- BF 2042 tested on the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Super 4GB GDDR6 at the 1920x1080 resolution, using the low settings.
The game is still broken in 4GB GPUs, some maps run well, while others have tons of stuttering issues.

1650 super good 1080p card in today’s gpu market. Still would go with a 1080ti for old gen wise because it’s just that good 👍🏻. Great video as always. Edit: ( 12 Fps 1% low KEK)

I would recommend 1060 6gb instead 1650 super but if you can buy 1080ti then buy it i am not a fan of used GPUs thought.

When testing games on GTX cards if they need more performance by going below 1080p you should consider benchmarking using NIS. Its NVIDIAs FSR competitor and can be activated on the driver level, it beats most ingame resolution scalers
Tried it for fun, but it looks horrible to me. Even FSR looks a lot better. But i guess if its the only way to get playable framerates with a gpu, then yeah go for it.
@@themadnes5413 Native FSR will always look better than injected and also if the game you're playing is grainy at all then using NIS or injected FSR will make the game look horrible. Its only nice looking depending on the game, so it can be useful

@@Hybred And yes a good TAA/AA implementation is key for a good looking image, specially for stuff like FSR and now NIS.
@@themadnes5413 Yeah but NIS really doesn't look too bad, its just the driver level NIS looks worse than native FSR because it happens at the end of the rendering pipeline after all the post processing fx. Assuming a game has good AA and you can disable film grain NIS can do a fine job on the driver level

Hii Kryzzp, I actually tried playing the game after the standard version release as I had heard they made some patch fixes to the server on my GTX 1650 (m)+ i510500H at 720p Medium and it was surprisingly very good. It stutters still but it was very good than I had presumed.

You can disable the shadows in trilogy remastered. Just go to the graphics settings and disable those. (Works in every game).
But do I want to? That's the question, I think it'll look the same as the originals without shadows 😅

same avg fps as my gtx 1660 and 2700x with 4.1ghz but i only get 60-80 gpu usage, that game is hella cpu intensive

In my case the processor is always on 100% and the graphics card is under 70%, the game is unplayable even in the minimum resolution 1024x768 can play properly. I have an r5 3400g, Rx 570 and 16 GB ram in dual
4 core 8 threads CPUs are really showing their age at this point. You should upgrade to a 6c/12t like a 5600x or find a 3700x for 8c/16t for cheap.

I am glad i did not pick up this tire fire sadly halo infinite on my 1660ti is also a dumpster fire of fps problems. AND since the game wont let Afterburner and riva tuner hook in i can not even see why its dropping frames just that it is.
This map , hourglass and another one I can't remember (in which a big iron gate falls ) the stuttering and lag happens

It's too weak for 2042
I think a 4 GB video card is mandatory.. (or 3.5 GB if you have a 970) :p

Why do you test low setting only in this game?
Because it runs with lots of stuttering on low, so it'll only be worse on medium, no point on testing that, it's unplayable

Go to documents/BF folder and edit profsave_profile , Set GstRender.Dx12Enabled to 1 because by default it's 0 , doing that will improve performance dramatically!I am Getting like 130-160fps with my RTX 3080 with r7 5800x, It's still bottlenecked but atleast fps is above 100!
Hey! I did that with a 3070 and it didn't improve much, it was about the same actually, maybe 5 FPS higher
Maybe with higher end cards with a bigger CPU bottleneck it works better :)

Hmm this last patch gave a nice improvement on my 1650 super and on low from 80 to 100 fps without any stutters. Is this after that patch?
Yes it is. I get 0 stutters in 4 or 5 maps and lots of stutters in the remaining maps.
I get 30 more fps with 3080 on 1080 smile

They updated the game yesterday i tought they had fixed the 4gb stuters in 4gb cards. Guess not.( but the 1650 handled this like a champ in fps numbers.
