Good example of how to turn your shrubs into big green meatballs, with no thinking required. Brainless pruning that anyone can easily accomplish. It's much, much harder to prune this yew by cutting off individual branches with hand pruners to minimize those lanky annual sprouts, reduce the size of the plant, AND leaving it looking natural.

Sure. It's a battery-powered hedge trimmer. Powerworks, 82 Volt battery.
