This is Llangollen slate quarry. I dived here late 70s before I left for Australia. Back then there were some fish, not many but there were some. Clearish five but cold.
I used to go swimming there when I was younger and jump off the rocks on the side I got my mate to through me my snorkel an I mist it an as it was sinking I thought I'll never see that again an I did on RUclips hahahaha
@@SmudgeDiver where i live in swansea there is a quarry up the back of kilvey hill fforest when the council cleaned it up there was 80 something plus csrs there swansea used to be the car crime capital of Britain in the mid/ late 1990's its a beautiful area now did you have bad skin diving in there

@@swanseagunner2046 no. We are wearing dry suits any way but the water was fine. Loads of people used to swim in there
It was a lovely colour water i had to laugh when they said they turned it black then it returned blue 😂😂

Diff one that’s like swimming in bleach, same town I believe, the one that they try dying black to keep people from swimming, sorry it’s in Buxton
SmudgeDiver the PH level of the water is some what the same as raw bleach or ammonia at 11
