I love watching bits and bobs and other junk turn into a clever art piece. I especially love what you did to an old piece of corrugated cardboard! I'll bet Ian loved it!!!
Mike, I'm 6 years late in viewing, but OMGoodness.. You are looking fine in your bow-tie and Ian is so cute as a baby and handsome in his SteamPunk outfit. Your rusting and aging techniques are wonderful, and then when you added the Turquoise dry-bush... WOW! (Turquoise is my favorite color... LOL.) I'd say your NO-MOJO did a mighty fine job. Thank you for sharing your creativity.
I love it when people comment on old videos as I have to rewatch to understand the comment…it’s fun to see what I did back then as I’ve done so many videos I forget! Mx
@@MikeDeakinArt Thank you; I like looking at the older videos too. Sometimes I have an idea and not sure where to go with it... then I'll look back. The 'good old days' were a lot of fun, but, of course, so are the new creative days. :o)
I was in a bit of a creative funk myself, and have been watching some of your older videos. This is the one. I love the whole idea. Although I watch a lot, I’m not really chatty. I just wanted to say thanks for the work you put in to these videos. They are such great inspiration.
Well, Mike, you may have lost your Mojo, or your Mojo lost you but you obviously found each other and a great project is the result. You need to have a similar one of you made!! Ask Ian to try his hand at it! LOL It would be fun to see what he would come up with!
Hi, Mike, that's a brilliant project. Wasn't Ian a cute little chappie all those years ago lol...I can say that 'cos I'm older than both of you ;). I'd love to see you do one of yourself to match it so that they can both be displayed side by side. Like some of the other commenters, I'd love to know how you made the cabinet card of Ian. Oh...and could you possibly send some of your mojo down to Cornwall please?? Bejay xx
Mike that project is so Cool. Love Ian's cabinet card....can you make one of you and sell me one of each of you guys. Glad the mojo is back and you helped me to work through mine. tfs
Thank you again Mike for your tutorial, i absolutely appreciate your talent. I love vintage photos luckily I have a few great grandparents photos, unfortunately I can't put names to them. I have one I am pretty sure is my great grandfather. I was fortunate enough to visit his family vault in Salford Oxfordshire. Also I had the opportunity to visit the mill where he lived and worked. The mill / house is now been modernised by a family called teal I think they run it as a pottery school. Again I was very fortunate to visit Mrs teal after getting in touch. Mr John Lyne being my grandfather was a popular person in his day as also working the mill he was also the church warden for several years. Also I looked up the name Lyne and found a gentleman also related sir John Lyne who became a polotition in tazmania. You can look his name up freely in Google. Thank you again for your tutorials. Unfortunately I am unable to find any photos of the salford mill Oxfordshire I have a photo of a photograph of the original mill but I didn't take it too well. When I type salford mill in Google all I get is the mill in salford Manchester.
I love the rust effect. And Ian was a very cute baby! I've just ordered a copy of the magazine you mentioned; I was lucky enough to find a UK Ebay shop with a few copies left.
Gorgeous . I have heard you mention cabinet cards before. Would you tell me about their origins . We don't have them here in Australia that I know of . Ian was, and is a real cutie pie . I too would love to see a matching piece of yourself please mike . Any leftover mojo please send down under . Xx
That is very pretty, thanks so much for explaining what you are doing and why, also glad to see how to correct areas, when need be. I ENJOY THE MAGAZINE ALSO AND GET LOTS OF INSPIRATION FROM IT. I also get the magazine by the same company entitled " where women create and where women create business." Lots of good articles. 😊😊😊😊😊
Very cool ! I love that rust look cause i dont need flowers and butterflies everytime. (I prefer Pirates and Zombies... not combined.. but hey.. great idea..haaahhaa) I need to look for such a glue with a tiny tip cause i get crazy everytime when i want to put my delicate chipboard from scrapiniec somewhere. Didn´t find it yet...maybe Amazon. Have a nice day. Love your work.
Hi Mike such a great video. Have you done a tutorial on that embossing tool? The big shot or can you recommend a video on it. Im interested in one but trying to learn more. Thanks for sharing!

Names change over the years and maybe it's now known as something else!
@@MikeDeakinArt no, it's still the same, it's owned by Mrs teal I feel sure they run a pottery place there.

I bought a set of three bottles from an EBay store for model train makers. So much easier to use than a fine brush. Jan Brown x
Great canvas. How did you make the cabinet card? Glad to see the bow ties coming, out again.

Smart idea to go to pinterest for ideas
Ian will love it, a bit steampunkish for his likings. I love it too. Just one question I am wondering. Who used all your bloody gesso?!
Doreen is right. You should make another canvas using your baby picture.
Hi Mike, I really love this project. Are you going to do one of yourself as well? Thank you for your inspiration, hope y'all have a great weekend.
I love this project I have some photos that I could do for family members for gifts great idea thank
"Not gonna go mad" ... applies rust effect to stainless steel. lol
