Hi, thanks for your comment! I would recommend them, you just need to find one… unfortunately I haven’t seen any for sale for a while. I’m hoping to be able to get some seeds from mine one day
Gorgeous tree, I think these are superb and I have been looking at one today here in Devon, England. I don't know if the one I saw had a mixture of male/female cones on it though so I reckon that's an excuse to go back and see it again lol
Thanks. Yes, definitely need to go back for another look! Can’t see any female cones on mine yet. I thought I might have seen some but turned out to just be the new growth which is a much lighter / brighter green than the previous growth
@@palmsexoticsuk2194 Fingers crossed for you, we got lots of sun if that helps atm or in the SW here anyway. I think I read that these trees can either carry just single sex cones or can carry both sexes, I don't know if that is fixed for the life of the tree, some plants can chop and change can't they. I'm no pro but I'm trying to study it mainly for my houseplant collection. Check out Plant World, Torquay, Devon. They don't sell Wollemi seeds yet but they may well do in the future and they have many other rare species on site that they seed and sell.
Wow fantastic to learn more about this tree. Thanks for the video.
No problem, I’m glad you found it interesting!
Hiya mate, just found your channel. I'm north of England too. I really want one of these too and your video is encouraging me. Thanks subbed

@@robworrall6832 thanks, yeah I’ll check them out!
How old is that monkey puzzle tree in the background?
Hi, I planted it about 6 years ago and it was probably 5 years old at that point
@@palmsexoticsuk2194 I have one too. They seem to be growing pretty slowly.
It’s leaning
It is! I tried staking it a couple of years ago to straighten it but it’s determined to grow at an angle it seems
