thing!) but I find that what some people like in terms of feel, other people hate. I'm not a big fighting games player (mainly because I'm pretty useless at them) so I'm probably looking at a whole different set of requirements from the d-pad than maybe you are. My needs are a lot more general purpose, rather than trying to pull off certain moves in a fighting game. It's something I'll try and bear in mind and incorporate into future reviews though. Personally, I think the controller was at best ok and you could do a lot better. I have another controller review coming up in a few weeks time that is quite a weird controller and it's got a feature set much more geared towards fighting games. It's not the mobile controller review coming out in a week or 2. It'll be out after that. I'm out and about at the moment and don't have the model number to hand.
@@RetroGamesWorld Thankyou for answer and for considering look more closely to this part of the controllers in future reviews! I'll keep watching your reviews then. :-)
I am not really trying to defend the controller as it seems like cheaply made crap.. but I believe you were playing GOW on PPSSPP with the lag test, and PPSSPP has massive input latency.. it's a major, ongoing, forever discussed issue with the program itself. I think maybe the Gamesir T4 is an interesting one for a good controller with all the functions at a reasonable price. Still searching myself though also.
@@tristan_840 Gamesir was shocking. I had 2 different controllers from their line around 10 months back and returned both to Amazon within a couple days. Worst d pads EVER and constantly dropping out connection even with their own dongle! (let alone Bluetooth).Windows 11 pro here with MSI GT77 and intel Bluetooth. The King Kong Pro 2 is what I ended up with, AMAZING controller and even a decent d pad. Grippy to hold, the best analog sticks I have ever used and so on. I use an Elite with my Xbox but use the Gulikit with Windows.
@@tristan_840 Oh also, to put it in a nutshell. For Windows controller gaming and emulation, the 8bitdo SN30 Pro2 when I want the Dual Shock style layout, the M30 when I play mega drive, pc engine etc emulation, and the Gulikit King Kong Pro 2 for everything else. Those 3 cover absolutely everything for me. I also have friction rings which have completely transformed driving games and shooters, and some stick extenders.
@@RetroGamesWorld thank you so much for answering me✌️🙌 I had already managed to solve it, because I had tried, but the hole where you press it was very deep, and I was thinking it was shallow, but I managed to do it with a thin and long paper clip.
One of the best review i've seen
very nice review, I am sure it deservse few thousands views.
Thank you so much for your honest review!
This is the best Controller review I have seen, but I am looking for ioega 9083s.
Great content Sir!

You should try gamesir g5. But the mapping software has bad reviews

what button should i press if i want to use wired to my phone?
Bro try fitting the phone bottom up instead of top down design of the base.

Yes
It's an Xbox version it's ok
Are L2 and R2 analog? Thanks
how to connect to pc?
That was a really great Review. But i have a question that i cant seem to find anywhere. Do you know if this controller has sixaxis or gyroscope?

@@RetroGamesWorld um Brazilian. The prices here are completely different. This is somehow one of the cheapest ones.
But thanks for helping.
is there gamepad can compatible on MediaTek helio processor? please recommend gamepad I'm playing PUBG with my Redmi note 10s.

how to reset ipega 9218? because it is not responding to any command and does not hang up.
That looks like a reset hole on the back.

Glad you got it workiing.
Thoughs about his joysticks ?
Have you watched the video? It doesn't sound like it.
What games you can play on this?
Any games that let you use a controller, or mapping software. It's just a games controller.
@@RetroGamesWorld ok thanks
