Riu Yucatan is an ideal destination for vacationers looking to embrace the Mexican culture, with downtown Playa del Carmen just a short walk away. There are 507 rooms across 11 buildings, with 4 pools, 5 restaurants and 5 bars.
This location is ideal if you like walking out of your resort and stroll thru the neighborhood or to 5th Ave. Riu's have exchange privileges with other Riu's - just not Riu Palaces.
I was here only for a few hours and the resort was booked fully so I was unable to to see rooms.
Susan's comments: great for a younger generation.

From other reviews, it’s stated that the rooms r dated n smelled, I don’t believed that all rooms r such,isn’t it? From your stay, which block has the evening sun to the balcony? Also, it’s a kids friendly resort? From your video, in June 2023, no Seaweeds in the water, wonder there will b seaweeds in April 2024….Thanks
