    This actually looks more like a Butterscotch than a natural fish, which was the case on previous models.. looks quite like a classic vibe Squier now... For less than half the money.... Such a great guitar!

      It’s definitely more Butterscotch than Natural. It’s just slightly different than Fenders color. Great deal!

      @@BonesJonesMusicMD Yours doesn't have nearly as much wood grain as mine (or most of the other ones I've seen). Also, mine (and most others) are REALLY heavy, so it makes me wonder of Reverb did some sort of switcheroo on you.

      @nazfrde I'm thinking the same, the body isn't how the TE-52 comes from Thomann. The weight he says is light and the colour in this video doesn't have anywhere near as much grain as mine either.

    Got a lefty coming in two days.....to compare with two Squier CV50's I purchased earlier this year. Curiosity was too much...deal was nice, new from a HB dealer in the USA, free ship, $195 total cost. Yours sounds very nice....ain't gonna lie. Nice review! Thanks.

      Sweet! I bet you’ll love it. I bought a HB lefty Strat for a student recently and it’s great! Much better quality than most Squiers. Enjoy!

    Beautiful and very addictive guitar, only con is the weight

    • @BonesJonesMusicMD
      @BonesJonesMusicMD  Год назад

      The weight is a con because it's too light? It is very light at 6.6 lbs. Some players like a heavier guitar for the tone and sustain. This is super light so it's easier on your body if you play standing up a lot.

    I wonder what happened to this TE-52, because it’s far lighter than the usual 9 pounds due to the ash body and that may be the reason it doesn’t sound as full as the common HB TE-52’s. It sounds like a cheap Squire with a HB neck.

    • @BonesJonesMusicMD
      @BonesJonesMusicMD  Год назад +1

      It's definitely a bit thin. I'll most likely change the pickups and post an update with those!

      @@BonesJonesMusicMD Roswell pups are fine, but it looks like someone switched the body. TE-52’s don’t come in butterscotch, but have a natural finish. I’m suspecting they tricked you over this sale. Send some pics and info to Thomann to be sure.

    • @BonesJonesMusicMD

      They call it Natural, but it looks like Butterscotch. I like it fine so I’m not worried about it. Thx for the info!

    Gobsmacked by the weight. I have the same model purchased early this year and it's over 10 pounds! Otherwise great but I will eventually sell it because it's too heavy.

    • @BonesJonesMusicMD
      @BonesJonesMusicMD  Год назад +1

      Man that's too bad! Seems like the weight varies quite a bit.

      @@BonesJonesMusicMD I think you've been very lucky, most complaints about the TE-52 are that it is far too heavy (there's not much else to criticise, for the price it's excellent).
      Same is now being said about the new "thinline" HB TE69-TL - seemingly typically weighing in at 8lbs+, which for a semi-hollow is way too heavy.
      Both great guitars for the price, except for the weight :(

      @@steveburrows101 I bought another TE-52 and it's MUCH heavier! Strange, huh? Oh well. Still, for the price, it's hard to complain about anything!

      Hmm. Tough one. I think I like the Tele the best out of the two, but the Strat is super cool as well.

    Not sure how much you paid for the set-up from Reverb, but when you get them from Thomann, they come set up. Mine was perfect right out of the box.

      Thanks. I agree! This was my first HB so I was checking this Reverb seller. I’ve since bought a few directly from Thomann and they’ve all come setup well out of the box.

    Why do folks wear a hat when playing guitar in the house? --------Wierd

    • @BonesJonesMusicMD
      @BonesJonesMusicMD  Месяц назад

      Good question! I shave my head, so I get cold hands. The hat keeps my hands warm so I can play!
