The lyrics are well written and thought out for this wonderful song. Not your typical watered down lyrics that up coming artist at the time were recycling from the old school freestyle producers which in the end destroyed freestyle. Lack of creativity i guess. Everyone was singing and sounding to much alike. When i first heard Foolish Pride ii immediately picked up on the music and lyrics and thought to myself this something different, fresh and new, especially the way it was sung. Another track the had me thinking freestyle would get saved was "Naomi" by Of Unknown Origin, an exquisite track and also different.
These were the dayz. Cruzin' through the park then up & down the BLVD. with your arm wrapped around your lady and not another thought clouding your mind or bringing you down.
