Good on ya mate. I'm a painter so I've been doing my head in trying to do some wiring at my house. Finally , someone who explains everything in easy to understand language. Cheers mate👍
in 4 months course (pre-apprentice), coordinators didn't know how to simplify this as you did. Good work mate.
The bonus in the end is just awesome; you wrote everything on the board for us. Thank you bunch, D.!!!!

Good stuff mate, took me ages to find electical info that relates to Australian conditions

hey mate, thanks for all the sparky vids, appreciate it. ive got a ceiling 360 sensor i wanna wack up in my workshop kitchen bewtween the two lights. Both lights are running of one switch. my question is if i put a sensor what would i need to do to install it between the two so it looks tidy?
thank you, Dave, good explain, if you can have another video demo how to wire it, esp how to use the Loop terminal, that will be great.
Great video, sound like my like boss, no bullshit.
Thank you Dave for the awesome video. I just started electrical engineering course. May I ask you what does P/PT stand for??
Hi there,
Thank you for helpful videos. Could I ask if I can connect a switch to my 240v water feature pump?
When wiring a battery backup/emergency light that requires unswitched active would you use a white or red wire? I assume the options are either use the twin and earth as normal plus a single red for unswitched active, or option 2 is use red for unswitched active, white for switched active, and neutral/earth as normal.
Awesome!
Thanks mate. just a quick question regarding clipsal 20amp switch. where does the ground wire go as they are not colour coded.
Thanks mate
What a legend👍 made changing my lights a piece if piss
Hi Dave! Where are you from friend? I'm electrician from Russia.Very interested and useful video.
Cheers.. keep the helpful vids coming..
Question...with an out side light.. do all lights need an earth?
I was told i had an outside light that wasnt hooked up.. because it needed an earth.. possibly because the actual light fitting.. is a metal fancy one.. im not sure..only going on what i was told but id like to get it working...
Howdy, yeah if it is not a plastic fitting (ie, has exposed metal parts) it will require an earth cable, to ensure that the casing does not become live if there was a fault. If you find the nearest electrical fitting that has an earth cable behind it, and connect an earth cable from there to the light fitting that would be fine. Sometimes its not an easy job to do without cutting holes/installing capping!
@@sparkydave cheers.. so a cheaper less hassle way around that.. remove the metal fancy fitting.. put a plastic fitting on.. and problem solved..
Red wire can also be brown wire, correct?
So what is number 2 on a light switch for?
Hello! Can I ask you for you help? Soon I'm goin to have an exam in UK to prove cvalifikation of an electrician. Is it possible if you can help me
