- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused Hezbollah of trying to assassinate him, after a drone targeted his house. Netanyahu said the Iran-backed group had made a 'grave mistake.' The drone was part of a wave of attacks launched by Hezbollah into northern Israel.

Anyway obviously Hamas taking hostages was a war crime even if they wanted to exchange them for illegal prisoners held by Israel, but seriously after Israel have slaughtered 15,000 children in a barbaric medieval attempt to ethnic cleanse Gaza, you have no right to expect sympathy from anyone. All innocent life is equal. One of those children was worth more than Netanyahu. Thus it seems you are the only person who doesn’t get the humour in the comment.

My family is all from Belfast. The British used to call us barbarians, until the fighting became too costly, and a serious peace process was initiated. Here's hoping Israel and Palestine can one day engage in a meaningful peace process... Until that day, it's rather funny seeing the irony of his response to his house getting hit... It's a step up from fire-kites ain't it? One wonders how the advent of drone warfare will change the strategies of conflict. I'm trying to imagine "The Troubles" with drones.

Negotiations didn't work before to free the hostages. Israel is the only one taking action to retrieve said hostages. I think if you are an educated person and a hostage, you would be very grateful for what Israel is trying to do.

Then it says IDF attacked a densely populated area in Beirut which might have contained a Hizbollah weapon depot. DW takes IDF for its word without any real journalism. Doesn't that densely populated area contain any elderly people/children? If yes, why aren't they talked to? Where are those affected people? If you use the human shield argument, why did your PM get a villa within a civilian area? Is he using the area as a shield?
