Ok I edited got ones to hot ones and now I’m trying to edit again because I said “ha!” Not “a!” In the beginning and every time I try it deletes everything so this is me giving up 🤷🏼♀️
I met john in LAX. He had security with him and i was about to miss my flight. He was so gracious and told me to come with him so we could skip the lines. So witty and funny in real life as well as this interview. Thank you john!
Y’all gotta get Will Poulter on this show, he’s an actor but the way he talks about food, cultural and representation but also mental health is so brilliant that he’d be a perfect guest!
Just seeing John beam at that last question of "are you happy?" was such a pure moment. Hats off to Josh and the Mythical Team once again for another fantastic interview
I first saw John in Attack the Block and it's become one of my all time faves mostly because of his acting. But the more I see of him in interviews the more respect I have for him, he is such a down to earth and wise man. Love everything he said here, great guest Josh!
I had to watch Attack the Block for a college class I took one winter about black horror/sci-fi movies-Get Out, Us, Attack the Block. AtB was definitely one of my favorites from that class.
Great movie recently saw it on prime with my husband thought it was great was surprised by young John's acting sometimes you look back on an actors younger films and they're not good. Attack the Block was great
It's cool/crazy how josh really has conversations with people rather than throwing stupid meaningless questions at them. I feel like we actually get to know a person he interviews and I'm so impressed and here for it! 💜
"I can taste its thoughts" I LOL at that. I don't know this actor, but i really resonated with much of this interview. Seems like an upstanding fellow.
John Boyega has such a calming and wonderful energy about him and I feel like if you had him as a friend, he would be there until the end. I loved his responses and how much fun he had. This episode was amazing Josh!
Thank you for having captions that aren’t the automated ones. I understand that someone takes time out of their day to do it, and thank you for that. It helps me watch your stuff
I love how grounded he seems. A lot of people may seen lost, confused, or even extremely philosophical, but he's just like nah, I'm out here living my best life and riding the wave called living. I wonder if we can all find peace and contentment like that one day.
I remember when Damilola Taylor died. I was 7 at the time and it was on the news 24/7. Had no idea John Boyega was his friend. That's very traumatising to go through. RIP Damilola.
This happened a couple years before I was born but I heard about this and what a brutal way to die. Sadly, Damilola's father also died earlier this year so he may he rest in peace and also be reunited with his son in heaven.
I love how every food he loves, the story connects it to someone important in his life. That's awesome. His tastes are truly shaped by his family and community.
Amazing interview and great get. I've seen boyega do a lot of interviews but this is the most comfortable I've ever seen him and he just seems so genuinely himself. I feel like we're really getting to see another side of him. He's so inspiring.
josh is genuinely one of the best interviewers i’ve seen, and this show has one of the best formats and platforms. he’s so introspective and his research he’s done is always so relevant to the guest. it’s very refreshing.
I have just found you guys, and it was an instant follow. This interviewer is spectacular, and John Boyega is charming, funny and deep. Beautiful, all of it, and I’m so thankful to have found MK!! 🖤
John seems like such an amazing guy. It's nice to see him happy and doing well, especially with the backlash from fans and the studio for Star Wars. I hope to keep seeing him in projects in the future.
I learned more about John in this interview than in any other interview I've ever encountered. Absolute respect to everyone on this amazing episode 👏👏👏
A few months ago I was super sick and binge watched last meals but they’d all been uploaded like a year before and I thought that it was a series they laid to bed and was sad because it was my new favorite show- - but now it’s back and getting all the hype it deserves.
i think what makes Last Meal so special is not only does it bring up rare and interesting discussions that no other kind of interview does, but its also really chill. there's no pressure to look a certain way, or say things a certain way, or act a certain way. its feels like two people having a good time, eating comfortable and delicious food, and getting a little deep with it. so enjoyable and I hope this show gets more and more recognition that it deserves. (still want food fears to return though, that shiz was fire)
Being someone that was present at his speech in Hyde Park I can absolutely back Josh in regards to describing John Boyega as incredibly humble and self-less, his realness just radiates off him.
Literally one of the best interviews I’ve ever seen. Mad respect to both John & Josh. This is one of the tastiest conversations and tastiest meals on the show. John is much more articulate than I ever thought, I’ve never agreed with someone as much as I agree with his rhetoric. I wish more people would see this and thjnk this way. What a wonderful human being.
My favorite part of this show is when the guest is someone I'm unfamiliar with and have never heard of. I like getting to know them a little through this show without some preconceived notion of them already defined in my head. John seems like a really cool dude
Every time I hear John Boyega talk I like him even more. This show is such a good canvas for actually getting to hear interesting and honest thoughts from people who are normally having to answer the same old questions.
This series is incredible and only continues to improve. And as much as I love wacky-crazy-ADHD-cooking Josh, his focus and interview skills during these are amazing.
This is the best series... Not on RUclips or even the Internet, just straight up the best series period. I'm so excited for the people we get too see sitting in this booth in the future. John was an absolutely lovely guest! Great picks too, may be my favorite menu so far to be fair
Greatest last meal interview ever! John have just got my eyes on him from all the charm, fun and light he've got. Looking forward to more from these two❤
I first saw John in Imperial Dreams, and it truly motivated me. I couldn’t believe that someone from across the world would willingly be in a movie that was filmed in the hood. I grew up in that area and the movie’s message of struggling with loved ones to push them forward really stuck with me. if you haven’t seen it please do it’s a Netflix original and it came out a little under 8 years ago.
I just subscribed tonight after a few episodes. THIS is the BEST. I'm a huge Star Wars fan. Finn is canon, and John Boyega is delightful. I love everything about this episode.
Found this video on twitter and absolutely loved it! The concept of last meal interviews is SO interesting and would love to see this with a billion other actors!! Keep up the good work!!
Seriously, no joke... I have seen all last meals, and THIS is the one I resonated with 150%. Wow, this is exactly what I would have chosen. TIL John Boyega is my perfect soul mate.
Always love John Boyega in interviews. He seems really comfortable & open. I hope he's this cool in real life. Based on his actions, I feel like he probably is
This was amazing. I definitely have a new appreciation for John. I’m a man who thinks about death very often. I lost my best friend a couple year ago to a drug overdose and I’m a guy who has to take a drug every night, twice a night just to sleep and this specific drug can kill me quite easily if I mess up the dosage. I was afraid for weeks to even take it while at the same time needed it more than ever to sleep to get some escape from the pain of losing someone so important to me. I enjoy watching last meals and how they normalize death and explain the guests feelings and thoughts on the matter and also Josh’s thoughts.

Just excellent people vibing and being asked thoughtful questions by an equally excellent host (still want that crossover!). Keep it up, MK team! Looks like this upcoming film is gonna do right by him though, it sounds interesting.
john really went "make me everything" and i respect that about him
Yeah the guests that don't want to inconvenience Josh and his cooking staff are great but those like John are awesome
LMAO For sureee
This is officially one of the best interviewing shows rn. The fact you got so many different big names is crazy
This and Hot Ones for sure!

As soon as i saw gummy bears. I was locked in.

i definitely and absolutely agree! i love will poulter!
couldn't agree more
John’s strategy: order the whole menu, make death wait for him.
Respect!
This man really knows what should go into a last meal
I love how Josh gets his guests lulled into a comfortable casual peace before dropping a metaphysical god/death/afterlife question out of nowhere 😂
