A very good information rich channel. Me being owner of an Irish retiree for more than a several years, I can say JW is spot on an knows the quirks of these beautiful, graceful and very gentle breed. JW, thanks for the good work you do. Cheers from Prague, Czech rep.
All beautiful dogs. I love how they change as they settle into home life. My boy was an entirely different dog after 12 months - and has gone from strength to strength. He started from a pretty bad place, bless him, so the change was heartening to see.
Just recently subscribed to your channel. Thankyou for sharing your really thoughtful & really informative insights & advice. I have an adopted lurcher called Jasper his traits are very similar if not identical to a Greyhound.
Beautiful Greyhounds! My “Red” was always the gentleman since I adopted him 3yrs ago. “Peanut” was and still is a little twitchy after having her for 3yrs. She seems to do the unexpected. Like shredding tissue paper from my bathroom trash can. I have to just laugh at her shenanigans. But both are a total joy to be around. I usually tell people to be patient and you’ll see a totally different Greyhound after having them for six months.
@@jwcaninecare A friend gave me a kitchen trash can with a battery operated lid. You would put your hand over a certain spot on the lid and the lid would open. Well one day I caught Peanut opening the lid with her nose. I laughed and thought nothing of it until the day I came home to find my house littered with trash. Yet, Peanut had used her nose to open the lid and enjoy her day. Needless to say I removed the batteries from the can. No more magic tricks.
What did you do working with Jimmy to stop that barking ? I’m following all your videos for insights to these lovely dogs , as I would like to adopt one when ,times right, but advance knowledge etc ! I have couple of older dogs at moment, so way way ahead yet !
Hope you are able to get that greyhound in the future! For Jimmy's barking i acknowledge his warning and invite him to come and do something else instead 😊
